Hey Dr. Mona ! You give off such a good energy. I'm on the other side of the world and I can still feel it. Amazing content and super helpful! When you've mentioned your cortisol spikes at around 5 am, its actually because of the Circadian cycle. Waking up from the sleep state is probably one of the most stressful situations that a body has to go through whence the cortisol levels remain high from around 5 am to 9 am if I'm not wrong. Just thought of sharing this information! Hope it helps
I’ve started growing many of these herbs and it makes it very affordable. If you’re a gardener, add them to your herb garden. Thanks for the video and information.
Good tips! Yes, I've actually been using Thyme Essential Oil on outer ankle bones for progesterone balancing...Also Grapefruit and Clary Sage (inner ankle for estrogen balancing)...had ovarian cysts which have never had, and these have helped tremendously....(found out Estrogen dominant and Adrenal Fatigue from Hormone saliva test) Also use Maca Root powder daily in smoothie (1/2-3/4 tsp) as well as 2 tbsp Flaxseeds...and short term using some natural progesterone cream because off charts low, ugh!....but I'm getting there. Period started exact day it's suppose to and even lighter woohoo. Those adaptogens are great ones. Also Rhodiola, Euthero(sp?), Ginseng, Vitex. Also DIM supplement for getting rid of excess estrogen!
Love this video. Hope to see more video like this in the future. It’s really informative and can help a lot of people who are clueless or don’t know where to start.
I will never follow a doctor or person who claims carbs are “bad.” Such as keto, which has been shown to be helpful in losing weight, but long term it can be harmful. The human body needs healthy carbs, fats and protein. So I’m glad to see you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon. Is coconut oil okay to eat in small amounts if you have high cholesterol?
I just wanted to come on here and say I do love Four Sigmatic. I’m happy to hear you talking about it. I even go back to old videos just to listen to what you have suggested before I order some.

Please take caution with adoptogens. My former naturopath prescribed Holy basil in the evening for suspected evening rise in cortisol. It caused adrenal crisis. Total cortisol took a fifty percent decline. She told me afterwards that it can aggregate the adrenals. Three months and still in recovery. I was looking so youthful but have rapidly aged. Please if you are particularly sensitive Please take caution ⚠️

I appreciate your info, but what do I do if I have no gallbladder? I feel best on a plant-based diet. But I guess I haven't figured out yet what my body wants me to be eating. I'm always bloated. Almost always gassy. Almost always feeling tired. I know I can't eat onions unless they are cooked to death. No coffee either because that gives me stomach cramps and a stomach ache. If I eat too much at a time (which I don't do anymore. I now eat small meals more times a day), I get a headache. I am not supposed to eat eggs or dairy or beef or Pork or greasy foods, which is completely fine by me. The dr's said that the reason they had to take my gallbladder out is because of hormones. I had just given birth at 43 for the first time and before that they thought I couldn't have children.
Thank you so much for this video. I have been struggling for a few years now with hormonal imbalance. I will definitely incorporate these suggestions into my daily diet routine and see how it works out. You have definitely gotten yourself a new subscriber!! 💕

I love your videos! Love that you are detailed about the information you present. I also appreciate your personal opinion about products, ingredients, etc. Keep up the good work. I really appreciate you! : )
Bahamas people there's raw milk and long milk has a lot of great enzymes in it that are very healthy for the body and I've known people with diabetes and left a lot of other things alone but they drink that raw milk but in the morning they do a pure coffee is a pure coffee and I wanted to present pure orange juice fresh squeezed and later on in the afternoon or evening they drink the raw milk and all depends how the people that raise their cows treat their cows how the milk is and these particular people there it's called organic pasture they have really good just products but I do agree what you're saying about the other dairy products and things yes
I ferment my organic milk when the raw is out of season and I'm totally happy with that. It's delish and clears the skin after a few weeks. Reg milk is too tough on my system though, I agree. Couldn't do the alternatives to milk. They just don't taste very good to me.
Also, regular dairy milk has cow puss. Dairy increases inflammation and mucus in the body. We should not consume milk from a cow, just like a cow shouldn’t consume goat milk. It’s just not for us as humans. Great tips, will be incorporating these options.
So much helpful information. I love these kind of videos. I've been wanting to try Four Sigmatic so I'm excited for the Black Friday sales. Thank youuu!
Please advise on the LEAD disclaimer on Four Sigmatic products. I was shocked to see this lead disclaimer on a box of their Lion's Mane, so I returned it and stopped using their products.
Thank you for this wealth of knowledge. It is no wonder I crave for foods like avocado, cheese, salmon, and other natural fatty foods when I'm stressed and tired. Herbs help too, just as much as Jasmine tea.
First time I've seen your videos. It was very informative and although I had known about some of the things you'd discussed there is plenty that was new to me. Thanks for sharing.

I got off BC after 5 years and experienced horrible cystic acne and period cramps and periods in general. I tried to get my hormones balanced for 4 years (I am vegan and very healthy overall) and nothing helped. I unfortunately had to get back on BC and the issues ceased. I'd love to be all natural again.
I am kind of confused. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend everyone, including children and adults to have 3 servings of dairy per day in order to get enough calcium our body needs. You are recommending to cut the dairy or get it substituted by non-dairy products. So which one is a healthier choice?
Dr. Wand can we take ashwagandha when u dont have a thyroid? My mom had her thyroid removed due to thyroid cancer. I want to help her because her hormones are imbalanced. She is moody and depressed.
What Does lactose free mean. Is it Gluten free ? What are some creamy milks that are gluten free ? I have a no about ricotta cheese, etc What about some gluten free or vegan friendly dips?
What do you incorporate into your meals as your protein source? I am not vegan, and not planning on going vegan, but I hate meat, texture, taste etc. I struggle most with finding ways to get enough protein in other than with eggs and beans (not really a fan of beans either). Ty!
Hi thank you so much for all your videos and information. I love these videos as much if not more then the what you eat in a day so keep them coming. Also I am on a Candida cleanse and learning a lot about this, could you please do a more in-depth video on this. Thank you xx
I think gluten only affects hormones when it's associated with an autoimmune reaction/intolerance. Because then your body attacks itself because it sees the gluten as a threat and damages the intestines so you can't properly synthesize estrogen.
You are lovely and I enjoyed this video. I'm struggling with hot flashes and mood swings, I take great care of myself (no dairy, plant based diet, exercise) but I just can't seem to strike a balance. I'm going to try these recommendations. Thank you!
Not eating grains, especially gluten healed infertility and hormonal problems for me - including depression and anxiety and fatigue, arthritis too!! You know what you are talking about.
Just a suggestion, have you ever thought about making a spanisch version channel or videos ( subtitles or translated )? Being in LA should it be easier, and so that your good messages and info can reach more people. In my opinion it would be worthy. 😊

Is coconut oil okay to eat in small amounts if you have high cholesterol?
this was an amazing video! truly the most informative and objective video i’ve seen in ages
I just wanted to come on here and say I do love Four Sigmatic. I’m happy to hear you talking about it. I even go back to old videos just to listen to what you have suggested before I order some.
OAT MILK IS AMAZING. TATSE DELICIOUS AND IM NOT EVEN VEGAN ❤️
I use sesame seed milk
I really enjoyed this it was very helpful for me as a woman dealing with a Thyroid issue and some bad eating habits I’m going to make some changes especially with using dairy No More that made sense, I’ve heard it before but you have to hear it more than a couple of times, this is something they pushed on us starting back in the 50’s that’s a serious habit to break but I will it’s not good for any of us so please continue to share information 👍🏽
Best video ever! Better than any advice I’ve ever received from my own doctors. Please do more videos like this Mona!
this video is one of the best I've ever watched. people need to hear this I've been waiting for someone to come out and say these things... I praise u!! lmao ur the smartest ! thank you for sharing ur knowledge, love ur channel. im putting more people onto u☻ , thanks Mona!!!
I'm a 50 yr old premen. woman don't go to doctors and am leary of advice, although I found this video very informative and appreciate the knowledge which was backed by your years of research and application as I could tell, thank you
Please take caution with adoptogens. Please if you are particularly sensitive Please take caution ⚠️
omg.. i found this video at such a perfect time, ive been considering switching to healthier alternatives to regular coffee, im gonna try this adaptogen coffee! i had no idea these things existed until now.. thank you for all your advices!!
Listen to her she's 1000% correct...My life has changed drastically since I've been eating healthier...I kicked wasted fast food carbs to the curb forever!
Can you address four sigmatic and its lead content warnings.
Anna K wow! Im so sorrry about how u feel i hope your symptoms get better soon
Dr. Mona, promote the products you use and believe in. Have a blessed weekend
Eric Rebhan 💛🙏🏼 that’s what i always do. Thank you!
I enjoy these kinds of videos as well because they are very helpful and I gain more knowledge.
So informative! More videos like this please.
Thank you so much for this video. I have been struggling for a few years now with hormonal imbalance. I will definitely incorporate these suggestions into my daily diet routine and see how it works out. You have definitely gotten yourself a new subscriber!! 💕
Any change for you?
I used to get extreme cravings before my period. I followed my best friend's advice to load up on kale salads a few days before my cycle and it worked for the last 2 months! She said her mom told her who's grandmother told her but we don't know why it works🤦🏽♀️
Do you know why that might work for us?
Hi! Thank you for this video! What adaptogens or herb would you recommend for low cortisol in the mornings? Can you please make a video about your own hypothyroidism experience & a video all about dairy alternatives like what cheese is good etc..
Licorice, Ginseng, Ashwagandha, and Rhodiola are great herbs for low cortisol
For how long should I try a low carb (not refined carb as you said) in order to see a changes in hormones?
I would love to see a ‘what I consume in a day’ regarding hormone imbalance!! Thank you xoxo
I love your video’s but I have noticed a few people on TH-cam not pronouncing the T in their words. I do not know why. Do not change anything that does it work for you. You are amazing!!! Just thought I would point this out.
I love your videos! Love that you are detailed about the information you present. I also appreciate your personal opinion about products, ingredients, etc. Keep up the good work. I really appreciate you! : )
why so many people are against drinking milk, its to inform you that the benefits are yet to discover. its got amazing effects on human health.
I have hypothyroidism and I am 23 years old. Can you do a more informative video on healing your thyroid? Or any tips you may have!
I needed this SO much! You’re the best, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
I like this video format. I took a bunch of notes and can’t wait to implement these foods into my diet
I appreciate your transparency. I don’t mind if doctors partner with a drug or supplement company, but I want to know if they are.
Thank you do much for making this. I wad literally going to go back to my doctor about a specific pain that I have been having. I think it's too personal to post publicly but hopefully incorporating some of these tips will help. Thank you so much
I enjoyed videos like this as well. A balance of this kind plus 'What you eat in a day' is a good aim as some ppl like the personally side but this was helpful to a wider audience. 💃
Love this! Thank you for all the recommendations can’t wait to try it all 💓
This was amazing! Thank you so much. I feel like I have someplace to start!
I noticed on the mushroom sigmatic website, they have a prop 65 lead warning, does that concern you?
Don't worry about prop65.
Lead is in everything. FDA approves a very small amount of lead in products because there is no way to remove lead, since it's a natural occurring in everything.
i tried four sigmatic, i thought it was overpriced and the taste wasn't enjoyable. i tried sweetening it, just powdery and ...not ideal.
Vi I’m sorry to hear that! :( But of course it’s not for everyone
I enjoy it...however I agree..over priced!
More expensive but benefits absolutely worth it. You get used to the taste, I really enjoy my daily cup, it took a few cups tho.
They have a ground coffee version
Do u drink four sigmatic bc u like to drink coffee or do u drink it for the adaptogenic benefits?
Hi. I made. Egg plant Lasagna. The other day It was real good

Hey 👋 Thanks for uploading another awesome video and for inspiring me to make my own TH-cam channel! Your the best! Lots of love from Canada 🇨🇦
Nice
Can you make a video interviewing an expert about fibroids and how they can be treated without having to get surgery done on them. Like the natural way. Because my mom is suffering from that and I believe that there are natural options out there without having to get surgery on them.
I also would love more information of natural ways to tackle fibroids !
Dairy makes me breakout A LOT. I avoid it so that I don't get acne. 😬☺
Great vid!! I needed all these tips! U look amazing in vid!! Also I like your background!!! I saw on an ibs Instagram site(I have severe ibs) that ashwaganda should b avoided? Ibs is weird. It's trial n error a lot2c what u can eat! I love the thyme+fenel tips!! I also need the cortisol advice. Mine soars with fight flight response overactive. I was diagnosed with a hormonal imbalance yrs ago but told no info at all about it. I had pms cured with vit b6hi daily dose!! Now my thyroid is off! Thank u4this vid! U look so happy +relaxed in it. Hi Doc I would love for you to make a video regarding menopausal weight gain in the stomach area. A natural suggestion would be greatly appreciated
Hi Mona, I live in LA and I found your videos one day out of the blue, thank you so much for all your advice! Since watching your videos I’ve switched to a plant based diet and I’m obsessed with food combining! I drink a green smoothie everyday and I just wanna day thanks for putting this info out there! I feel a difference and I’m just so thankful. Love your videos!! Xoxox
Juan Carlos Polanco this made my morning! Really I’m so happy for you ☺️☺️☺️ amazing
@@DrMonaVand I had a question will Ashwagandha help women who have Pcos?
This was so good 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thanks for your transparency - it kept me from “changing the channel.” Helpful info!
Dr. Wand can we take ashwagandha when u dont have a thyroid? My mom had her thyroid removed due to thyroid cancer. I want to help her because her hormones are imbalanced. She is moody and depressed.
Thank you for all the information, you are such inspiration for those of us trying to better our bodies.
Thank you for all this helpful information I have just ordered most of your recommendations xx
Ty!
Beans, Tofu, seitan, eggs
Much needed!! Thank you!!🧡✨
Hi thank you so much for all your videos and information.
I love these videos as much if not more then the what you eat in a day so keep them coming.
Also I am on a Candida cleanse and learning a lot about this, could you please do a more in-depth video on this. Thank you xx
Even milk kefir is bad? There’s so many raves about kefir but I’m still unsure because it uses cow’s milk.
I think gluten only affects hormones when it's associated with an autoimmune reaction/intolerance. Because then your body attacks itself because it sees the gluten as a threat and damages the intestines so you can't properly synthesize estrogen.
Loved this! Please do a contraception drug video - and tips on getting off it!
Absolutely loved this video! Thank you for all the information :)
Can I take the mix while breastfeeding?
Great content! Thank you. I enjoyed the format and info you shared.
Really liked this! Definitely more helpful for me than what I eat in a day videos
Just a suggestion, have you ever thought about making a spanisch version channel or videos ( subtitles or translated )? Being in LA should it be easier, and so that your good messages and info can reach more people. In my opinion it would be worthy. 😊
