you need to be ar 45 but you don't have to ascend the world level to guarantee a 5 star artifact, i'm still at ar 45 and have been farming the domains in co-op

Running Raiden on attack goblet with er sands or electro damage goblet with er sands isn't that much. In fact running her with erlectro damage goblet with atleast 240% er and 1.9k attack should outdps ur 300% er Raiden unless she is run by engulfing lightning.
Without ascension thought it seems that it doesn't work without coop, at least for me. I managed to do a couple of them on tons of food and tries but just one gold for my condensed resign
Honestly this is the best artifact guide I have seen so far and I have seen quite many. Easy to understand and literally no rush made in any topic. 20/10 video for me personally.
A quick tip: Some artifacts will be more universally useful (can be used on more characters), or they are insanely broken, so it is a good idea to prioritise them. A few good artifacts to go for include: Emblem: Good for Raiden, Xinqiu, Xiangling, or any character that mainly does damage/support through burst Viridescent: Any anemo supports such as Kazuha, Venti, Sucrose, etc. Noblesse oblige: A good, universal set that works with pretty much any support, so you can avoid having to grind new domains. Works for characters like Bennett, mona, Faruzan, etc. 2 piece Gladiator or Wanderers: Easy to get, good general artifacts for characters that need EM or attack. Gilded dreams/deepwood: one of the best domains to farm atm. Both sets are extremely good for characters such as Nahida, Collei, dendro traveler, alhaitham, cyno, hyperbloom/bloom/burgeon characters, etc.
Imagine if someone made website to help people track if the artifacts are worth saving according to your current artifacts equipped in all of your owned characters I'd probably pay them money to use it

1:17 You don't have to go to World 6 to do the highest value artifact domain, just AR 45. This is because domains ignore world level or any other aspects of the world such as time when you can keep farming mats from the same day inside them, and even though the day changes the domain will remain the same. As long as you are AR 45 you can still access the highest level artifact and talent domains.
22:30 It's also worth remembering that artifact sets will always use 4 of your 5 slots (straight 4, or 2+2), so an artifact with good rolls but doesn't synergize with that set could be someone's extra. Notable exception is the Prayers line that gives it's bonus with a single piece, but they don't come in 5-star so if you're artifact grinding that's not likely to be relevant for long.
Hard disagree on your advice of avoiding strongbox. It is absolutely essential, especially when trying to gear up supports with 4pc from resin-inefficient domains (Noblesse, Viridescent). a) Most artifacts you get from farming are garbage. You will naturally end up with a LOT of garbage. You could value your garbage 5-stars primarily as xp, however... b) Artifact xp is only useful if you actually have good pieces to level up. Strongbox = more chances to get to good pieces (converting xp into resin). The xp you can always get elsewhere... c) Farming artifact domains will already give you lots of 3/4 stars for xp fodder. Furthermore, you can also farm artifact investigation spots daily, approx. enough to go from level 1-->12.
People spreading misconceptions about the strongbox… imagine having to farm a shitty domain like the noblesse. People are crazy and bandwagon popular streamers opinions

This is really useful for a noob like me who just started playing and get overwhelmed with all of the mechanics of the game, as in theres a lot. I think you just missed how to unlock those artifact bonus set. Maybe some people like me who thought that it will unlock only for some character , and I didnt know that the "artifact set name" was written above the artifact bonus stat section. All I know was the artifact name was written on above lolol
Detailed yet fun as always :) I've been farming emblem for my yelan and got cursed with def where an artifact would get def and upgrade it twice or more. It happened like 70% of the time which made me entirely quit farming for substats :,) Also, I hope you consider making another "how to build every character" video. Your existing one has been REALLY helpful but it's lacking some characters like, again, yelan.
Regarding goblets, keep every good elemental goblet you find. The reason for this is that due to the sheer variety of main stats, especially all seven elements in the mix, trying to get the exact element you want, with good substats, in a specific artifact set, is asking for pain. If you find a great Pyro goblet but it's on Heart of Depth? Keep it. Every other piece has a narrower range of main stat options compared to goblets and you want to hold on to every good elemental goblet you find.
Comprehensive, concise and organized. This guide is top tier and will aid me in my future endeavors. A lot of the fundamentals of rolling gear as an Epic Seven veteran carries over, combined with the information in this video I feel very confident in farming and leveling artifacts to strengthen my account going forward. It actually take a lot of time and luck for u to even have useable artifacts, let alone good one lol. So take ur time with it. As an ar60, I definitely spent a lot time struggle with it cause my artifact luck suck lol.

You don’t actually have to complete the ascension quest to WL 6 to guarantee a gold artifact every domain run. Just being at ar45 is all you need. I’m at this point and haven’t ascended to WL6 but I am getting a gold every time
@@ipheclekennedy fym its completely true. the lv90 domain is all you need, which automatically unlocks at ar45. the world level is not relevant because a domain is not out in the world, its inside the domain.

I haven’t been farming artifacts for long, but I’ve already had 3 artifacts that started with crit rate and crit damage, and didn’t roll crit even once I leveled them to 20. I’m gonna take your advice and stop at 12 from now on
Awesome guide! I love watching artifact guides and learning about them, but I never compare my artifacts with the ones of other players, yeah, maybe my certain crit dmg circlet rolled def 2 times in a row, but I just see it as the best crit dmg circlet that I personally own and since I tried to think about it like that, I got less stressed about the whole thing. Also, I don't shy away from using very good purple artifacts even though I'm almost AR 55, cause heck, It could take me ages to get something similar and it would be a shame to throw it away... As a rule of thumb I almost never consume the 4 & 5 star artifacts, specially if they come with 3+ substats. Consider what element your character is also since some elements tend to rotate towards a certain stats e.g: Cryo characters mostly use crit-based stats, Hydro characters usually scale with HP stats, and Geo usually with defense stats. Obviously depends on the character but when you configure a party with 2 characters with the same elemental type say 2 cryo you can see this trend.
Great video well explained and As a Noelle main I tell you the husk set is a pain to farm I have been farming for the past two months only to just get two good pieces , I had to build her on two piece husk two piece archaic petra.
World lvl 6 also brings max ley lines payout it’s definitely worth going to that but 7/8 not so much no need to rush to those two lvl’s set yourself some goals like having most of your characters to 70 with 80 unlocked and their talents past 6 preferably and already decent artifacts before ascending to world lvl 7 then set another goal for lvl 8 something like having multiple kinds of teams for every element with maxed artifacts for all of them before ascending
im introducing a friend to genshin and when i joined i went on an absolute manic binge to teach myself how to play the game to the point where i became the expert on how to build characters within my friend group even though i was the newest to the game but when i try to explain it to my newbie friend im afraid that i ramble too much and my disorganised explanations probably don’t make sense so ive been on the hunt for really good videos to send them to help make sense of everything and this video is wayyy better than i could’ve explained myself! (honestly when i start talking about artifacts im pretty sure i sound crazy, she’s only ar 32 so im still trying to explain ascension materials and talent books which is already overwhelming)

thank you for this vid. im a returning old player, still in Inazuma/Liyue/Mondstat. i have alot of story to complete. Its sad the game does not give you a good detail about artifacts. I also cant do event due to not completing the 3 major regions. Its sad when you cant join events for exp books and primos. I hope they fix this or new players will never be able to enjoy the extra events, and returning players are never ganna catch up. Genshin needs to be more casual friendly and new player friendly. It only takes 3 or 4 weeks to complete the archon quests in Monstadt, Liyue and to unlock the access to Inazuma. This leads to AR 32 and all the events are available. Completing all the regions is not necessary at all to unlock the events.

Thanks shark for this wonderful video. I happy that I'm at this stage where ik all this info but this is definitely a video that can be looked back to every now and then as a refresher. And finally another youtuber that doesn't just look at crits 🥲 I absolutely loved the noelle example. Some additional points: 1) The daily artifact resin free farming route is great for mora source. 1 star artifacts doesn't give a lot of artifact exp so it's an easy mora when you're late game 2) When you're ar 45 and farming for 5 star artifacts, you will use a lot of resources to level them up. So make sure to have enough mora (min 10mil) and artifact exp. I would reco actually farming for artifacts at ar 40 at the highest level (not regularly tho, just if you're free and have resin) so that you have enough 4 stars artifacts for fodders when you run out of 1-3 stars fodders. 2.5) What shark mentioned of using badly rolled 5 stars for fodders also work, but sometimes even badly rolled ones can be more beneficial such as if the main stat is an elemental dmg goblet, EM, ER or crits circlet. But it always depends on what would be better overall on your character so always use the 'compare' option on the artifact screen to see what stats you'll be switching 3. The 5th phase also consist of min maxing your characters cos sometimes that's what you need to do to clear abyss 🥲 Chances are... You might not even get the desired stats you want on your characters with months of farming. It's a lengthy process indeed Lastly... YOU NAMED WANDERER AS DISAPPOINTMENT 😭😂 I NAMED HIM AS REDEMPTION LOL And... That was the first time I noticed raiden's profile have electricity sparks occasionally
Another tip- level up your teapot trust rank!! Once you hit level 8, you can use your Realm Currency to buy 5x Sanctifying Essence (gives 10,000 artifact exp) and 20x Sanctifying Unction (gives 2,500 artifact exp) per week. Hoarding those will help you out later!

This was suuuuper helpful, while I was grinding for artifacts after AR 45 and I didn't know what stats were good for artifacts in general so what I should keep and which I should reuse to roll for better artifacts so this was a big help.

I’ve watched 3-4 videos on artifacts before this and I still felt very confused because they were either talking really fast or didn’t mention a lot of useful information due to wanting to make the video less than 10 minutes 😭 as a new player it just wasn’t helpful
At 3:07 "small" correction, there is not +100% free critic damage dropping from the sky, the +100% is added bc they use in their formula float multiplication. In short for example if you have 2500 damage (non crit) and if you have 50% crit damage, if you use a float multiplication you get that: 2500 * 0.5 = 1250, so in order to avoid having negative ratio they add 100% by default which give 2500 * 1.5 = 3750, which is now correct. The 3750 can be seen as 2500 + 50% of 2500 which is 1250. so 2500 + 1250 = 3750, you have your base damage of 2500 + the bonus 50% crit damage (1250) = 3750. Now this work for any % of crit damage. By doing this they DIRECTLY get the damage of the critic + you base damage without having negative crit damage. The + "100" % crit damage is not FOR US to add but for us to not have to think about what is our real crit damage + having easier calculation. IN SHORT -> THE CRIT DMG % THEY SHOW YOU IN GAME IS THE REAL ONE. (there is no imaginary added 100% bonus free critic damage, when you have 50% critic damage you have 50% critic damage and not 150%) Also I tested in game and got precise result which confirm to me that it's the way they coded the formula. when I do a hit non critic I get 2812 dmg, when I do a critic I get 8883, I have 215.9 crit damage, when you do 2812 * 3.159 = 8883. I'm not trying to say you're wrong, bc actually your result is correct 2500 * 2.5 = 6250. (150% crit damage), but I felt many ppl would be confused of how you explained it, many ppl might think you get a free 100% crit damage, plus using float multiplication explain better why they did it that way. they use damage * (1.0 + your critc damage / 100)

I agree with everything. Really good Artifact guide! But you should use the Strongbox! You're turning nothing into something and that's really good. How good the Artifacts are is the random and the same as in the Domains. If you really need Artifact exp there are other way's to get those like from the teapot or, if you have the time, you can search for an artifact farming route and do it every day. But don't level the thrash 5 star artifacts into good artifacts! Use them for the strongbox!
Great guide bro. Only kicker is feeding five stars to other five stars for EXP ignores the resin "saved" by targeting one half of an arti domain. Imo ofc. Keep up the awesome work

I was really confused to get a Blizzard Strayer goblet whose main stat is Geo dmg %... so I took this class to help decide what to do. After learning the stats are randomly allocated, I'm less confused about said stat and will keep til get a better one. Yes I took notes lol

Im confused, why does this guy have so less subscribers? I have been playing the game for 6 months now and I kid you not i have never understood the concept of artifacts . I'm not joking when I tell u this, i have pulled for many characters (f2p btw) but never understood artifacts I would just pull characters watch videos on which artifacts suit them and give then the artifacts but my attack power never increased. I tried to watch some other videos of TH-camrs explaining about artifacts but I never understood what they said and today fortunately I stumbled upon this video and now I'm sure that I understand more than I ever understood. Thanks Man, again a valuable guide. I wish it would have come earlier, i would have saved alot of resources. One thing to add, i always lvl up my goblet 1st and Circlet last, coz goblet are rare to find and this way i can understand if i have to use cirt rate or DMG circlet.
I had a sourcing system like this, if there only one quality has percentage, it should reach at least 7%. If the artifact has 2/3 quality are %, they should add up to 10% then it is worth investing in it. If the artifact already has 4 qualities as a starter, the percentage should be added up to 12%. For the leveling at lv4 15%, lv6/8 18% so forth at lv12 would be 20%, if the max lv20 artifact doesn't add up to 30%, it is an ok piece, can replace them to invest in aother promising piece, This can be somewhat forgiving so it depends on what the character needed.😙
u DO run atk sands on raiden with every er weapon that is not engulfing, and ideally electro dmg goblet. and she needs around 200-220 er with the catch, ur build is suboptimal

@@ipheclekennedy fym its completely true. the lv90 domain is all you need, which automatically unlocks at ar45. the world level is not relevant because a domain is not out in the world, its inside the domain.

I haven’t been farming artifacts for long, but I’ve already had 3 artifacts that started with crit rate and crit damage, and didn’t roll crit even once I leveled them to 20. I’m gonna take your advice and stop at 12 from now on

Awesome guide! I love watching artifact guides and learning about them, but I never compare my artifacts with the ones of other players, yeah, maybe my certain crit dmg circlet rolled def 2 times in a row, but I just see it as the best crit dmg circlet that I personally own and since I tried to think about it like that, I got less stressed about the whole thing. Also, I don't shy away from using very good purple artifacts even though I'm almost AR 55, cause heck, It could take me ages to get something similar and it would be a shame to throw it away... As a rule of thumb I almost never consume the 4 & 5 star artifacts, specially if they come with 3+ substats. Consider what element your character is also since some elements tend to rotate towards a certain stats e.g: Cryo characters mostly use crit-based stats, Hydro characters usually scale with HP stats, and Geo usually with defense stats. Obviously depends on the character but when you configure a party with 2 characters with the same elemental type say 2 cryo you can see this trend.

As a Noelle main I tell you the husk set is a pain to farm I have been farming for the past two months only to just get two good pieces , I had to build her on two piece husk two piece archaic petra.

World lvl 6 also brings max ley lines payout it’s definitely worth going to that but 7/8 not so much no need to rush to those two lvl’s set yourself some goals like having most of your characters to 70 with 80 unlocked and their talents past 6 preferably and already decent artifacts before ascending to world lvl 7 then set another goal for lvl 8 something like having multiple kinds of teams for every element with maxed artifacts for all of them before ascending
im introducing a friend to genshin and when i joined i went on an absolute manic binge to teach myself how to play the game to the point where i became the expert on how to build characters within my friend group even though i was the newest to the game
but when i try to explain it to my newbie friend im afraid that i ramble too much and my disorganised explanations probably don’t make sense so ive been on the hunt for really good videos to send them to help make sense of everything and this video is wayyy better than i could’ve explained myself!

This is probably the best one i’ve watched and is the most helpful (as someone who always just put the most atk on every character) 😭 I like that it put in to detail and simplified it a bit for newbies. (Even if I will never understand LOL)

small correction 1:30 you don’t need to be world level 6 to unlock the Max lvl domain. Just AR 45 you can be world level 5
thank you for this vid. im a returning old player, still in Inazuma/Liyue/Mondstat. i have alot of story to complete. Its sad the game does not give you a good detail about artifacts. I also cant do event due to not completing the 3 major regions. Its sad when you cant join events for exp books and primos. I hope they fix this or new players will never be able to enjoy the extra events, and returning players are never ganna catch up. Genshin needs to be more casual friendly and new player friendly. Thank you :)
It only takes 3 or 4 weeks to complete the archon quests in Monstadt, Liyue and to unlock the access to Inazuma. This leads to AR 32 and all the events are available.
Completing all the regions is not necessary at all to unlock the events.

Thanks shark for this wonderful video. I happy that I'm at this stage where ik all this info but this is definitely a video that can be looked back to every now and then as a refresher. And finally another youtuber that doesn't just look at crits 🥲 I absolutely loved the noelle example.
Some additional points:
1) The daily artifact resin free farming route is great for mora source. 1 star artifacts doesn't give a lot of artifact exp so it's an easy mora when you're late game
2) When you're ar 45 and farming for 5 star artifacts, you will use a lot of resources to level them up. So make sure to have enough mora (min 10mil) and artifact exp. I would reco actually farming for artifacts at ar 40 at the highest level (not regularly tho, just if you're free and have resin) so that you have enough 4 stars artifacts for fodders when you run out of 1-3 stars fodders.
2.5) What shark mentioned of using badly rolled 5 stars for fodders also work, but sometimes even badly rolled ones can be more beneficial such as if the main stat is an elemental dmg goblet, EM, ER or crits circlet. But it always depends on what would be better overall on your character so always use the 'compare' option on the artifact screen to see what stats you'll be switching
3. The 5th phase also consist of min maxing your characters cos sometimes that's what you need to do to clear abyss 🥲 Chances are... You might not even get the desired stats you want on your characters with months of farming. It's a lengthy process indeed
Lastly... YOU NAMED WANDERER AS DISAPPOINTMENT 😭😂 I NAMED HIM AS REDEMPTION LOL
And... That was the first time I noticed raiden's profile have electricity sparks occasionally
Another tip- level up your teapot trust rank!! Once you hit level 8, you can use your Realm Currency to buy 5x Sanctifying Essence (gives 10,000 artifact exp) and 20x Sanctifying Unction (gives 2,500 artifact exp) per week. Hoarding those will help you out later!

This was suuuuper helpful, while I was grinding for artifacts after AR 45 and I didn't know what stats were good for artifacts in general so what I should keep and which I should reuse to roll for better artifacts so this was a big help.

I’ve watched 3-4 videos on artifacts before this and I still felt very confused because they were either talking really fast or didn’t mention a lot of useful information due to wanting to make the video less than 10 minutes 😭 as a new player it just wasn’t helpful
At 3:07 "small" correction, there is not +100% free critic damage dropping from the sky, the +100% is added bc they use in their formula float multiplication. In short for example if you have 2500 damage (non crit) and if you have 50% crit damage, if you use a float multiplication you get that:
2500 * 0.5 = 1250, so in order to avoid having negative ratio they add 100% by default which give 2500 * 1.5 = 3750, which is now correct.
The 3750 can be seen as 2500 + 50% of 2500 which is 1250. so 2500 + 1250 = 3750, you have your base damage of 2500 + the bonus 50% crit damage (1250) = 3750. Now this work for any % of crit damage. By doing this they DIRECTLY get the damage of the critic + you base damage without having negative crit damage.
The + "100" % crit damage is not FOR US to add but for us to not have to think about what is our real crit damage + having easier calculation. IN SHORT -> THE CRIT DMG % THEY SHOW YOU IN GAME IS THE REAL ONE.
(there is no imaginary added 100% bonus free critic damage, when you have 50% critic damage you have 50% critic damage and not 150%)
Also I tested in game and got precise result which confirm to me that it's the way they coded the formula. when I do a hit non critic I get 2812 dmg, when I do a critic I get 8883, I have 215.9 crit damage, when you do 2812 * 3.159 = 8883.
I'm not trying to say you're wrong, bc actually your result is correct 2500 * 2.5 = 6250. (150% crit damage), but I felt many ppl would be confused of how you explained it, many ppl might think you get a free 100% crit damage, plus using float multiplication explain better why they did it that way. they use damage * (1.0 + your critc damage / 100)

I agree with everything. Really good Artifact guide! But you should use the Strongbox! You're turning nothing into something and that's really good. How good the Artifacts are is the random and the same as in the Domains. If you really need Artifact exp there are other way's to get those like from the teapot or, if you have the time, you can search for an artifact farming route and do it every day. But don't level the thrash 5 star artifacts into good artifacts! Use them for the strongbox!
That's just a faster way of Burning yourself out....
because you will start doing it like it's a chore on your "To do list"

Im confused, why does this guy have so less subscribers? I have been playing the game for 6 months now and I kid you not i have never understood the concept of artifacts . I'm not joking when I tell u this, i have pulled for many characters (f2p btw) but never understood artifacts I would just pull characters watch videos on which artifacts suit them and give then the artifacts but my attack power never increased. I tried to watch some other videos of TH-camrs explaining about artifacts but I never understood what they said and today fortunately I stumbled upon this video and now I'm sure that I understand more than I ever understood. You have a 50% chance to get 5 star artifact form domains at AR 40 or so.
@@sharkh3art not sure if this is what op meant to say but you don't need to unlock world level 6. You can run level 90 domains when you hit AR 45 regardless of anything else.

I had a sourcing system like this, if there only one quality has percentage, it should reach at least 7%. If the artifact has 2/3 quality are %, they should add up to 10% then it is worth investing in it.
If the artifact already has 4 qualities as a starter, the percentage should be added up to 12%.
For the leveling at lv4 15%, lv6/8 18% so forth at lv12 would be 20%, if the max lv20 artifact doesn't add up to 30%, it is an ok piece, can replace them to invest in aother promising piece,
This can be somewhat forgiving so it depends on what the character needed.😙

u DO run atk sands on raiden with every er weapon that is not engulfing, and ideally electro dmg goblet. and she needs around 200-220 er with the catch, ur build is suboptimal
