✈I think your video would have to be the best Air France flight report, that i have watched in TH-cam to date, i found all your info very helpful re what options are available between business / premium & economy class cabin's. Short haul i'd prefer to keep to ecomomy class, but long haul i reckon i could afford to upgrade to premium economy., but business class would be a no no for me. Awesome video there Aviatrix👍
Now the meals are much better in Premium Eco than in Eco! Michelin Star menus which are simply delicious! The metal cuttlery and the true glass make also a big difference!
I used AF Premium Economy in August of 22 and I am booked again for August of this year. For me its more about the seat being a bit larger than anything. I'm a big boy and that extra couple of inches in the seat width is amazing. I do find that clam shell seats aren't as comfortable for sleeping however, it is back to being way less cramped more than anything else. Also, I can move around in my seat and not disturb any seat mates. With bone spurs all through my spine, I tend to move a lot and so that alone is worth the extra $'s.
Your video, like so many youtube videos recently, asks the question 'Is it worth the upgrade?'. Problem is, 'worth it' is very subjective and what may be 'worth it' to one individual may not be 'worth it' to another.
To my expérience, when you are a flying blue member with an economy réservation, air France proposes an upgrade for premium economy for 280€ and this forth it.
I was wondering if I should upgrade to Premium economy for my family next time I fly back home (12 hours flight). And you confirmed my doubt that sleeping in premium economy is much worse than in economy, especially for my kid who can lie on several seats in economy.

En 2023 viajé, ida y vuelta, de París a Buenos Aires. Buen espacio para estirar las piernas porque estaba en el asiento que da al mamparo. El reposapiernas no cumple con su función, ya que sólo se despliega 45°. No es verdad que entreguen auriculares con cancelación de ruido, de hecho eran chinos, sin marca y de pésima calidad. Pero lo que más debo destacar es EL SERVICIO (o la FALTA DE...). Poquísimos auxiliares de vuelo, que deben atender Premium y Economy. Te tiran la bandeja de comida, te sirven media copa de bebida... y DESAPARECEN. La comida: extraña (ensaladas agridulces) y sobre todo: POCA. Menos mal que había llevado galletas. A LA VUELTA: todo igual, mismo asiento... pero sin agua en los baños (en todos). Entre la comida principal y el horrible desayuno, NO SE ofrecen NADA de NADA para picar. Este año debo viajar nuevamente, pero obviamente que no lo haré en esta descuidada aerolínea semi-estatal.
I originally supported your comment but upon viewing this video again, I believe he was talking about the monitor size and not seat width which he had earlier said was 19 inches. Do you know for sure the monitor was a non-standard 18 or 19 inches? That is an odd size. Help please.
Those leg rests that come out under the seat are really useless. Too angled, and they just get in the way of your feet! Tried them on BA PE recently….very annoying.

Air France recently introduced a new thing where premium economy has 2 different meal choices that are totally different from economy

I recently flew with AF in premium economy to BKK. My experience was very good. What is mentioning in this review is accurate 👌🏽

Premium economy is different from economy class
