  • Killing can be deemed justifiable in self defense, but some places you will have to try harder than others to get a judge and jury to believe you! What is this gray area of the law when killing is justified? Check out today's new video to find out when it is actually legal to kill someone.

    • @VisonsofFalseTruths
      @VisonsofFalseTruths 2 ปีที่แล้ว +56

      @@Bricknick98 that’s not remotely relevant. The question was whether or not killing the man was legally justifiable and the answer is yes. The burglar chose to attack and suffered the consequences of his actions. Besides which, America has a long history of home invaders successfully suing homeowners because they were injured after breaking in. More importantly, trying to disable and restrain an armed attacker would have exposed him to unnecessary risk.
      I’m sorry but reality isn’t like a superhero comic where the bad guys just get beat up. If he hadn’t killed the assailant, he’d be dead himself. He was entirely justified. End of discussion.

    • @tangoromeo9477
      @tangoromeo9477 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I don't believe it gave us enough information for us to determine whether or not individual was in their house. I believe we should hear a more detailed description of the actual scenario before coming to a conclusion. If the person was approaching them and walking into their house, it is possible that the castle doctrine would stand in the case. I'm not saying I agree with it, but them's the breaks.

    • @dejaxyz311
      @dejaxyz311 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @@tangoromeo9477 literally the man was outside there house in customs . Have u never had a person ring ur doorbell before ? Does that make u go into insane panic and pull out ur gun ?? The wife was weird to call her husband down with his gun and the husband was weird from being so comfortable with shooting someone that was obviously not a threat , outside there house , and didn’t look or seemed armed . They was dressed up in costumes for goodness sake . But I wouldn’t be surprised since jay was in 1992 , that it had to be racially motivated for him being a Asian guy .

    • @tangoromeo9477
      @tangoromeo9477 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@dejaxyz311 have you never heard of people trying to force their way into your house utilizing an excuse? One tactic back in the 90s for criminals was to knock on someone's door claiming something innocuous. They would then pressure the homeowner by slowly moving into the house while talking to them. Then after stepping through the doorway they would close the door behind them and do whatever it was they were planning on doing in the first place.
      Also, I would like to know why you think it is potentially racially-motivated. What evidence do you have to back it up? Because the woman at the door was scared of some stranger's in costumes knocking on their door and claiming that there was a party? And one of the two continues to approach the door despite the woman stating the opposite? I'm not saying there was no racially-motivated decisions, but the information that we got isn't enough to make that determination.
      I personally would ask questions regarding the woman at the door. Why did she not close the door and lock it? Did they block the door? Did they knock multiple times trying to get in? Was there anything in addition to the two persons presence that motivated the woman to contact her husband?
      There's far more that we need to understand before we can make a determination. That determination shouldn't be made off of a cartoon clip that only told the story from the Duo's perspective. In order to understand the full story we also need the homeowners perspective. Then you take the evidence into account, and make your determination.

      But living remotely, anyone who comes to my property is usually greeted with calm force. We're not right off the main road. It takes some driving down our personal road to get to us.

      Sadly not all countries allows you to defend your property while it's being robbed. The thief can actual press charges for assault even if they're in the middle of robbing your house.
      A farmer in my country shot a home intruder once and was locked up for use of a deadly weapon.

I was violently robbed and defended myself with lethal force, I wasn't even in my home, but where I live IS a stand your ground state, so I have no legal obligation to retreat or not to defend myself. I neutralized 2 of the threats and the third one retreated. The police ended up catching the 2 that were trying not to bleed out and m found the other one had went home to get a gun they found him with. Self defense is part of american culture, any state not allowing it is begging for revolution and civil war.

      I've read the wiki about the incident and it was a mistake on both sides. Yoshihiro wasn't wearing contact lenses during the incident which is weird (because why would you go to a party and not wear contact lenses which is the only thing to help you see the party?) yand also thought that the gun was a prank while Peairs(the shooter) clearly wanted to apprehend them because they we're already outside the house near their car when he aimed at them with the gun. Yoshihiro's friend also didn't communicate their intentions clearly because he spoke English but they still thought that they were assailants. It's very unfortunate because the Yoshihiro could've lived if the misunderstanding was cleared sooner.

    I feel so sorry for people who got in to jail because they were protecting their house. For everyone reading this, If I tell my stroy short , my parents got very ill( one with a mental illness) because of the constant thefts occurring due to time to time. It's just the insecurity you feels when you are in your own home. I know the Theives may have their own struggles; but any good person in this earth will help them if they ask it. I wish everyone to not get robbed in there house and not to be threatened by killing there family.I just wish, If they can bring my parents back to normal. Peace for the world. Just don't be a theif

      It reminds me of a story, where in a kingdom of stupids a wall fell on the burglar when he was stealing from a rich man, the king found the owner guilty as it had cost a life of someone. the owner passed the guilt onto the builder and builder onto a lady who was supposed to be distracting him while he was building the wall, the lady to the goldsmith because he wasn't giving her the gold (that she bought) and she had to make continues trips to him and the Smith to the owner as it whose marriage he was making the jewelry for instead of the lady's. And then instead of the owner another person was executed because the owner was too thin for the stake
