    I've watched fishing videos every day for about three months straight, does that count? I am so envious of you and all those that have the opportunity to fish so often. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you and your videos. Be safe out there and keep up the good work.

    Mark I've fished in the coastline of Florida for years and experience gators many times. they don't usually bother us but the little ones always get a bit close but never do anything they are a bit curious tho. I'm here for good in Texas looking forward to fish this coast line getting my gear and looking forward getting my lines wet. Love the show u and Nick put out keep up the good work and make this show exciting with some epic catches and throw in more of your comedy verbal responses here and there to make the show much enjoyable, It works for me I enjoy it and keep looking for more. well got to go keep those lines tight and safe from this virus so we may continue to enjoy your shows for years to come,

    Mark = I am 74 years old. I have thousands of hours in salt, brackish, and fresh water Kayak fishing. I have never been bothered by a gator in all that time. I have passed some that were much longer than my Lam Pro 10 footer, but never experienced even a fish steal from my stringer. Press on, my friend - and Semper Fi

    Awesome video. I've hunted and fished the Galveston coast my entire life. Gators aren't a problem, they have no interest in us. Now, if you're dragging a stringer, you could loose it. I didn't recognize the area. Where were you fishing?

    Gators in Texas. Here in Marin County, California, there are coyotes. Nice fish you caught. I admire the 24" ones because that's the size striped bass, popular here in Marin, I caught a few days ago. Hoping when the lockdown is over I can start fishing again because halibuts are coming up this season too. Nice video.

    I wanna fish that creek so bad, but the gators got me chicken. Definitely not a place to be by yourself. I saw your other video where you were near there, but on the other end of it by a few miles in a more "open" area. Good fishing down that way too. Sorry, don't know how else to describe it without giving it away.

  • @mikestein379
    @mikestein379 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Gotta ask as I always wonder when fishermen go from holding the rod with the left hand then switch the hold to right hand to cast and then back to the left and reel with the right. Way less switching when you hold the rod in right hand, cast and have the reel handle on the left to reel and then fight the fish with the right or reel in and then cast with the right. Just wondering why a fisherman is always switching. Not poking fun in any way just wondering. Enjoy your posts and so glad you see the benefits of fishing Chocolate as that rumor has gone on for years about no fish in Chocolate.

    • @Blaze_terror
      @Blaze_terror 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have always reeled with my right hand and I will cast with either depending on what side of the boat I'm casting to. It's all side casts on a Kayak not much over hand casting on a kayak

    • @MDLRFishing
      @MDLRFishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the entire lake is amazing. There's a somewhat runoff/water fall are that holds nice bass waiting to ambush bait that flushes out. It's not really a waterfall I just don't have a better word to describe it 😂

    • @raxxyyakgear1286
      @raxxyyakgear1286 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MDLRFishing Ok, you like the water "fall" inlet. I usually fish up in Long Pond up the road, I am hoping I can get to the Stillwell launch so I don't have to cart all the way down.

    Nice video! One question, something that I never understood about alot of anglers, why cast with the right then swap hands to reel with the right when using a baitcaster? Seems like an unnecessary step when you could get a left handed reel, then you don't have to switch hands. I work spinning reels with my left so it makes sense to me 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @jldfishing6622
      @jldfishing6622 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do the same thing I'm right handed and use a left-handed reel except when I use big surf rods or bigger rods for larger fish

    • @MDLRFishing
      @MDLRFishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      just the way I learned how to fish. Nothing unnecessary about it if it's the way you fish. The beauty of fishing is there's no wrong way to do it unless you're not catching fish.

    Awesome video mark. I love the fishing content, it's very informative but I'm going to suggest the same thing i told Nick. This 2 for 1 videos you'll do together gots to go. Y'all need to start doing youll own thing. there's no point of watching your video if I watch Nick's or vice versa cuz y'all both go to the same place the only difference is the GoPro angle. it would be different if you went to one spot he went to another. Y'all both use the same kayaks , same lures, same custom rods . when you were using hoagies, he used hoagies now that you're using bugs now he's now he's using bugs. Tell him to find his OWN mojo . Maybe if you did your own thing you would have more viewers and more subscribers .For example the Freeport jetty video you did catching Jack's and Spanish mackerel. once again who was there right next to you . Same everything just different GoPro.

      @@MDLRFishingMark no disrespect but I'm just pointing out the obvious. I don't think that TH-cam suggest that you have someone in your videos that copies everything that you to make your channel better. it's kind of like two guys going to the same grocery store both buying the same items but putting them into different baskets. But I tell you one thing if he start using LEWS too, well that will be your sign... lol..
