Nice! Love the interp in a fresh approach. America's music with a touch of rudimental drumming. Who says you have to be rigid when playing chop oriented snare drum music? Nice job and thanks for posting.
Lovely. I can only hope on future NASA missions exploration probes & radio signals that go out into the universe that this performance is sent out and they can appreciate this is truly special
Jesse Sieff oh of course, that always comes first. Either way, was very excited to see the updates recently on the filming, and to hear from my friend this past weekend that it was complete and would be out soon (I wasn't able to go, but he met you at the Texas state fair)
Jesse Sieff Dane with me I know this has been out for awhile but switch the snare jazz part to SNAre jaZZ to make it more noticeable and also just for laughs
Stephen Smith he’s playing a marching snare, so traditional grip is the standard with these drums. It goes to down a deep tradition from sling drums to why we use traditional, but mainly now a days it looks more pleasing and allows for greater creativity in stick tricks(which he shows many examples of in this video)
At this point, he has mastered traditional and his hands have gotten to the point where they sound pretty much the same, match definitely would help sound quality for beginners to intermediate players though.
sieff semantically remantling the musical mind, using rhythmic arithmetic to skip these stones over ya dome
Word brother.
Shoutout to Windows Vista sample music. Saw Goldberg live a while back; spectacular interpretation of a spectacular pianist.

Thank you so much, Dennis! Glad you enjoyed it

Me too! My new job with the Marines had to come first though. :)

...aaand when will we see the piece on Tapspace? 🤔 Excellent work man! 👍
Brilliant! The nuanced rhythms on the snare compliment this piece perfectly!
Thanks man!
Beautiful musicianship. The art of the possible for snare drum.
RIP Ryan McCutcheon. He was our assistant drumline instructor, and will always be remembered.

Love your vids Jesse, you are amazing!!! I’m auditioning for an open class DCI corps. (Louisiana stars) can someone give me any tips?
Thank you! Make sure you are beyond comfortable with the audition packet, and practice exactly how you intent to perform. (posture, technique, etc...)
Snazzy
What's the head? Is it the new sys blue?
0:16 Blue Devils 2011 ;)
How on earth do you get your snare drums to sound so nice?
Parker Stockford 1. It’s dynasty 2. He knows how to tune
consistent rod tension across the bottom head with on-the-looser side guts. sounds like a medium tension on the top head
Get yourself a Dynasty Dfz it's life changing
I just threw money at my computer screen
haha
Why traditional grip for the type of snare drum he is playing? Match would make more sense and sound better.

wtf did i just listen to
Virtually the same rudiments...every solo...try and do something else....thanks
