Underrated? This word is used under every single wrestling shoot interview. Windham is extremely highly rated. I had the chance to see him in WCW 93 and even though he was past his prime he was great.
I was one of the Biggest Barry Windom fans. His "Superplex" was an devastating move. He was ultra talented.

He was such a convincing heel in WCW in the early '90's, with such a striking appearance, that I could never have guessed he would turn out to be this softly-spoken gentleman.

Remember him teaming up with Dustin Rhodes as one of my favorite tag teams of the early 90s. Barry was one hell of an athlete - I hope he looks after himself.
I like the old time wrestling. Have not watched in like 15 years. Wrestling is too much talking and pillow fights. Miss the old days of the 80's and 90's

The best feud in WWE back in 1985 was Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo (U.S. Express) vs Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff.
Barry had the best arm drag take down in the business, he could do it from any angle to anybody, he could even do it from his knees, it truly was a beautiful thing to watch, even back then when quite a few wrestlers did it. Not many wrestlers today even do it anymore.
Great interview. Mr. Windham seems like a real gentleman.
Barry had the greatest heel turn ever
The Lugar turn by Barry stands out as my favorite moment as a wrestling fan. JJ pointing at Barry with his pinky and index " I warned you he wouldn't be there"
I'll never forget when Barry held up the hand-sign for the 4 Horsemen as he walked away from the ring that night.
Plus he had the mask of the "Midnight Rider" holding out the Limousine window as they pulled out 🤣🤣

you're a lucky guy I live in Wellington & I had no idea Windham had ever been to NZ. one of the all-time greats of the N.W.A.

I was never a big Barry Windham fan but watching some of his matches on youtube I can see why everyone says he was a great worker.
I grew up idolizing Barry and Dusty Blackjack Mulligan and Gordon Solie thank you for sharing this video

Am I the only one that finds this interview relaxing?
Big Ronnie Garvin was one of the most brutal wrestles at that time . I loved watch him put the Garvin stomp on the other wrestlers asses .Rowdy Roddy piper reminded me of Garvin . Both tough customers . These were two guy that knows how to get the job done . One of the most exiting tag team in the mid 80's was the Rock'n'Roll express . Those guys were only making $2000 a month on the road trips at that time and they both put on a hell of a show .

Man he’s changed. I met him at cowboys in 1997 at cowboys in bossier city after wrestling one night. Great guy, took time to sign autograph. One of the best.

His dad, Blackjack Mulligan, used to do the iron claw with the black glove before him.

Scott hall said too Steve Austin on a pod cast. That he met Barry down the steak Isle of a supermarket. Barry asked Hall what he was doing job wise, Scott said trying to get in the business .Scott said to Austin THIS IS BARRY WINDHAM AUSTIN REPLIES BY SAYING DAM RIGHT LIKE ACNOLAGING THAT HE IS A GOOD Piece of talent. Then hall says that Barry told Hall to go to the ring in I think it was Tamper. Hall goes on by saying that day Barry helped him he said Barry bumped for free you know gave up his own time just too help Hall get at that time a very very very difficult business too get in just read hogans book about Tamper territory. What a guy and Legend you are Mr Barry WINDHAM and deservedly so MR HALL OF FAMER? Big up respect big lad

Barry is the same age as me and I remember when he came on the scene with Crocket in Charlotte. He was a good natured guy so he wasn't really heel material. I remember how good he could move for a legit big man

Only thing that stops him from being a top 15 guy from the 1980's was his independence... he walked away from some commitments to Dusty and Vince and created some distrust. As a performer he could have main evented either territory as a top heel or babyface. I regret things didnt work out better for him, but I guess he walked to his own drummer and valued his independence

NWA use to show Sunday morning in New Mexico. 9am. Late 80s. I remember watching Windham.
Jajajajaja, I still remember that promo of the Horsemen when Barry called Sting and Luger, Stuger and Ling, lmao. I think it was on NWA Pro TV show on Saturday mornings. Aired on WPIX 11 for a wile, World Wide ran on NBC 4 NY at 2am Saturday-early Sunday.
I wish he would have asked him about his matches with David Von Erich.

Great shoot with one of my favorite performers ever in the business Barry Windham. I wished they would've asked him about working with David von Erich briefly in florida during David's test run as a heel.
