Yeah, when I get to recording my drifting tutorial I may mention using rain as a way to get comfortable with how everything feels. Thanks for watching man!
Appreciate hearing that man, I wanted to be as concise as possible with this one while still covering all the cars I felt should be showcased. I've tried drifting the Nightshade before but the car has so much body roll which makes it way more difficult to drift at speed. It's got the power but it's just too hard to initiate and keep sideways in my opinion.
Yeah you're right, the Gauntlet Classic is another decent drift car. In my opinion its only really good for lower-speed drifts, at higher speeds the drivetrain acts pretty weird and it's hard to keep sideways.
The Declasse Vigero was my first car and my favorite car i have now is my Karin 190z and i loved them both for drifting! I've also I alot of these cars at one point and they're all pretty good!
The faction custom (lowrider) doesn't have those weird collision bugs, has more engine power and is slidier because it is lower than the regular faction, also it is a bennys car so it is really cool.
Woah. This is really interesting and awesome video. And useful also. And what do you mean by "Drift upgrades"? Does it adds lowered suspensions to that list and NO any of spoiler upgrades to the drift car? Also where are that Ken Block's drift car, which known as Declasse Drift Tampa? And will be Benefactor Panto capable enough to be drift car too? (Mini-drift-car, LOL)
Drift upgrades means pretty much any and all power upgrades, NO bulletproof tires and NO spoiler, and a set of SUV or Muscle tires. Suspension doesn't have a very large effect but going as low as possible helps. The Declasse Drift Tampa is AWD which unfortunately can't be drifted properly in GTA 5 due to the car's physics. As for the Panto, I haven't given in a shot yet but it could be another good one lol
SUV and Muscle tires are known to have the least grip over bumpy surfaces. When you stance your vehicle it is way more sensitive to bumps, so having SUV or Muscle tires helps increase driftability slightly. Not a huge difference but something that can be done to make drifting as easy as possible.

Listen again to the tutorial - you're tapping the handbrake in-between 2nd and 3rd gear, so turn your game volume up and listen for when that happens. From there, it's a long process of getting comfortable with entries and re-engaging the speed boost throughout the course of the corner.
I checked a ton of these comments and seen a bunch of cars recommened in videos and comments. But not once have I seen anything on the 811. Bit expensive, but stance it and it handles similarly to the Sultan RS, Banshee 900R, and Shwartzer. I highly recommend giving it a try and possibly make a video about it.
You read my mind man! Recently had the chance to test the 811 and I definitely agree, probably one of the weirdest drift cars in the game due to its AWD drivetrain but if you manage to control it, it can drift really well! The 811, along with some other cars I've tested, will be featured in a follow-up video I'm actually working on while writing this comment haha.

I'm sorry for all the questions but for the mid drive speed boost drift do you also use the handbrake alone while drifting like not in the double clutch
Exactly what Fr3al said. If the car picks up too much speed and you're about to shift up and straighten out, let off the throttle and re-engage the mid-drive speed boost. Should give you the kick you need to carry it through a longer corner. Super hard to explain but I wanna do a tutorial on this in the future with a controller cam so you can actually see what I'm doing.

The stock Banshee is definitely a good drift car, but IMO the 900R is worlds better. The Banshee's speed boost is crazy strong and the car has enough power, but to me, just doesn't feel like it wants to stay in the slide and is pretty twitchy and hard to control. Lowering the car (in a mod shop) before you stance it actually helps out drifting a bit. Won't make a huge difference but will help a bit with car control and can increase overall slidy-ness.

Hi ! I switched from PS3 drifting to PC and I gotta say all the cars are awesome. Im just wondering about the drift upgrades, can you film a video on that topic(how to upgrade a car to drift specs)? BTW you earned a sub, keep it up!
I plan on making a more detailed video on GTA 5 drifting very soon, and that will show how to upgrade/tune a car specifically for drifting. Thanks for the support!
A lot of the cars in the game can be drifted without stancing. All it takes is knowing the game's handling model (how rear wheel drive cars handle, same for all wheel drive cars and the moment the lose traction), mid drive speed boost (clutch kicking), weight transfer, and left foot braking. A lot of the cars in the game can be drifted if you attack corners like a rally car driver doing a pendulum turn. Everyone seems to be under the impression that the only way you can drift in this game is by shooting out the suspension and that drifting means constantly sliding and neither are true. You don't have to constantly slide all the time to be drifting and you don't need to stance to drift. Sure, not standing your car makes sliding a bit harder but it's that much more satisfying when you pull it off. My go to cars are the Futo, Warrener, Sultan, Armored Kuruma and Banshee 900R. If you can mid drive speed boost with all wheel drive cars the Sultan and Armored Kuruma are a lot of fun.
I'd say for the best chances of drifting (especially at higher speeds as shown in the video) stancing your car is extremely effective - in my drift tuning guide video I show a clip of me drifting the Schwartzer with and without stancing it, and the difference is night and day. I never said it was the only way to drift, I just thought to mention it given that it kind of "unlocks" the drifting potential of a lot of cars.
dont forget after u shoot to drop the car u can also kick the tires to drop it two more time so that the wheel is at a angle so it has more chamber meaning hit more angles while drifing.
For the majority of the cars on this list I'd strongly advise you not to do this, kicking the fenders makes the car way to slippery and prone to oversteer meaning you can't hold a drift without spinning out. For cars that have a ton of trouble getting sideways this is an option, but for the most part just stancing them is enough.

StevieWunderKid thank you for the reply. I’m on Xbox too, anyway I could tag along for a sesh sometime?
Of course, I try to host meets as much as I can. Join my Discord server, I post all my meets in there if you wanna join!
Funny how none of the JDMS were there except the futo
The Karin 190z and Annis ZR380 were there too...
@@StevieWunderKid Oh.. yeah but what about the jester classic and the elegy retro custom. I thought they were supposed to be drift cars xD
I guess they're supposed to be, but in GTA they don't drift lol. The Elegy Retro is AWD with tons of grip so it doesn't drift at all, and the Jester Classic has the weird handling flags and just doesn't have the power to drift at higher speeds.
After the first time you let go of the gas use the handbrake and re engage do you need to do it while drifting or just use the handbrake after I'm sorry I worded it weird
You're okay man! But yes, the key is repeating the boost as you're in the drift.
@@StevieWunderKid omg u responded tysm
I definitely believe this list like the back of my goddamn hand😂👏
That's great to hear bro, thanks for checking the video out!
As someone who played a lot of other racing games and etc, I can say the cars that the GTA versions are based off, are really good ones for drift.
Yeah that's true man!
i see tofu delivery boi i click
Takumi would be proud!
thank u for ur time and effort u put in this video I will share this with all my friends since we’re beginning to get into the Gta car scene
So glad I could help you guys out, thanks for watching and supporting me!
I was drifting with a Roosevel XD
I've seen a couple drifters in the community using the Roosevelt so you're not alone there lol, I definitely need to give it a shot!
@@StevieWunderKid Alr yuh it’s manageable and that’s what ima use now when I’m bored in director mode and I haven’t been in online and I have some good cars for drifting and soon I’ll be able to get back online but yuh definitely try the Roosevelt
@@Toast_Charms-lm6mr Will do man, thanks for the tip!
Always quality content! Gotto try that khamelion now
Thanks man! The Khamelion is definitely a drift car worth trying out, I just wish I had known about it sooner lol
StevieWunderKid I’m going to get tonight, have a lil spin! I remember from your last upload you were into synth try timecop1983 if you haven’t already that is! I’d love to see wat you come up with ✌️
Have fun man! I have listened to a bit of Timecop and love his music!
I would be drifting still if my Xbox 360 didn’t get the red ring :(
Also do u hate it when it’s suppose to be a drifting race but that one guy plays it normally
I had xbox360 but i got PS4 and My Xbox scratched all disks
Dang that sucks man :/ hopefully you can get it fixed soon! And yeah gotta love being in a drift lobby and someone is going for their best lap time 😂
I got a red ring this morning...the vindaloo I had lastnight was lethal
20:27 Banshee 900R, just put a drift wing spoiler on it, and some weight in the front... bam, best drift car
You don't actually need those things to drift it, in fact, it probably drifts better without the wing.
I tought the ruiner is one of these cars:(
I even upgraded it with max upgrade.

@@StevieWunderKid oh u replied new sub and also sorry I didn't saw it.
No worries, thanks for subbing man!
Thanks bro I was looking so hard for a vídeo like this and you made it ❤
So glad I could help you man!
I can o ly drift in forza and nfs
Give drifting in GTA a shot, it's fun as hell!
It’s funny that my 3rd car is number 5 for drift! I subbed excellent content here. 😉
Appreciate that man! More coming soon :)
You can remove bulletproof tires from your car with the iFruit app for smartphone. You can also change the color of stock rims with that.
I knew about the stock rim color but not about being able to remove BP tires with that, thanks!
Very informative vid, good video👍
Thank you man, glad it helped!
Really nice vid!
Appreciate it man!
@@StevieWunderKid u right n it can make ya care smoke at the engine
This is so good!
Much appreciated man!
I really like your videos keep up the good work
Appreciate that man, thanks for the support!
Way better than Blacksheep Tv. Thanks man
Anytime man, glad I could help!
solid content my guy, +1 sub
Glad you enjoyed it man, thanks for subbing!
This is a very well made video. You deserve more subs my guy🔥🙌 earned a new sub!
Thanks for checking out the video and subbing my guy :)
consider revisiting the Pariah its on the harder side to drift but can handle some crazy drifts
Yeah, I included the Pariah in the small list at 16:41, but I'll probably cover this one and some others more in a follow-up video.
Such a well made video. Wow dude 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Appreciate hearing that man, thanks for watching :)
Your drifting skills is beyond me
Hahaha thank you man!
