Some incredible progress made in the last couple of years Tim. Fantastic modelling.
If my attempt at scenery comes somewhere even close to yours then I will know I've done a super job.

Cheers Gary. Its only when you look back before anything scenic went down that you see how far its come.
Those end pictures are going to be the best for running session shots.

Very impressive and well done. I don't suppose you've got a track plan you could share with us please?

Thank you. I have done a layout tour a little while ago though a couple of areas in that video have fully changed.
I get a lot of requests for a full tour and I'll hopefully be putting a video together for around March time which will be a full tour, how the layout runs and also an exclusive around the laira side of the layout.

    Some serious progress on view.👍👌😁
Just to prove I'm paying attention; I take it 1:37 is the real thing, and the only shot of the real thing that's included?😁

@@thescrapline4905 OK, you got me.👍👌😁 I've seen many, many photos of models/layouts etc that look very, very realistic. I've had to like twice at some of them but, to my knowledge, I've never been actually caught out before.😂
The coach interior is what did it; the shadows, and what's visible 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 the coach seemed just too real to be a model. The more I look, I can see it now; maybe the shed roof is just slightly too neat.😁
While my mistake is a great compliment to various aspects of your modelling skills, and the manufacturers involved, much of the realistic effect is down to your photography and lighting. That's the 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 hard bit in trying to make a model look real.
Great work all round and I won't get caught again.🤣
      Cheers for now,
      Dougie.

The shed would be the givaway, despite it being the first scratch build its the only one not finished, weathering and window beads to add.
That actual image is my favourite out the lot.

@@thescrapline4905 I would have to agree. It's really not a "glamour shot" but, for authenticity, it's hard to beat. In photos like that, it's the really small details that fool the eye. The holes in the fenceposts would be one example. They would be a waste of effort though, if the posts were all at the same angle. The jaunty angles of some of them are just enough; same with the fence-wires. You see beautiful layouts, with yards and yards of perfect, symmetrical fencing - takes hours to do and looks 𝑠𝑜 𝑤𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔.
I suppose one of the beauties of this hobby is the variety. Everyone is looking for something different, trying to create different impressions. I always think, regardless of the situation, the hardest effect to create is 𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒎. Perfection can be very hard to achieve; 𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑜𝑚 can be impossible.
It seems we have some quite similar ideas; at least you've got something built. My tiny, Scottish, N-scale layout has been on the drawing board for nearly thirty years; haven't got even a baseboard yet.🤔
      Cheers for now,
      Dougie.
