I think an aspect that could be added to the slime pikmin that isn't as realistic as slowing down enemies would be the ability to mold 5-20 pikmin together to form gooigi-like replicas of certain enemies for more power
@@thatnintendoquality perhaps just a huge pikmin with health and attacks based plasm wraith? They do pin attacks to damage critters, but losing health makes the giant smaller (thus weaker) and forces some of the slime pikmin out?
Yknow the bandit pikmin design doesn't actually sound to bad although I think maybe the idea of the pikmin changing color to blend in with its area or just going nearly invisibile fits the naturey vibe more, Also shoutout to you for being the first person to mention the dirt mounds
These aren't half bad! The only things i would add to this are a nerf to the bandit pikmin and a buff to mite pikmin. As they are, bandit pikmin would be near invincible to a player that's even a little bit competent at the game, and would never die when sent off to fight something. Maybe instead of teleporting back to the player when theyre attacked, they teleport back when whistled at, even if the captain whistles at them from very far away. They also would not be able to teleport while knocked over or in the jaws of an enemy. Thematically, their mask would be some kind of leaf or vine, and the pikmin color would probably be black or brown since they evolved on the planet to be camouflaged and sneaky. Mite pikmin are more or less perfect, but i think it'd only make sense that they're able to walk up walls to reach an objective, since they have more than 2 legs. None of those limbs would be used to hold an object they'd carry, so they'd be able to carry objects over walls too. I also really like the idea of a flame pikmin, but can't imagine they'd be in the game after the second trailer. The scene with the climbable wall showed that it was created using a group of only red pikmin, which probably meant that the wall was raw clay which they "cooked" by generating heat. Creating fire may very well be one of their abilities now.
While watching this I thought about some stuff. First off what if after the gate is open by the mite pikmin there is another gate only accessible during the day so you couldn’t use them there. The second thing is what if the flame pikmin had smaller bodies but bigger flowers, so they couldn’t actually attack the enemies but they could set them on fire doing over time damage. The last thing is one of my own ideas for a new pikmin. The green pikmin(it could a grey pikmin since you did green in the video) could have closed eyes, but for a reason. For the new pikmin to help with obstacles a new obstacle would needed to be added fog. Fog could cover over codes or maybe thin paths over holes you could fall into. What green/grey pikmin could do is they would open their eyes & shine a bright light to illuminate the fog. They could also charge up their light to blind enemies stunning them in battle. Thanks for reading & if ThatNintendoQuality is reading please make more designs their really cool & I love hearing about them.
Thank you so much! I will be doing new ideas soon. I love your green/gray Pikmin idea. The closed eyes/bright light to clear fog is such a cool idea. I don’t hear fog talked about that much as a hazard, and it would be great to see that Pikmin in the game.
The bandit feels abit counter to the general feel of how the games make you relate to the pikmin which while useful would change the risk/reward structure abit to much I think. Mite, encounter-able location specific pikmin types are cool and I kinda wish we saw more of that. fire, neat but I feel like they will probably stick with throw heavy/hard pikmin to break ice and maybe environmental/captain tools to light fires. Goo, it might be neat if it was possible to stack enemy effects to larger ones, for example we saw the ice could upgrade to be fully iced if the enemy is already gooed. Something I don't see brought up much is that the pikmin seem to obey the captains instinctively which suggests that they have SOMETHING that normally fills that role in their ecosystem, so is there a 'leader pikmin' or is there another creature they have a symbiotic relationship with.
I mean…. Kinda close with the green? Glow pikmin are night and cave exclusive glob pikmin look similar to glow I would’ve preferred mite pikmin tbh glow pikmin are kinda mid with the design I love mite pikmin
There is glow pikmin that only appear at night expeditions and when you survive the night you collect glow sap that yonny needs to cure the leafings when your about to take off the glow pikmin become glow seeds where you can use at night and caves the only downside of it is when you take it out in the cave it won’t become glow seeds so you may have to use them wisely
I would make your first green pikmin black, and your first orange pikmin brown. would fit better. Pls no flame pikmin. Slime could be green, but also orange, because of explosion resistance and sticking bombs to walls and ceilings. Maybe greens have bouncy slime, and orange has sticky slime.
Your idea for the mite pikmin to be only usable at night is kinda like what the Glow Pikmin act like. But unlike the Mite Pikmin who have an onion the Glow Pikmin doesn't.
the making of ice Pikmin be like: now what if we made a Pikmin cold? ICE PIKMIN the making of Glow Pikmin be like: now what if, and hear me out, What if we just KILLED THE PIKMIN. GLOW PIKMIN!
My Pikmin idea is blade pikmin. Pikmin with silver skin and small sharp bladed arms that can cut through objects like leaves. This Pikmin has a higher attack multiplier then yellow and blues but still not as high as reds or purples BUT also have a higher attack speed then any other Pikmin and have the worst defense of any Pikmin being killed by just air attacks alone
Orange PIKMIN will be the first PIKMIN to be immune to mud, you’ll be able to explore hidden caves in mud and new quick sand hazards which oranges can go over, but for these 2 things, it will have normal damage, like the yellows and blues, the second PIKMIN will also be a green PIKMIN, ( ik we kinda have them in PIKMIN 2 but we don’t see the actual PIKMIN) the infector PIKMIN can infect: smaller dwarfs, raw materials and he bridge material, they will have the weakest attack damage, but will have a 5% chance to do a special attack which will make the attacked creature be controlled for 6 seconds, they will be immune to water but dies quicker to fire and electricity is normal.
I also did a video where the speaker reveals his/her Pikmin ideas. The video is called "Pikmin Hybrids". (My video also currently has a special offer in the description.)
I can really see the red pikmin being upgraded to fire pikmin withe the ability to set enemies on fire, yellow pikimin to the lightning pikmin with the ability to electrocute enemies, and blue pikmin to water pikmin with the ability to put out flames.
What if the bandit pikmin have a super strong initial strike on an enemy but are as weak as a wing Pikmin afterwards? I really like the concept of a “stealth” pikmin, slowly, taking down enemy after enemy, using cover to stay out of sight (cover finally has a purpose 🤯🤯) so yeah. I really like the concept of a stealth Pikmin.
I would imagine a bigger draw for Mite Pikmin might be the ability to carry small objects up and down scalable walls with their mandibles, as other Pikmin types would need to use their arms to climb. A downside could be that they are unable to break down walls because they lack the ability to whack them like other Pikmin, or that their pushing speed is lower than their pulling speed, or that they are simply unable to interact with objects too big for them to bite. As for Bandit Pikmin? Play to the sunglasses-type mask that they have by making them intimidating. Instead of being essentially ninja Pikmin, Bandit Pikmin are bouncers, using their intimidating and reflective eyes to scare away predators at night by reflecting their red eye color. Naturally, larger enemies would be harder to intimidate and require larger groups of Bandit Pikmin to deal with, and enemies with no eyes would be outright immune to their intimidation, but they could be used to block off hordes of enemies that Pikmin ordinarily wouldn't be able to deal with or corral them into more advantageous locations. The downside would be that Bandit Pikmin actually suck at fighting, and their eyes are too sensitive to light to function in the overworld during the day, so they will simply refuse to come out during daylight hours, while the Mite Pikmin may simply prefer dark environments but can still function during the day when pressed into service.
Really great additions to these Pikmin. I agree with everything. I especially love the Mite Pikmin ‘carry while climbing’ idea. Especially with the climbable walls we know will be in the game. They could be used to carry a treasure that’s stuck between a climbable wall and the landing site.
@@thatnintendoquality It helps to think of it from an ecological and evolutionary standpoint. These aren't gadgets being whipped up in a lab or in a workshop after all; they're living creatures adapted to a specific environment and ecological niche. Why would Mite Pikmin need to carry large objects when they live underground in confined spaces? Why would they need an extra set of legs or mandibles? Why would Bandit Pikmin need those large 'eye spot' sunglasses that offer no obvious survival advantage for a nocturnal creature? What would be the best way for a subspecies of nocturnal Pikmin to survive being on terra firma when it's made readily apparent that climbing up a tree or hiding would be a significantly less erroneous leap of logic than evolving a living colony ship capable of flying into the upper atmosphere, yet such an absurdity seems to be the only thing keeping the Pikmin population afloat at all prior to Olimar's arrival in Pikmin 1?
