      I didn't exercise for a while and they came, I also ate more meat. I praise Jesus Christ that I am able to bare a child but I praise Him more for the fact that I have no children...

      hey love! i stopped working out/going to the gym, but still continued to practice yoga regularly! (my mother thinks that the strength training i was doing was too intense for me) i also increased the amount of healthy fats in my diet (avocado, seeds/nuts, nut butters, etc.) and i still ate a mostly whole foods/plant-based diet but i was A LOT more laid back and ate more treats than usual during december/january because of the holidays aha, so i just listened to my body, ate intuitively, and didn't restrict myself (i never counted calories or macros). i think the key is to not stress yourself over exercise or food and make sure you're eating and resting enough!! best of luck, sending all my love xo

      AG gang I didn’t excersise at all apart from just walking, and I ate whatever I wanted and ate a lot of healthy fats like avocado, nuts, oils, milk. It took me about 3 months and I ended up gaining 5 kg but I don’t even look any different so don’t be afraid to gain a bit of weight! Good luck 💗

    After wanting to lose weight and successfully doing so, I got myself stuck in a rut of restriction and probably undereating. I can happily say I've just had my first period in around 4 months. Trust me everyone worrying, increase your calories and it will come back !! You can do this ❤️

      This is what im going to start doing, I'm going to increase my calories to at least 2500-2800 and eat lots of nuts, seeds, avocado, salmon and I'll also make sure i get enough vitamins including B12, probably do some yoga poses and add or drink many spices like cinnamon, turmeric or ginger

      I stopped my restriction but I have depression and anxiety tendencies I havnt been diagnosed but I sometimes cry about myself more than three times a week and I always have something on my mind so my hormones are out of wack! I also can’t fall asleep until about 2 am but I have to wake up at 6 am 😖🔪

      @@wedjylouis3164 yes, after seven months, I got it back. I'm so thankful with God. I prayed with all my heart and next month it was back and I also started eating more calories and more carbs. I now also gained weight thank God. Without God, I don't think this would have been possible, as I was losing a lot of weight week by week. God gave me the courage and took the depression and axiety from me. No matter if u are Christian or not, just believe in Jesus Christ, in his name God will heal you as He healed me.

    I got my period on Nov 16 and I don’t remember when it ended >-< and I haven’t gotten it Today is Dec 3

      put your focus and attention elsewhere. Find something that will "distract" you and bring you peace. The less stress over it the better!

    After 3 months of exhausting exercise (and caring too much about what i eat and how many calories and all that stuff) and not having a period I decided to stop exercising this hard for one month added more fats in my diet (I didn't care much to be honest if I ate one whole avocado and 2 tbp of nut butter , shredded coconut in my oatmeal at the same day) . So after one month I got my period back and.. it feels great to know that I'm healthy again (all this time I thought I was healthy but that's not true) . Please don't stress yourself and EAT as much food as you want and don't be afraid of healthy fats JUST DON'T . I wanna thank you for giving us all these important advices that we need to keep in mind if we want to stay healthy and for the motivation .

    Ah.. so my period gone for 4 months cause of "Sleeping late". i been staying up so late everyday and didn't even care about my period. now i guess i better change my sleep time. (I alway sleep like midnight or 1-2 am T^T) i have a little of stressed. and i think i don't get enough calories too. (Sometimes i skip breakfast and don't eat lunch) Thank you for your tips! it help me alot, hopefully i got my period back soon :D❤️

    My cycle became irregular after a hernia treatment; treatment was numbing the nerve that was hurting from the hernia by the use of corticosteroids injected into my back. Before this my cycle was very regular. After the treatment at first I was having my period all the time, then it completely stopped. I got it back from being prescribed some hormones.these worked right away! I was so happy to get my period back; that may sound weird but I feel it's a part of my life and even with the cramps and everything, I really missed it and I'm glad it's back. It's like I'm back living on the waves of my cycle.
    Thanks very much for the video, it's good to just talk normally about these things.

    I stress out a lot from school since I'm always trying to get a good grade, and I think this one of the reasons I have lost my period. 😭 but ty for the tips!

      yes, stress/anxiety are definitely high reasons for period loss! There are plenty of ways you can reduce your stress level. Try to incorporate relaxing "me time" each day for 15-60 minutes OR 1 full rest day each week, so that you can do whatever you love to do that makes you happy/chilled out/brings you joy! (go get a massage, read a book, get your nails done, go to the park for a picnic, spend the day with a loved one, have a hot bubble bath, try yoga or meditation, draw, paint, sing, dance etc. the possibilities are endless!!)

      Marie Claire Mampinda it’s not a laughing matter I told my friends I lost it but lied about how long it’s been missing and they just said I was lucky!🤬I said it was 3 months but in actuality it has been over 8 months and I recovered from multiple ed’s and am in recovery from a different one now.

    I did lost my period during highschool for a year. I was struggling with my exams at school, wanted to score the highest in my class so I almost had no time to eat properly. Most of the time I skipped meals to study more. I stress level was so high, also the pressure from my family was enormous. At the end of school year I weighed 43 kilos. I liked to not have periods but then the reality hit me hard. It wasn't healthy. I maybe had permanent damage. Thankfully that wasn't the case. Slowly I ate more and more. So after 14 months I got my period back. I remember crying when I saw it. It is a part of me and I am grateful for getting it back.

      if you just got your first period, its perfectly normal for it to be irregular as your body is still getting used to the whole process, it happened to me, I dont think you need to worry ❤

    Our place is currently under quarantine because of covid. Sadly, it's very hard to get healthy foods 😢 and being alone really stresses me out. I hope this will end soon, and get my period sooner

    I started mine about 4 months ago, then it stopped about 2 months ago. It just came back on the 3rd month of it being gone. Reading all of these comments with the same issue makes me feel better, thought something was wrong. I think it might have been stress though, even though I'm still pretty stressed.

    I asked my sister for this and just said I might be pregnant. Lol they don't effin trust me and so do I though. I haven't been having my period since 3 months after my mom's death.     i was freaking out and worrying that something was like drastically wrong with me, and now i think i know what i was doing wrong. i am naturally really skinny, and recently, since caronavirus, my eating has been way out of whack, bad food, then i started eating realy healthy food, but not enough of the necessary protien and stuff. ima try doing that, and excercising lightly, to some extent, and well see what happens. hopefully i get healthier
    and needless to say, i am so glad that i am not the only one who goes through this, because i thought i was, and that was freaking me out

    Thank you for sharing all of these tips! I have not had a period since April 2019, so around 16 months. It's been exhausting, isolating, and anxiety-provoking. I follow a whole foods plant-based diet, but for some reason, I'm still nervous to increase my calories and decrease my exercise. I'm at a healthy weight, and everyone keeps telling me how good I look.

    6 months ago, I started exercising vigorously on a daily basis (at first even in the middle of my fasts), restricting my calories and all of that and my period has been irregular ever since. So after realizing the damage I’d caused to my body, I’ve decided to eat intuitively (eat whenever I’m hungry and stop when I’m full) and started reducing my exercise intensity and frequency (to 30 mins jogs and occasionally 15 min workouts). I will start adding more fats into my meals and making sure I’m sleeping well. Will that be enough to get my period back, or do I still have to actively increase my calories and/or decrease exercise even further to the extent of gaining weight? (Because I’m currently happy with the body fat percentage I’m at now...)

      increasing you calories is actually most important! making sure you are fueling your body appropriately is KEY! I recommend 2000-3000 cals for average women

    Well I’m fat, I exercise a little, I sleep/rest a lot ( basically lazy as what they call me) but I am stressed....and I mean STRESSED...

    I am 33 years old never start my period, they did put me on birth control and I was having bad headaches and being too emotional and I stop for least 8 years, I not against having kids I love kids and would love have some day. And I know it could not be healthy not be on the pill, but I like your tips on what to ear and drink and what not to drink or eat that might not help my hormone level.. Thanks I I try it!

      how many years have you had your period?? If you are young and only have gotten your first ever period then this is some what normal. However, if you are in your late teen's/early twenties, then this is not healthy and you could have a serious problem. I suggest go see your doctor and get your blood work done!

    Thank you so much for posting this video because I haven't had my period for 1 yr now and I need all tips I can find!! I don't think I have any ED (I just eat a lot everyday) and I only do soccer which isn't as intense as a gym workout so I don't know what's wrong...And when you said carbs and fats, do you mean a having a meat diet or what other kind of foods have healthy carbs and fats? (you mentioned avocado and nuts :)Thanks again!

      I only ever recommend a plant-based diet for optimal health, so whenever I talk about food it is PLANTS 👍 You want to be eating whole plant foods for best health!

    Any tips on how to get your body producing estrogen and progesterone?
    I’ve been suffering from irregular periods, because of being on the pill so long, my body after 10 months off the pill, is still barely producing these on its own.
    I’ve been to the dr, we’ve been trying some different things, nothing is consistently working though 😕

      Meditation suprising has helped me but you can try carrots, grains and other foods too.
      I usually set an intention when meditating and it happens a few days later.
      It is just like ordering food, it's that simple. I also like to add, forgive your self and your body. You didn't know that birth control would do this, it's great that you have became aware of this.

      Fingers crossed they continue when I stop the herbs soon.

    I am so frustrated at this point ! One month I will get it and the next not then possibly 3 months without and then a random one. I am restricting my eating to 1500-16000 and then I have some refeed days where I don't really keep count so I could be eating 2000 plus. I do workout 5-6 days a week relatively intense. I'm pretty petite 5,2 112 lbs so is not as though I require are really large calorie intake. I feel satiated with 1500-1600 but not having period is obviously a problem. I also don't eat any processed foods so I am eating nutritious foods ! I want to increase my calories in hopes that it will help me get a period but I don't want to hinder the results I have made in the gym

      alexis rojas you're worried about the results in the gym? Your body is telling you it's starving. All that intense exercise and calorie restriction for what really? If you are on a plant based diet it's really not necessary. I think you can still have your intense workouts but not every single day. You are trying to restrict calories on a diet that's already low in calories. Most people lose weight even if they don't want to. By the way if you are missing your period you require more calories than you think. Don't be afraid to eat, I'm sure you would still look great.

      If you are restricting your food and over-exercising, your body will NOT have healthy hormones and you will not have a period. I highly recommend you increase your calories to AT LEAST 2000

    Thanks for the tips. I haven't gotten my period since I went vegan but I lose it pretty easily. I have had amenorrhoea on and off since my teens. I have an underlying health problem (pancreatic insufficiency and colitis) which doesn't help. I think my problem is not enough fat so I'm going to try to increase. I think I went too low fat when I came to a vegan diet. It's because of my health problem I don't digest fats well so I had been trying to control the symptoms with very low fat. But because I absorb it poorly I'm probably getting even less, oops. Will try it out and see how I get on 😊

    I‘m 17 (almost 18) and I had my last period when I was 15..
    But I don‘t know why.. I mean I eat between 2.500-3.500 calories ( oc vegan ) a day.
    I do a lot of running ( 70-100km a week ) so maybe that‘s why 😕 but I don‘t want to run less because I want to be an ultra runner.

      Your caloric intake isn’t meeting your caloric burning. 70 to 100 km a week!
      Your not eating enough calories. Not enough fat.

      Go to the doc! Maybe you have pcos. Have your blood test and ultrasound done. If it is pcos I would cut done on carbs and sugary food.

      +Hoseok 's if you really feel like you're doing everything right and living a healthy lifestyle and still do not have your period, then it could be something very serious. Talk to your Dr. and get your blood work done!!

      The Vegan Solution I already did that. My doctor did a blood test on me and said that there isn't anything wrong and suggested that I should take the pill. I took it for almost 5 months and nothing changed so I stopped taking it.

      Hoseok 's What you may not notice but still can be the reason is stress. I also lost my period for two months because of stress and I didn't really feel stressed. But then I got a temperature for almost 3 days without any other sign of a flu. I stayed in bed and slept a lot and the first day without temperature was when my period came back. And looking back at it I'm very sure it was stress.
      So take a rest from your daily routine and relax! It is sooo important!

      Oh so insomnia could also be the reason why my period hasn't came back for a month and a half since I usually go to sleep at 3:00 am and then I wake up at 6:00 am every day and sometimes I even stay up until 7:00 am and then wake up at 9:00 am oof

      I've been IF for over a year and have had a perfect regular period and healthy hormones all this time. You can certainly have a regular period whilst IF. What's most important is that you are eating ENOUGH, and eating nutritious whole plant foods 😎

    I’m only 13, 5’2 and I weigh around 95 lbs. I haven’t had my period in 7 months. It definitely wasn’t super regular before since I only got it for the first time when I was 12 but I’ve been restricting and binging/purging for the past 7 months as well and I know I have an eating disorder. I want to get help but my ed is just so strong and I don’t know what to do. The most conflicting thing for me is that I haven’t even lost a ton of weight I just know that there’s no way I’m healthy cuz I haven’t had my period in so long. Ughhh I just don’t know what to do. I just see so many recovery videos where they say that they had an ed for a year and then they entered recovery so I just feel like I haven’t had it long enough to get help.

      same..even though i was already skinny before i lost like 12 pounds.. I'm 15.. 5 foot and I was 110 pounds like 4 months ago and now i'm like 98 pounds. i exercise every day and i have been trying to increase my calorie intake..but i keep thinking im gonna gain too much weight :( I also lost my period.

    I haven't had my period for 2 years, so I've kind of lost hope already, to be honest :/
    I eat enough for my body, don't exercise a lot (maybe 2-3 times a week) but I think my depression and school stress might affect it the most right now

      don't lose hope! It really does depend on how much damage you've put your body through, and for how long, to know when you'll get your period back. If you're very sure you are eating lots of fuel for your body + healthy amount of exercise + you have a healthy body fat % (about 20), then talk to your doctor and get bloodwork done because this might be something more serious!!

    I got my period at 9 1/2 years old and am 12 I went through anorexia for about a little over half a year. It only lasted 7 months and in no way am I saying I had the worst but I lost sooo much weight that I lost my period the second month in. It’s been almost 8 months and my development was delayed I was always developed a little more than average but now I feel left behind since all my friends say they got it at 10 or 11 and now I’m crying in my room!!!😭😫

    Yes I missed for 2months now, but if I'm not pregnant...then excuse me period for extra 4months to make half a yr no menstrual bcz I ws about to die due to that thing PERIOD.

      After your very 1st period it’s normal if you don’t get it again for a long time,maybe a year. Once you start again it should start to be regular .
