You'll probably notice that some of the cars covered in this video can no longer be purchased; this is because, in their never-ending quest for money, Rockstar has removed them from the in-game websites in an attempt to sell them back to players through Shark Cards or GTA+ subscriptions. Really sucks that it's on us content creators to deal with Rockstar's crappy decisions.
TLDR; Rockstar got greedy and removed the ability to purchase the Albany Alpha, Dewbauchee Massacro & Massacro Racecar, and the Dewbauchee Rapid GT & Rapid GT Cabrio. The Karin Futo was removed as well, but luckily this car can still be stolen off of the street.
Methods to get a hold of these non-purchasable cars include:
- Buying it off of a friend through the LS Car Meet (next-gen only)
- Buying it from the LS Car Meet test drive (all platforms)
- Winning it off of the casino podium (all platforms)
- Finishing the prize ride challenges (all platforms)
- Purchasing an auto shop customer car (all platforms)
- Simeon's & Luxury Autos car dealerships (all platforms)
- Vinewood Car Club (next-gen only) - this requires a GTA+ subscription, which you should **not buy** in my opinion.
The rest of the cars mentioned in the video can be purchased from the websites like normal (thank god). Hope this helps y'all.

Try both versions of the massacro! Both are amazing, but this video doesnt really highlight how different they are. The Race version is consistent as hell and is probably the best drift car in the game, but the regular one has a wildly aggressive speed boost and it excels at very high speed drifitng. Have fun!
@@AOpsyche After drifting both versions for quite a while, I can confidently say they're really not that different. The Racecar version feels slightly more planted, but its barely noticeable. Either version will provide pretty much the exact same drifting experience, so your decision should mainly be based off of cost/looks.
@@StevieWunderKid thats interesting! I've had both on low grips on both since tuners first got added (using merge glitch), and my perception is that the difference is worth noting. I think the race feels heavier, so i agree with ya there. But otherwise, i notice the biggest difference in the 2nd gear speed boost of both: i feel the race tends to break out the back end more consistently, where the regular will feel a bit grippier and tend to need a little more handbrake to initiate in 2nd gear and the power delivery is not as consistent. I feel this makes it good at high speed because it can lightly drift in 2nd gear while maintaining a lot of grip to accelerate into its 3rd gear. I've come to this conclusion from a lot of side by side testing, and confirmed my perceptions today. I didnt mean to be controversial, i just assumed we had similar observations.
I thought the differences were pretty noticable at the few locations i checked this morning, but the figure 8 in front of weazel plaza exhibits really well the difference in 2nd gear initiation for me.
Curious if anyone else has similar observations!
@@StevieWunderKid in my mind, the regular feels almost like a hybrid between the race version and a rapid gt on low grips.
I love all these cars, only one I haven’t tried is the Alpha, but the rest are my go to cars for anything cuz of how fun they are

The Ocelot Virtue is surprisingly really good at drifting. It E-brake drifts like a dream and has insane acceleration.

The beater dukes with drift tires drifts pretty good, was trying to make a general build and was experimenting lol
It's another cool underrated drift car for sure. I find the OG Dukes slides even better because it's got more power - give that a rip when you get a chance!

Max engine, turbo, and transmission, stock suspension, low-grip tires, and stance. If you want you can max out the armor, and leave the brakes stock. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Great video. How do you get low grips on the Albany or the gauntlet
You have to equip them at the mod shop in the LS Car Meet!
I'v been messing around with the Turismo classic and the drag bike both with low grips. between them both the drag bike is a blast if you never tried it
I know the Turismo Classic is an absolute beast of a drift car, but had no clue about the Hakuchou - kinda crazy that there are bikes that drift in this game lol

@StevieWunderKid which car would you recommend the most for high speed drifts? I just started with the banshee and i think ive got low speed stuff down pretty quickly though it can be hard to control at higher speeds. Ill get the futo gtx to practice at high speeds as well but I want something more sporty, even if it takes a little more skill. The rt3000 looks pretty sick too

My list of the slow and fast drifting cars:
Slow - redwood gauntlet, futo, futo gtx, remus
Fast - banshee900, rapid gt, dinka rt3000
(Did not include albany alpha, dewbauchee massacro bc rockstar) list is from my experience and what i want from gta drifting.
Seems to match up pretty well with what I've observed while testing these cars. However, I'll say the Redwood Gauntlet is pretty fast - that car excels at higher-speed drifts since it's so powerful.

Fortunately most of the cars showcased in this video are still accessible in-game, but some of my favorites (the Massacro and Rapid GT) were removed. It sucks man :(
I made a really clean cipher and put low grips on it. And I love the car.
The Cypher's a decent drift car but is very snappy and isn't as smooth as the cars shown in this video. But hey, if you enjoy sliding it, that's all that matters!

Whats the difference between the redwood gauntlet and the regular one? Same for the Massacro is it any different? Except looks
The Massacro and Massacro Racecar are very similar when it comes to power and handling, so pick whichever one looks better in your opinion. As for the Redwood Gauntlet and OG Gauntlet though, they are very different - the Redwood Gauntlet is much faster / more powerful, and it's got a bit more grip. I'd choose the Redwood Gauntlet over the OG one for drifting purposes, but the OG Gauntlet can drift decently if you still wanna try it.

The other improvements such as the neon skirts, tire smoke... They affect the handling of the car and weights
Car weights never change, regardless of modifications. And the traction difference caused by stancing / low-grip tires almost completely negates the effects of other additions like neons, bumpers, wheels, etc. - I've looked into this a lot before and can confidently say they won't really effect anything, especially on the cars in this video.

My absolute favorite is the HSW Arbiter GT.
Yeah it is pretty fun, but is extremely hard-to-handle in my opinion. That, and it's not accessible on all systems.
Most of these cars I do not have access to besides the massacro and the Rapid GT and the Alpha and one question, is the Banshee(stock) have almost the same power as the 900r?
The Futo is also accessible in story mode as well, give that a look. The original Banshee is similar in terms of power, but is extremely twitchy and handles way worse than the 900R variant.
Don’t remember if it was in a previous vid but anyone who hasn’t tried the og penumbra with low grips is missing out it’s so easy to drift slow and fast and it has some pretty good customisation for a street car
Nah man, the original Penumbra is hot garbage for drifting in my opinion lol. Way too heavy, absolutely no power, and the suspension's super soft so you have to put in a ton of work to get it sliding in the first place - it drifts nowhere near as well as the cars shown in this video.

I’m not really In the gta drifting community but I haven’t spotted any comments about the warrener HKR I know it’s a truck. But it’s the only car I’ve tried to drift In this game that just felt right lol

Nah man people love the Warrener HKR - it's relatively cheap and super easy to drift, so it's great for beginners. However, it's extremely slow and hard to have fun drifting at medium to high speeds, which is why I left it out of this video.
Man Tell about the annis zr380 apocalypse. For me is the best car for Drift em gtao. Very powerful and controllable. And don't oversteering easily.
I've featured it in another video of mine covering the best JDM drift cars. Overall though, it's not one of the best due to it's soft suspension, lack of steering angle, and extremely high cost (plus it's got all the ugly armor).
I’ve always thought once you know how to reverse entry and you use that technique while drifting it’s hard to spin out if yk what I mean
Indeed, once you're able to use the normal brakes to help out in high-angle situations then you'll have a way better grasp of how to prevent spin-outs.

The Sultan - can be gotten for free at Benny's Workshop whatever it's called, no modification at benny but here is what you do so you set for drifting:
Low-Grip tyres: yes
Spoiler: Low (First Option after default none spoiler) Suggested (yes, better drifts)
Suspension: Max Low Level 3-4
Brakes Level: Default Stock
Engine: Max Level 4 (suggested, slow is not as bad but it is reccomended for high speeds)
Transition: Max Level 4
Turbo-tuning: Yes
And you are ready to go. Can barely spin out, needs a bit powerful turns (You will get experience and see what I mean), having the brake pressed keeping it more controlled, having longer drift, Has good control depending how you use it. Like if you agree on this car. Thank you

I wouldn't say the Sultan is one of the best drift cars - AWD cars are inherently much harder to drift compared to RWD cars. However, I do have a separate series of videos covering the best AWD drift cars specifically, and I have featured the Sultan in there!
hey man i have a question, do you do stock brakes so that you can mid drive speed boost more efficiently without actually braking too much and stopping the car?
Yeah, but for a different reason. We don't use the brakes when engaging the mid-drive speed boost (at least in RWD cars) - we only use the handbrake for that. The brakes are kept stock so you can use them occasionally in high-angle drifts without slowing the car down too much.
What exactly is a mid drive speed boost and how do you do it?

How do you maintain those longs drifts without spinning out of oversteering? (I'm using the Annis ZR350 RX7)

The ZR350 is definitely a tough car to learn with, especially if you're a beginner - switch to the Futo/Futo GTX if you want something more stable to practice with. Hopefully that tutorial is helping!
Add modifications that are on the rear of the car. It will reduce oversteer. Also reduce the power a bit

If you session hop a lot, and spend time towards lower Los Santos, eventually it will spawn. There's other options that might be helpful for getting it too - check the pinned comment!

They did, yes, but you should be able to find it on the street. Should spawn pretty frequently.

You can, but you'll have to manually stance it with a weapon. Check out the tuning guide linked in the description for more info!

While it might be good for very slow and small drifts, it's not nearly as capable for high-speed drifting as the cars shown in this video.

someone please help me. i got the rt3000 and i'm just tryna do the same drifts that he was doin in the start of the video. i've got the exact same upgrades. but that first left turn he does, every time i attempt it i just uncontrollably keep turning left and eventually spin out. i cant get anywhere near as close as the angle he was getting on the car. if someone knows anything abt this plz help
As I talked about during that intro clip, I have a bunch of helpful tutorials which should help answer most of your questions. You need to have quite a bit of experience/skill to pull that entry off, but those guides should point you in the right direction.

what is stance? how do you apply it?
Stance is basically lowering your vehicle, which in the process reduces it's traction significantly. Check out my drift tuning guide for more info!
Y’all sleeping on the maibatsu penumbra with no grip
The Penumbra is garbage lmao; it's super underpowered, way too heavy, and has too much body roll - super hard to even get it sideways in the first place.
Annis rz 380 apocalypse with low tires
It's pretty good, but feels overly bouncy, doesn't hold a lot of steering angle, and is much more expensive than most of the cars on this list.

Both of the Futo's referenced in this video are great for beginners. Or try out one of your cars with the Drift Tuning upgrade!
Hi @StevieWunderKid. I have been debating for a while now whether I should upgrade my drift car to the Karin Futo Gtx or the Dinka rt3000. I am using the regular futo but it doesn't seem to have that much power and it is not very fast. I still can't make up my mind because both of them seem like a very good car to use. Which one do you think is better for an intermediate level drifter?
I'm not who you @ but would recommend going for dinka it has more gas power the futo gtx I bought hoping it would be the high tear drift car but it feel like the regular futo to me.

For an intermediate drifter, I'd recommend going with the Karin Futo GTX as @asleep_piquancy said. It's got a decent boost in power over the original Futo, plus it holds about as much steering angle. To make full potential of the RT3000 you'll need a lot of skill; by the sounds of it, I'm not sure that's a good fit for you yet. Hope this helps!

What about the Declasse Drift Tampa?
This video released way before drift tuning - at that time, the Drift Tampa wasn't a very good drift car with stance/low-grips.

They've removed it from the website so you can't buy it anymore. You'll have to find it on the street, or check the pinned comment for other possible solutions.

It's a mix now - some are only available in story mode, some are only available in Online.

The cars shown in the video lol; while 4 of them have been removed from the websites, I do have methods for getting them in the pinned comment. The OG Sultan is decent but it's AWD, therefore it's much harder to drift compared to the cars shown in this video.

Do you drift on keyboard n mouse or controller?
Controller always, it gives you way more control over the car since you can modulate the throttle better and easily press the handbrake. It's a way better experience overall.

Funny you mention the game audio in the background, people have actually asked me to leave it turned up slightly so they can hear the sound of the engine (to listen to how consistent each car is with the mid-drive speed boost) - I can understand how it could be a bit obnoxious though.

Where can i buy normal Karin Futo ?
You can't buy it anymore thanks to Rockstar's dumb decisions. I've left alternate methods for getting it in the pinned comment.
What I'd like is to see why when I use the tuner cars or other vehicles why when low grips are on the car is undrivable dragging tires across the road. I only have one vehicle that actually drifts while its counterpart also drags the tires everywhere tho it's usable if you don't push gas all the way down on the trigger. I'm talking about ken blocks iconic mustang the hoonicorn/ drift Tampa which can be pressed all the way down on gas and releasing gas to control how.much power is put into cornering the counterpart is the drift Yosemite. But for me the drift Tampa is maxed out just with street tires and low grips only vehicle I've been able to use and do Tokyo drifts around cars light posts. Parking lots gas stations.
Some cars definitely have less traction to start with, which is why they can be tougher to drive normally with low-grip tires - especially cars like the Drift Yosemite that you mentioned. But for most other cars, including the ones shown in this video, low-grips don't drastically affect the driving experience at all and still retain enough grip to get the power down and keep drifts controlled. Try out some other cars with low-grips and I guarantee your thoughts will change a bit.

I can't find the alpha in legendarys
Rockstar just removed the Alpha from the website yesterday as part of the new DLC. If you're on next-gen consoles and a friend owns it, that's currently the only way you can get it. Sorry man :(
I tried the first one with all upgrades that said on screen i tried did the same drifting that was shown but i kept spinning out. 😔 Is something not right? Even i tried the other cars they kept spinning out.
Building the right drift car is only 1/2 of the process, you need to be quite skilled in handling your car to link together the kind of drifts shown in each clip. Check out my drifting tutorials (linked in the description) for more insight on that process!

Arbiter gt with haos on low grips is the way to go imo
With that setup, the car is nearly impossible to drive in a straight line. That much power, that little grip, and the toe values for the Arbiter being so messed up, means that it's gonna be hard to handle higher-speed drifts. I guess for lower-speed slides it could be pretty fun, but it probably won't offer much more than the cars showcased in this video.
@StevieWunderKid looking at statistics it's not that appealing, let alone you can't stance it... but the powerslides it does at decent speeds, it's one of my favourite cars on lowgrips. I dunno if having the underglow on it, helps that much with handling like claimed online but my ones got it on 🤷♂️

Just slap low grips on from the auto shop, I use a spoiler and I use like sport or race brakes. Focus on throttle control and you are literally an animal.
I think you're missing the point of this video lol. I'm doing my best to cover the overall 10 BEST cars in the game - maybe the reason everybody drifts these cars is because they're actually the best! Crazy, right?
It sounds like you've got more experience drifting in GTA 5, but this video is tailored to beginners or people who don't know the game as well as you or I. Believe me, I've tested all of the cars you mentioned, and while they're all good, they all have significant drawbacks. I'll try to fit those in on a full drift car tier list, which I hope to make soon.

I feel like they may be considered the best because they are more on the easy side to drift but not the most fun.
I can see what you’re saying that maybe those cars are on the more difficult side but I’d be interested to hear what drawbacks you think those cars have, for me they just keep heavy power through drifts to the point where it’s more about throttle control and steering and less on braking control. At least for the v-str, hellfire, GTT, zx and mamba, the others are not as great.
Although I did forget to mention the verlierer as well. That’s a banger of a vehicle. Honestly throwing low grips on the tyrus is also a crazy one.
There’s just so many rwd vehicles that are wild and deserve a mention!!! Consider making a video with more advanced drift vehicles :))
@@hashslingingslabber859 In my opinion, the cars mentioned in the video are the most consistent and fun - but again, I'm trying to strike a balance between cars I enjoy and most other players will enjoy too (while also offering reasonable customization and cost). As for the cars you mentioned:
Gauntlet Hellifire - suspension is too soft, it rolls too much and isn't very smooth.
Vigero ZX - fairly twitchy, regardless of whether you've done the HSW upgrade.
Dominator GTT - almost made my Top 10 list, but because it's a little grippy and snappy I kept it off.
Dominator ASP - feels great but holds barely any angle, oversteers too easily.
Mamba - kinda forgot about this one to be honest, but it's got a lot of body roll and isn't that smooth.
GP1 - way too hard to handle for most drifters; rear-mounted engine makes it way too snappy.
Shlagen GT - again, way too much grip and is therefore very snappy, despite having good power.
V-STR - too little rear grip and doesn't hold much angle at all, so oversteers super easily.
Visione - similar story to the GP1, plus the cost is ridiculous.
Making a top 10 list like the one for this video is extremely hard since it will never satisfy everybody, but hopefully you can now see why the cars you mentioned weren't featured.
@@StevieWunderKid I appreciate you taking the time to evaluate each of the cars I mentioned. Although I feel like I have a different experience while drifting with some of the cars I mentioned.
I do agree with you assessment of the gp1, definitely on the more difficult side to drift it’s hard to maintain the slide with it. As well as the shlagan and visione.
However the hellfire is possibly my favorite go to for drifting. I personally find it one of the easier cars to drift as it has a lot of power and torque which for me allows to do mostly just throttle control in order to maintain a slide and only need to hand break to change directions quicker.
The vigero zx I feel like is only slightly more grippy than the hellfire with a little less torque as well but still slides very easy.
The GTT to me is one of the more slippery vehicles in the game with low grips on. You can double clutch third gear and burn out. The only other car to do that for me was the comet s2 before the debuff.
The asp isn’t the best drift car but to me once you learn how to swing a car that becomes a very consistent drift car.
The mamba is just overall slept on. Such a great car.
Rip to many of the great drift cars tho with this recent patch. Idk wtf that’s all about.
