I was a while water raft guide going through the Royal gorge for three summers. We used to have to tell the customers not to look at the train when going through difficult rapids so they could concentrate on not flipping the boat over 😂.
Awesome video!! So glad we could experience what it's like in first class on our local tourist attraction thanks to you two, haha! It was such a blast hanging out while you were here!
That was a fun video!! Chis looked like a little kid when he got to blow the horn… so cute! The food looked delicious! That’s a pretty long train. Thanks for taking us along 👍🏼
Oh wow... I've lived here in Colorado since I was a kid and I've never done the Royal Gorge Railroad. Now I need to try it. It's the cool that you took the camper up Skyline Drive. Did you stop and see the dinosaur tracks?
So fun to see you guys in an area where we used to live (Salida) and we used to go down to or through Canon City quite often! You guys were brave to take the shelf road. We never did that!
We did this last summer and it was so much fun! Did you go across the bridge to get the overhead shots? I’d definitely recommend the first class experience. Looks like you got much better food and faster service.
I love train videos. Its sad that actual passages train service ended in Chattanooga in the 70s. My dad could get on a train in Trenton, ride to Chattanooga, an from there go anywhere in the country. But that was before I-59 was built destroying most of the tracks.
Isn't my state awesome!!!??? And Canon City is a wonderful town to explore. From the railroad, to the prison museum, to the Royal Gorge and then the dinosaur digs... just a bunch to see and do. Available almost all year long too. Ya'll gotta come back and spend a summer out here. (wink wink) Until next time... Travel safe.
Fun fact: The conductor technically trumps the Engineer. The engineers goes forward and backwards and is in charge of the locomotive. But the Conductor is in charge of the train itself and tells the engineer what to do when switching cars.
We lived in Colorado for a few years when the kids were babies and its such a beautiful state. Fun video!
❤ Colorado is so full of amazing places!
What a wonderful way to spend a Wednesday! The conductor had an amazing story..example of love what you do! Beautiful video guys! ~Cara 😊
Thanks, y'all! He was a super nice guy and loved sharing about the area. 🚞

The views were beautiful!
Thanks again for visiting our little town.

So so cool! I can’t think of a better way to see Colorado!
It was such a fun little ride!
“is this what I think it is?” 😂 amazing, I love that there’s an outdoor deck on the train. Great video y’all!
😂
I want to go!!! I would love to take my grandchild on this trip. Bet they would never forget it.

Incredible😊! This makes me want to go to the TVRM in Chatt.......I've never ridden but have wanted to try it.
I rode that years ago and remember enjoying it :)
I'm sad we don't build stuff like this anymore. :-( Thanks for sharing this awesome experience 🙂
❤️ thanks for watching!

Salida is such a cool town! We really like our time there, too

Took the trip last summer, although it was a nice ride, it certainly wasn't worth the cost.
Nope, not at all worth it. It’s a waste of time and money.
😔

I wish we still had train services like that in Chatt!

It really is an incredible state!!
Which of the 3 tickets did you purchase? They only have the options of vista dome, deluxe, coach, and ride with the engineer.
Deluxe!

I didn't know that!
Is it canon or what she says?? Canion
