Hummel was one of the composers who marked the classical- romantic period. His concerts are true masterpieces that musically transport us to others worlds. The elegance, grace and subtlety are amazing. This is one of the best interpretations I’ve heard of this concert so far.
The pianist is fabulous not only for the sensibility she imprints on the theme but also for the cadence and technique she employs.
Thanks for this magnificent recording that gives us moments of unequaled and profound pleasure. The orchestra and direction are superb.

This a minor concerto is indeed a marvel. It made me curious for the others and I find that H never equalled this one. The others are nice and elegant but more in the league of Ries, Hertz, Kalkbrenner and many others. The a minor stands totally apart.

This slightly reminds me of Mozart belonging in the 19th century alongside with Beethoven lol, yet the music sounds confused. As in to say what is this Classical composer doing in this era? 😂
