To be honest with you. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’m talking fent here which I didn’t even know was fent. I’ve been shooting dope for a decade and when I went to detox in July I tested positive for all fent. Same as my husband. We were getting sick from the fent. We were done. It wasn’t even good euphoria it made you pass out and want more when you wake up. If you do. I was done. Cuts weren’t healing. I stopped being able to hit. I knew what would happen if We continued 4 months clean on the 3rd. The withdrawals didn’t even start hard until the second week and I walked through hell for 2 months. You need to get it in your head how sick you’re sick of being sick. I started using shrooms around a month in and it gave me hope. I micro dose now. And I pray for this man. We knew twins with a very similar back story as this man who are both dead because of fentanyl.

My daughter has been hooked on fentanyl for the last few years now, she was a great mother of my two grandchildren,a hard worker and a very loving and pleasant individual, we have not heard from her for quite some time now. This drug is a epidemic and destroys good people. So sad for those who get addicted.

Me too I'm 6 years sober off alcohol and seven years clean off drugs I'm from Iowa originally so that's where I did most of my active addiction and heroin wasn't a big thing but I ended up getting hooked on alcohol and meth you couldn't find heroin but then in 2015 I moved out here to Memphis Tennessee area I did heroin twice and I didn't like it and then I got clean after I met my ex we were together 6 years she left me 8 days before Christmas of 2024 for another man I rescued her from a very bad abuser but it is what it is I still didn't relapse and I held my chin up high Glad you could make it out as well

He was younger so hung out with younger kids but we always went to the same parties and i said to myself, this kid is going somewhere! He was driven, in top physical shape worked out with him at our high school gym. He was an amazing football player. We all thought he’d be NFL. I’m praying for you Travis! We use fentanyl in veterinary medicine all the time. It’s used as an analgesic. We used to use fentanyl latches but because of the abuse potential, by pet owners, who would pull the patches off and suck the fentanyl out of the patch. Then claim the dog removed it and needed a new one. So, we don’t use them any more. We use it now primarily as an iv for post-operative pain management.
Why the he'll would an animal need to be in a fentanyl patch? I just can't envision a scenario where that needs to happen. He did the pharmaceutical companies weasel their way into the vet business? Most animals have a natural tolerance to pain that we don't have, I mean, give em tramadol or something for comfort, but fentanyl, good God no.
I don't know what that you worked for but I worked beside my vet for a whole year and still my vet today I used to rescue parrots but he also had a boarding clinic that I worked for but they never ever use fentanyl The hardest opiate I've ever seen them use on an animal was hydrocodone said they would give them fentanyl that just don't make no sense

So happy I got clean. I know it’ll sound weird, but I used oxycodone to get off fentanyl and not have any withdrawals (this is what kept me and others from getting sober). Did those for about 3 days and stopped. I’m 8 months sober and have never used for longer than 3 months. I would do a month here and be sober for 2-3 weeks and back to it for 2-3 months and repeat. Trust me, the grass is definitely greener on the sober side. I enjoy the little things in life so much more now. I hate it, but am glad I went through it. Made me a stronger person

Addiction doesn't have looks that's the scary part 😢😢 I'm 6 years so rough I'll call and seven years clean all drugs I come from a perfectly good home no mental abuse no physical abuse but I watch my dad die of cancer when I was 18 I'm 39 now I also had a full red college scholarship to play ice hockey so glad I got clean and sober before Fentanyl hit the streets Plus where I was in my active addiction was in my hometown in Iowa and heroin was so hard to get and you rarely seen it in 2015 I moved to Memphis Tennessee area I'm about 10 minutes from Memphis but I'm on the Mississippi side

I'm 6 years sober off alcohol and seven years clean off the roads I had a full ride college scholarship to play ice hockey in Omaha Nebraska but I watched my dad die of cancer when I was 18 and that's what turned me to the streets cuz I was angry after that I come from a perfectly good home with no mental or physical abuse My dad died at 54 I'm 39 now but my mom still alive at 74 I got three older siblings who are very successful in their '50s I'm glad I got sober and I wouldn't trade my worst day sober for my best time drunk or high❤❤❤
So sad. I knew so many people that came from decent or good homes and were smart and had so many doors open for them, but chose drugs. Sadly, none of them lived passed our mid 20’s. I hope Travis can get clean and reopen some of those doors that were open to him before.
Just had a fentanyl overdose scare. My 17 year old son had to give his dad chest compressions because he took a fentanyl laced pill. I wouldn’t wish that on my worse enemy. Saddest and scariest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.😢

So happy I got clean. I know it’ll sound weird, but I used oxycodone to get off fentanyl and not have any withdrawals (this is what kept me and others from getting sober). Did those for about 3 days and stopped. I’m 8 months sober and have never used for longer than 3 months. I would do a month here and be sober for 2-3 weeks and back to it for 2-3 months and repeat. Trust me, the grass is definitely greener on the sober side. I enjoy the little things in life so much more now. I hate it, but am glad I went through it. Made me a stronger person

To look at this guy, he doesn’t have the typical look most drug addicts have. I do hope he finds his own road to recovery. He still has his looks and has so much potential to lead a great life. I pray he finds his deliverance.

Addiction doesn't have looks that's the scary part 😢😢 I'm 6 years so rough I'll call and seven years clean all drugs I come from a perfectly good home no mental abuse no physical abuse but I watch my dad die of cancer when I was 18 I'm 39 now I also had a full red college scholarship to play ice hockey so glad I got clean and sober before Fentanyl hit the streets Plus where I was in my active addiction was in my hometown in Iowa and heroin was so hard to get and you rarely seen it in 2015 I moved to Memphis Tennessee area I'm about 10 minutes from Memphis but I'm on the Mississippi side

I'm 6 years sober off alcohol and seven years clean off the roads I had a full ride college scholarship to play ice hockey in Omaha Nebraska but I watched my dad die of cancer when I was 18 and that's what turned me to the streets cuz I was angry after that I come from a perfectly good home with no mental or physical abuse My dad died at 54 I'm 39 now but my mom still alive at 74 I got three older siblings who are very successful in their '50s I'm glad I got sober and I wouldn't trade my worst day sober for my best time drunk or high❤❤❤

So sad. I knew so many people that came from decent or good homes and were smart and had so many doors open for them, but chose drugs. Sadly, none of them lived passed our mid 20’s. I hope Travis can get clean and reopen some of those doors that were open to him before.
Just had a fentanyl overdose scare. My 17 year old son had to give his dad chest compressions because he took a fentanyl laced pill. I wouldn’t wish that on my worse enemy. Saddest and scariest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.😢
Having the physicality of a D1 football player opens up the opportunity of scaring project boys dealers out of their drugs.
