This is a wonderful video and made connecting the light bar very easy. The instructions I received with the light bar were convoluted and came in duplicate without clear guidance on which set of instructions superseded which. Once again CJ Pony Parts came through for me.
Thank you for this very informative video. The toughest part I thought is separating the seat back with the convertible covering. Very easy install on my 2010.
I just installed mine today on my 2011 GT500 and it was easy with the installation instructions and this video. I couldn't get the seat back to detach from the convertible top, so just lifted it up (carefully) and moved it up and slide it back just under the convertible cover. Beyond that, the only other advice I can offer is be very careful with the nut used to secure the bracket to the car; even with a cloth in place, I managed to have one nut fall into the crevice below. Thankfully had a magnet retrieval tool and was able to pull it out.
Thank you for this installation video. It made installing the bar onto my 2013 Stang relatively painless… other than having to drill holes into my body of the car. 😩😝😅
Great DIY video it looks like an easy install the part that's a little scary is the drilling the holes into the trim pieces, other than that it's all good.
Purchased one with doom light for my mustang. This shows the wiring for brake light - but how do you do the wiring for the doom light? Could not find a video.
Is there a video showing the installation of the light bar for the 93 and earlier fox body convertible mustang? Haven’t been able to find one. If not can this video be a usable guide outside of the panel removal part?
I have a 2002 Mustang convert. Black leather interior and same bright cherry red exterior paint as the rig in your demo video. What color bar did you use for the installation? It seems to go nicely with the color of the inside panels. The *midnight black* from CDC looks REALLY DARK and I am concerned it will look darker than my black leather interior. Again..............what color bar did you use for your video? Thanks
We do offer one for the 90-93 cars but we do not have one to do an install on at this time. If we get a convertible in the future we will definitely consider it!
Whats the point if it won't help you from splattering your brains all over the pavement when the car flips over? seriously why would you sell this product if it offers no roll over protection?
I got a "styling bar" just for added rigidity. It also looks nice and maybe adds very slight roll over protection, but obviously is not nhra legal roll bar as it's not 4 pt or welded. It's really only 1.25" steel bar with hard foam surrounding it wrapped in vinyl.

No switch to keep light from coming on when top is up?

I have never installed one on a fox body but I would think the process would be somewhat different.
