Not for most people, most people save the main quest of a game until the very end (as when you complete it, the stakes for the rest of the game go way down and the game just feels so much more empty)

That is, only if you can keep it. Which is possible with Pickpocket 100, just put it on Ralof/Hadvar (it says 0% but you'll need to keep trying), and return to Ulfric or Tullius and then at any point at your leisure you can go get it again

I got my first at lvl 6 on Legendary mode, the dragon priest was glitched and I just kept shooting him with the bow
This has happened to me at a few time.

Your lucky i got glitched to where when i used all my arrows of one type all my arrows dissapeared
This same glitch happens to me with the reverend dragons, they just land and rarely attack.
I think I had this happen to me once, but I don't remember. Either way, I don't need a glitch for that. All I need is to dual cast incinerate for free with the impact perk and gear enchanted to make destruction spells 100% cheaper, and nothing can do anything to you. That's why Miraak was disappointingly easy, and I beat him no health lost. I just trapped him in an impact loop. And then I turned around and killed his dragon in one hit (even if I didn't, it would've been trapped in an impact loop). Then turned back around and trapped Miraak in an impact loop again. Than Hermeus Mora stole the kill.

In my first play through of Skyrim, I got all the masks but stored them all in my house. I put Volsung and Morokei’s mask on a mannequin. Then I took all the masks with me including the ones on the mannequin. I did the process to get Konahrik’s mask and then came back to my house and guess what. Volsung and Morokei’s mask where back on the mannequin so I had double Volsung and Morokei
That happened to me as well when I was moving my mask from gallows hall to myrwatch
same here but with the ebony mail i put it on a manakin one day and it has been duplicating it ever since i have 4 know.

When I saw nahkriin, I had no idea of what the dragon priests were useful for when all killed. But I knew seeing him, that he had some type of significance. Being level 13 took me close to 2 1/2 hours since I didn’t have much I didn’t prepare. He actually got stuck in a doorway away from the dragons and I killed him very easy :)
That first mask would have been a godsend for all of the times I went through falmer areas on legendary

I was kind of pissed off when you can't wear a simple helmet except the falmer helmet over the masks. I might as well wear a piece of cardboard.

i think there's a helmet (or at least in the last gen version) that you can wear with the falmer helmet as well, which lets you have 2 helmets on at once. If you max your enchanting, and double enchant both, (or even just get the falmer helm and wear it on a dragon mask), then of course have some enchanting potions to use when you want to enchant, you could have some crazy boosts on you on top of the already decent enchantment from the dragon priest mask. I haven't gone that far yet on the older version, since i never knew about it, but if you want to get some unreal stats in the end (like 1.6k armor, swords with 500+ attack), then that's how you gotta do things. there's guides and all for that stuff, but finding out how to do it on my own (minus the 2nd helm thing) was a nice amount of fun. :3 although it took a while.
I don't wish to ruin your dream but there is only certain amount of armor that truly counts in the game. and it's way below 1000 region. after playing the game long enough you can literally wear anything you wish and you will have beat armor rating possible even with basic leather armor. I've seen a video dedicated to this but I don't remember what it was exactly. In all fairness, Skyrim is a RPG game, role play a bit. I Joined the Nightingales and I use their bow and armor even thou I could clearly have better items, but I'm part of them and it's looks amazing.

it wasn't really a dream since i got an armor rating that high, but yeah, you're right. i looked up some stuff on it and it says 667 armor is all that counts (that 80% damage reduction cap), but they said you can take much less if you use a shield, and that's understandable. the attack damage on the other hand though... if there isn't a cap for that, and it doesn't seem like there is, then going through the motions to be practically godlike still have their benefits. i might jump on later on and see how this armor rating max thing works though. i'ma try my light armor set, then go back to my main one to see if there's any difference. i don't expect to see one, but it'd still be kinda fun to check. thanks for letting me know about that though.

If I ever play a mage I go strait for Morokei and then once I level up and have more reserve magicka I switch to Nahkrin. At that point if I'm using destruction spells I have so much magicka that I never need to worry about regenerating it.
If you use the Ring of The Erudite, Morokei is better. :0

I am rather new to the game and I like to explore in the nature, and today I was up in a snowy mountain when a dragon came and circulated over me, I started to shoot with my bow, then when it landed I used my war axe, then when it lifted again I backed off to restore; then I jumped high in my chair, it was and explosion and chaos, the dragon crash-landed and was dead, I ran towards it to take things not understanding what had happen, suddenly a super huge skeleton is over me fighting 6 ice trolls, so I back away even more, the screen go dark and I "found" a new shout; now I jumped into the fight and after almost use every potion in my inventory I got one mask (Krosis), and I love it for I love to sneak and use a bow.

Thank you, ESO! This guide will prove useful in making a checklist for when I start a new character. My current Dragonborn, an Orc, has kind of screwed up getting these, because I used Dawnbreaker to beat the Priests. The shockwave released upon impact appears to render the masks unretrievable or unfindable afterwards. So I've decided to use warhammers to beat them instead. I hope none of the remaining Dragon Priests know the Disarm shout...

The skeleton is actually rather recent. It was probably eaten by trolls. One of the masks has someone hired by the guy getting you to collect it by posing as a soldier

Actually you can block magic damage with a shield, (elemental protection). That with alteration (Atronach) then depending on your race, mine is Nord (50% cold resistance) Breton would work better. Awesome for a battle mage or paladin type character. Much resistance. Mages would fall dead at your feet.
Vokun was the first mask that I ever obtained, but that’s how my follower, Lydia, died. So, that mask is a memorial piece for her. To thank her for laying down her life in honor of helping me take down that dragon priest

Imagine being a Breton with 100% magic resistance, and being able to absorb magicka from hostile spells, but also being immune to diseases and poisons.

it should also be noted that you can wear the Jagged Crown along with the mask but I did cheated a bit to make myself be able to keep the Crown because if you played that mission you`ve to return to ulfic the crown or something like that but yea... plus the crown gives more armour rating(27 to be exact).
This game is 9 years old and only now I'm collecting the masks, I just did the hevnoraak quest for the first time and it was a surprise to me of how good and short it was

I've been wearing Otars mask since the lower levels of my character. I am a warrior character so that would probably be why it works good. Kind if strange that I got it so early. I remember finding Hevnoraak in Valthume and I was level 8 or so and I had no idea how strong he was lol. He one shotted me across the room multiple times before I figured out to use sprint to get to the door. Even with sprint he blasted me so many times. I didn't go back until much later when I actually understood the game. Skyrim is the first game that I played of its type other than maybe Diablo but even Diablo I lost interest in.
that Ahzidal mask, mate... wow! didn't know about that Ahzidal mask, that could defo benefit my destruction mage! Cheers for the heads up! 9000 gold is not even that much, if u compare how much Feralda charges for destruction training.
the shock mask is also useful, but i prefer the fire one.
