Dude, he played a character back then. His character was emotionless, narcissistic and cool. So of course his eyes were "lifeless". Would've been total out of character for him to show this side of his.

@@mrblonde609 Nah, its not the same thing. They are all "characters", but they don't look lifeless. It would make sense if that was the case for all of them, but Luger was the only one like that.

He has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ now. I heard him speak in front of a small crowd (maybe 100 or so people) in a church in Georgia. He gave his testimony, and it was incredible. That relationship makes all the difference.

He’s truly refreshing to listen to. He’ has obviously come to terms with his life and put himself in a good perspective with his faith. I’m from Buffalo and saw a segment when he was on the news, he goes and helps people spiritually these days. You can tell Elizabeth’s death and his own hardships had an impact on him and some people come out of that for worse or don’t survive (like Elizabeth), he chose the path to try and come out a better positive person.

He played his heel character well and part of that was probably carrying that over with the other guys, but most people who didn't like him prob think he was a weak in ring worker and it's more the lesser guys who trash lex with a beer in their hand in these motel shoot interviews out of jealousy, because of his perceived working ability and the pushes he got. Most top guys never had a problem with him and from my knowledge, he never backstabbed or screwed over any guys.

Good lord..an hour long broadway with a green Luger. Not even Flair could've made that work. I'm a Luger mark, but no one needs to see him in an hour long match. Great interview!

Very very honest interview, you can tell that he had a spiritual Foundation even before he went through all his trials and tribulations, there are a lot of us that go The Prodigal Son route, but how many are able to live to tell the story of redemption.

What a great interview. When Lex hit the scene in JCP and wanting to be an "associate" to the Horsemen, it was like, "Who is this Dude?...WOW!"
The Total Package Lex Luger was a great heel and a solid Horsemen. I like the fact that he was put with Ric, Tully, and Arn, trained with them and lived the Horsemen lifestyle 24/7. If Vince wasn't such a jerk, Ole and Lex should have been inducted into the WWE HoF with the Horsemen as well.

What a wonderful guy and as usual a fantastic interview.
I’ve heard ppl criticise Hannibal and the interviews, usually because his voice is quite and low, but I feel he is one of the few that actually can do an “Interview”.
Many like Conrad treat these shoots as a conversation, like they are the star and the person ppl want to hear from.
That’s not the case, that’s why I also like WSI but that is a little to much quick fire sometimes as if they are rushed and James often has his questions lined up and he can just go from one topic to another.
Hannibal on the other hand takes his time, he’s not afraid of a few seconds of silence which his guests often then often use to elaborate on the topic and story and we get far more insight and information.
I’m not sure if there is any of his interviews I dislike, he’s great at doing these and because of his inside knowledge doesn’t waffle on asking stupid questions that 90% of fans already know the answer too and don’t want to hear again.
So Hannibal my good man… Bravo 👏 bravo 👏 bravo 👏 this one especially was fantastic.
Lex comes across as a wonderful guy who’s gained humility and is a extremely humble and personal.
He seems very honest and genuine and is the complete opposite of the Lex we’ve heard described by two faced dirt birds like flair and others. ❤❤❤

I feel humility can be a cover for something ugly under the surface, but lex does seem very forward and candid with the interview and I'm sure his relationship with Jesus is the reason for the forth coming attitude and demeanor, may God bless you and your family lex you inspired me to work out as a little boy and a lot of my peers were scared of my muscles because at 9-10 years old I built my own workout station and was working out daily and probably all wrong with the technical side of it but LoL 😮I got results but anyways thanks from the childhood memories lex

I agree, I am always very skeptical of people with extreme humility or even people who are overly positive. In my experiences, it seems more often than not whenever I've gotten to known these types, it turned out to be front. It's as if they have trouble being honest with other people, or even themselves and need to sugar coat everything; feel an extreme need to be accepted by others; or as you said are simply covering an ugly side of their personality. But Lex has gone through a lot over the past 15-20 years, so perhaps it is genuine. I do think it was pretty obvious he was not being completely honest about Miss Elizabeth's death though.

Love me some Lex. Rooted against him my whole childhood. The (my) four horsemen turning on him made me very happy. So, watching these videos you learn who people really are. Humble, respectful, nice guy who clearly has gained perspective as life goes along (like the rest of us). Thanks Lex, loved rooting against you all those years. Hope health is better going forward.
