Honestly, with him gone, no they won't be. Bucks bench has no depth, their coach is very one dimensional and the only guys they can rely on are Giannis and Middleton. Without Giannis they would fall apart, losing to teams like the Raps, Celtics, etc. If anything, most logical thing would be to bet on Giannis going to Raps, for reasons that everyone has highlighted, and doubly so if the Raps win the ECF. Which is quite likely, if we play at our best and healthy.

It’s not exactly a prime destination, but I think Dallas should be in the conversation as a potential spot for Giannis. The team is young with two stars in Luka and Porzingis. Also, if he likes other European players, the Mavs have all the European team mates he could ever want.

If Giannis and Siakam are on the same team, who on the Lakers is guarding them? Who on the Clippers is guarding them? That's an unstoppable duo with plenty of shooters and elite defenders surrounding them in OG and FVV. They'd easily be the best team in the league.

I feel like international and especially players who grew up poor are more loyal to their franchises than americans and homegrown players. Like think about it, Giannis would not have grown into the same player he is today if it wasn't for the Bucks and their staff who had trust in him and who helped him become the unstoppable force he is today. I think that he feels that way too and that he owes them a ring. He is not interested in living the life at some big market city like LA or Miami, he is feeling great in Milwaukee
I really don't think Giannis will leave the Bucks. I think it's more of a,"I want a good story, so I'm gonna spread these rumors around saying that Giannis might leave" (this wasn't towards Nick). Giannis to the Raptors makes the absolute most sense of any destination that isn't Milwaukee.
Off the court, Giannis already has a preexisting relationship with Masai to start. The Raptors have one of the best front offices in basketball. They have contracts coming off the books at the right time, which will give them good financial flexibility. Toronto also has one of the largest greek communities outside of Greece on the planet. Plus, it's a much larger market than Milwaukee.
On the court? You have a team coming off a recent championship, with plenty of young pieces to like going forward. You have a top 3 coach in the NBA right now. You have a co-star that fits Giannis' timeline perfectly and has really high upside (coupled with already being a proven star).
GS is aging fast and will only give Giannis an immediate window to truly be competitive. This core of Miami's is still unproven (although I'd be lying if I said it didn't look promising). Ultimately, if Giannis does leave Milwaukee (which he very well may not), Toronto makes the most sense by a fair chunk of any destination for him when you consider most of the above.

@@splashnskillz37 I can't stress enough that if Giannis is listed as a 3, 4 or whatever, it really does not matter. He'll have a role he's comfortable with regardless of that. The selling point in Toronto in terms of pieces isn't Lowry. It's Pascal, FVV, OG, Terrance Davis, Norm, etc. who are all great fits around Giannis. Also consider that Toronto has the 2nd best defense in the league right now without him. Imagine adding Giannis (a DPOY candidate) into that fold. That defense would be all time, and come playoff time, that defense would easily power that team through the East.
Toronto is no colder than Milwaukee, and generally way warmer than the American rhetoric paints it as. Nontheless, if he's not complaining about the weather in Milwaukee, then Toronto should be fine. I would actually bank on Giannis caring more about being surrounded by Greek culture than being in year round warm weather. But hey, to your point, if Giannis values winning over being with Greek people, I'd say that goes the same for weather, which still leaves Toronto as the top option.
As for some of the other teams you pitched. LA is gonna have their money tied up in Bron and AD for the most part so that rules them out. Dallas is gonna be in a similar boat with Luka and Porzingis. As for Atlanta, Trae Young is absolutely not gonna be a "top 3 player in the league for the next decade." Luka I'd definitely give you, but Trae is an an absolute reach and a half.

I think if he went to any playoff team that already has another superstar ( Heat, Raptors, Pacers, Denver..etc) it would be a top contender and he knows that. Problem is there is already so many duo star teams that are contenders ever since KD/Kyrie went to Nets, PG/ Kawhi went to Clippers, LBJ/ AD went to Lakers...etc. But if he (outside of injury) went to any teams that already have 2 superstars he not only would be able to nearly guarantee a chip but he'd be in position to form the best big 3 ever and attain a potential 3 peat+, think ( Lakers, Clippers, Warriors, Rockets, Portland, Nets..etc) So many places he can go and completely fuck up the current balance in the NBA.

None of those teams are good for Giannis except Raptors. I think Giannis is seriously considering joining the Raptors as that team is a really strong team already and it just needs a star leader like Giannis to win it's next championship. Lots of Pros for Giannis there. Championship proven team, best coach, best GM (Masai Ugiri), resilient team with heart and skill, 2nd seed ranking without their star player Kawahi Leonard, able to give Giannis a max deal, most supportive fans and BIG city of Toronto, lots of international and African players on team who have a lot of talent and spark (Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, Serge Ibaka), meaningful relationship with Masai Ugiri.

Jrue and Dipo are definitely sleepers for this free agency. They can change a teams for years. Imagine Jrue in Philly with all the pieces retained. He could easily slide Richardson to the bench and be a terror on defense with Ben. Jrue could essentially run the “true point” with Ben being the point forward. This would also greatly improve their offense.

Nope. That’ll ensure he dips. Because the Bucks already have no cap space. It’ll only ensure they don’t improve their roster for most of Giannis’ prime. He doesn’t want that. He can go to Miami, a team with enough cap space to sign him and whoever he wants to bring with him and they already have a solid 8 man rotation without him and another star player.
Also, the exposure alone will be enough for him to leave for a bigger market like Miami. Endorsements will be thrown at him left and right and Miami is a gumbo in terms of mixed in ethnicities. Not just the team but the city as a whole. He’ll fit right in.
knicks will have cap space, rj barrett, mitch robinson, a top 5 pick this year, and potentially next. could draft lamelo and trade next year’s for role players around giannis

I don't think Giannis has the type of character to join Steph and Klay in Golden State. This guy wants to be by far the best player on his team like he is now. He saw, like everyone else, the attention Kevin Durant got for joining the Warriors and if he does strongly hold winning as his true compass, all I can say is he will probably end up in either Miami or Toronto. Even as a Raps fan I have to admit that I give the edge to Miami because of the weather and the fact that unlike Toronto, Miami didn't end up closing the door to the Finals for his team once, and potentially again in this year's playoffs.
