I bought a used Kastking Assassin and it was coming out of Florida and looked to be pretty well used but in good condition. My reel guy broke it down and aside from one slightly rusty bearing and the handle was a bit worn it was in basically new condition. I replaced the worn parts and it is one of my favorite reels. I also have a phantom and it has been impressive as well and has a smooth great casting feel to it.
Well done on these reviews. Had my doubts when you did the opening video about doing the review. But they seem to be able to stand the test. Definitely think someone looking for low priced reels need not look any further, nice job Mark!
Good job on the reviews. I have a Piscifun Phantom, and to be honest, it's the smoothest reel I've ever experienced. You are the first I've seen to compare the Piscifun and KastKing head to head real world fishing, and I really enjoyed it. It would be interesting to see a 6 month and one year follow up to see how they held up to the salt environment.

Great videos!! I have the Piscifun Perseus and the Kastking Spartacus they both have all 3 braking systems. Im having holly hell setting the centrifical and magnetic brakes using a lure like the buggs hothead. Could you please show a video how you set these. I either get a blacklash or
hardly no distance. I do know how to set the master tension control per lure. Thanks

I bought a KastKing Spartacus after seeing your videos. Heck,! for the price, it was worth a shot. Overall, I'm pretty impressed, especially for the money. Great work on your series. If you have a chance to visit north Texas in the near future, the stripers a are thick on Lake Texoma. And this spring the Hybrids and White bass are awesome on a number of lakes around DFW. In the H-Town area, check out the Rio Villa Nature Trail. There is a dock to kayak from and the trout are thick across the river along the islands. Tight lines!

i used mine for surf fishing ,only last one year. worm gear inside got worn out
It’s too hard to keep any reel operational when used for the surf. It’s why I don’t do it.

@@jokervbatman5023 That's because this company was created to ripoff their fans. The quality didn't improve and will not improve (these are pretty much basement made reels in China), but with marketing, they become more popular, allowing them to push the price more and more. How stupid someone must be to buy one of these shitty reels over a daiwa/shimano or even abu is pretty funny. But then again, this is exactly on whom they're feeding on... the clueless fisherman.
