- This is a short video of how Oakland is becoming a Dumping Ground & Homeless Encampment. This video was shot June 20, 2019. There is a lot more areas in Oakland where there is homelessness & garbage thrown on the street that I was not able to cover in this video.
Disgrace & dishonor?Really Lucky for you that you still have a place to live in.You never know what these people have through why that ended up on this situation & what is your govt is doing to help alleviate the life of these homeless people .This will be an eye opener in the whole world that life now is not that easy anymore but with God's help people like this will soon rise again.Be an advocate to help them that there is still hope to improve their lives.Watching here from the Philippines.
Nice to see porta potty bathrooms for them to use... They need Dumpters too.
TRUTH.IS.HELLA. BITTER and a facility to shower...
They need detox..mental hospitals. ...and a freaking job...not a dumpster.
To add insult to injury,some of those homeless people have jobs,good,decent jobs but can't afford the sky high rent,for the town to be the way it is,why it cost so much to live there

This is horrible. I can't be mad at folks who are homeless with no place to go, but this is a dayum shame.
We thought the crack epidemic was a problem in Oakland in the 80's. Wonder why just 30 years later that this community can't handle this? Because it never recovered from the last issue. Hmmm..Let's regentrify and displace the city. That should help right? And there's nothing better than watching rich people in a place like this explain it to the rest of us. If you have 5 thirsty folks around a bowl but only 2 can drink, there ain't much the others want to hear from you less you share.

So it would be ok if they were camping on a different street. How simple minded. Why dont we try to do something about the issue and not worry about the name of the street their camping on

I agree with you Cane. It's a shame how Oakland has become. The people & city officials seem to don't care about the homelessness & garbage that's piling up on the streets daily. I never seen Oakland like this before.
This is part of the byproduct and result of the gentrification of the once black neighborhoods which I grew up in of North Oakland, West Oakland, and Berkeley. This is how we were priced out of out community and there was no place to put us. This is also caused the social engineering of criminal activities of drug trafficking and crime, which made our people die out, as their children were made into drug dealers, drug addicts, and criminals, who loss the inheritance of the properties of their hardworking parents to government seizures, and foreclosures. Through the deceitful use of wicked usury practices, laws, and government policies, our people have been successfully moved out of this prime real estate into the streets, under freeway underpasses, parks, and the streets of Oakland, which had no other places to put them. This is because we refused to heed the warning of God, sent to us by His Servants of God and enlightened ones among us. As Malcolm X put it best ; " We have been had, bamboozled, and run amuked. We are suffering from the School of Hard Knocks because we rejected the Truth and refused to listen. Now we suffer from the pain of our ignorance. for not listening to the truth, when it was given to us. I am speaking from 1st hand experience, because I also lived through this process. Now we are reaping what we have sown. But we can cry for the homeless people, do what we can to help, and not try to be a judge. But we can not say in honesty and truth we were not warned, because I was one of the ones who sacrificed, and suffered much of my young life trying to give our people the warning.
The Warriors and the Raiders left the city, move them there. It’s only a matter of time for the Athletics to move! Then the Arena and the coliseum will be 100% available and a better place for the encampment or the Occupies!
Now i Know why the Raiders are leaving !
