Top tip for that Lauterbrunnen campsite - You can park in the visitor car park outside for free if you've stayed on the campsite the night before Just ask reception for a visitor pass) .. Gives you another day to enjoy the stunning surroundings 🚐💨🇨🇭❤
+ If you do stay there I'd recommend the tram ride to 'The Top of Europe' - Jungfrau is well worth the £200ish that it is 👌🏻 + I also camped in an un-insulated tent back in September 2018 there, it's cold - I do not recommend that 😂
Mate your channel is on another level now, if anyone needs to learn how to grow a youtube channel they need to follow you. Congrats man hope you hit the 100.000 very soon 🇬🇧
The unexpected and delightful bonus of cancelling my tv licence and saying goodbye to the hypocrisy is discovering the delights of channels like yours. Fanx!
It's our favourite country as well! We are heading there again in September! The rows of ''trees'' you pointed out at the top of the hill are actually wooden fences at an angle, so when it snows in the winter the snow/ice attaches to the fences and stops avalanches.
Loving the channe. I lived in Germany as a kid and your video jetisoned me back to long gone memories of travels once had. Excellent work. Thank you. 🙏
as a resident here, I love to see you visit and enjoy Switzerland! If you need any guidance or something alike in and around Zurich/Aargau feel free to hmu
Great video and I enjoyed it. One thing though if I may be so bold. I once parked in Germany next to a fast flowing river during a heavy down pour. In the morning the river had burst its banks and and I woke up to water a foot deep around the tyres, I panicked big time. I only just managed to get out with a tow from the site manager as my wheels were well mudded in to the grass. Since that time I always watch where I am parking if I am near a river. I have seen many videos where you see Motor homes floating down rivers during floods that were not expected. Thanks again.
What I always remember about Switzerland is how disgustingly content and healthy the people in those mountain villages looked! Oh, and how expensive the country is!
"Disgustingly content and healthy". Interesting thing to be bothered by. You must be a very miserable, angry, and spiteful person. So sad. I hope you are able to find some contentment some day.
Nice to see you on your new adventure, have a great time. If you are looking for inspiration for your next adventure, try Iceland, my favourite country.
I went to Switzerland when I was 11 on a school trip. We went to some blue lakes, a glacier, and Piz Gloria, the revolving restaurant from the bond film. It's a lovely country with loads to see and brilliant walks.
I said the same when I drove the whole of Switzerland in 2018 haha, I also camped in Lauterbrunnen and it's incredible. I drove it again at the beginning of 2024 while touring Europe for 3 months in my Defender - Out of the 12 Boarders I crossed in that time, Lake Como, Austria and Switzerland were the most beautiful✨
If you get a cable car from Lauterbrunnen you can visit a revolving James Bond restaurant called "Piz Gloria" - It's on top of a mountain called the Schilthorn. Would make an ace video. It was on the film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"
@@Adz Yes - I'd be exactly the same BUT PLEASE visit it, check out the various TH-cam footage. There is a 24 hour webcam up there I think. Also "Cercle" did a live concert up there, drone footage is amazing. It's a fair journey up there via 2x cable cars. There a town midway called Murren which is also great - traffic free so no Pidgeons allowed ;(
@adz if you were excited about pitch 007, you should have walked further up the valley, could have got a cable car to 3826 Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland aka Blowfelds mountain hideout, OHMSS.
8:45 up the mountain, Avalanche barriers, job for the Heli drivers to take up there and drop off to ground crew to fit👍 lots of great places to visit in CH.
You are brilliant thank you. You make me laugh so hard. I'm glad you are doing some content on motorhoming being an avid motorhomer/caravanner myself funny to see the little things we encounter at campsites and the same questions pop into my head came to yours.also a tip turn off toll roads on your GPS it will take you to fantastic little villages and roads and some little adventures.Fantastic mate.keep up the good work.
M8 how beautiful is Switzerland 😊, I’ve been there once & it’s so picturesque. I can’t believe a super expensive camper you’re in hasn’t got air conditioning 😮
Great update mate. Only been to Switzerland once but must have been in the wrong part as didn't see the scenes you saw. Drive carefully buddy! Looking forward to the next one.
Campsites don't get any better than that first one, surely. Wow, that was so beautiful 😍 Your drone shots are always breathtakingly good. Only you could go away and find a Pigeon themed Restaurant Adz 😅 Loving the more frequent uploads. Great video as always 😁
Im kinda new here, but your the first van camper youtuber i have watched, i dont have the money or means to do this my self so watching your vids gives me a way to do it even if im not actualy there' love your vids.
Surprised you haven’t tried a cheese fondue 🫕 there! That corn thing was pigeon food 😅 nice well deserved beer 🍺 must say Switzerland 🇨🇭 rocks mr bond adz
Hi Sweet, look at me catching you 39 minutes after posting. I'm getting good right??? So when are you coming to the US and why are you in a motorhome??? I didn't catch the why if you threw it in the last video. Hugs!
Hi adz. New sub to your channel. I’ve watched a few of your videos since you were at the shed with Mel. like your style. What is your fascination with pigeons? Are you a fancier back home?
@@Adz I don't know the depth but the flow rate at the Mellingen gauge upstream from Lucerne at time of posting is 164 cubic metres a second. By contrast the Thames at Kingston was only flowing 20.5 cubic metres per second. So 8 times the flow rate of the Thames at Kingston, even at the speed it was rushing past, is gonna be pretty deep. Alpine rivers just blow your mind with how much water is in them.
@misterthegeoff9767 that’s mad. But yeah when I was looking at the drone shots of how much water is coming down from all the waterfalls it’s not as surprising I suppose!
I used to work at that Lauterbrunnen campsite 20 years ago…. I say “work”, spent most of the time looking at the stunning scenery 😄 love it 🇨🇭
That must've been incredible!! 😯

Beautiful video again Adam, Thankyou for making it for us and reaffirming to me every week why I do t need a tv license!
Well thank you for watching! It’s much appreciated :)
We’ve been going to Camping Jungfrau for years and never tire of it.
we like Camping Jungfrau too. Fabulouse scenery and friendly staff.

Welcome to my hometown Lucerne. Btw, the bridge (Kapellbrücke) burnt completely down in August 1993.
It's incredible there, definitely heading back soon 🤗

I went to all those places at the same age on a school trip too.... Not with Clare Park Secondary , by any chance? 😁
@andyk101 No, it was the Plume school this 30 odd years ago.

Austria is definitely somewhere I need to visit soon! It’s another one that’s been on my list for a while
"Can I have a pint of beer and make sure 4 inches of it is foam"! Last time I saw a head like that, Herman Munster was attached to it!
Seems to be like that in a fair few places in Europe actually! Not ideal haha
Stunning place I’ve drove through that part of the world and every corner you drive around well just amazing

I’m pretty sure there’s other very similar places too. But lauterbrunnen has been on my list for years now! Thanks mate, will do!
I think the alps is my second favourite part of Europe, Norway just pips it for me but both places are gorgeous

Camping Wang in Beatenberg has the best views
It's pronounced Lauterbrunnen, happy to help!
