I sent this to my daughter to encourage her teaching my granddaughter how to pray and be patient even if it is something my daughter does not understand. I see a great gift in my granddaughter who is only 3. She is one in picture. She is a very beautiful Sprit and Soul. Thank you so much for this video Brother David. I see Holy Spirit releasing to a lot of people. I have my prayer language. I do want to thank you for asking us to commit to the 15 min challenge. I have increased to 30 min and sometimes a lot longer. Once I feel the shift of Holy Spirit I do not want to leave. He longs to talk to us. Oh my goodness I did not realize until that challenge how much Holy Spirit longs to talk to us. He is even developing other gifts in me. I have looked up the Biblical part and been confirmed by 3 other prophets that were not in the conversation at the time. But before I release a Word I am very very careful to ask Holy Spirit if He wants that Word released. Sometimes He does not. I always obey. The very last thing I want to do is grieve Holy Spirit. That is only thing in life I worry about doing. Nothing else do I worry about because Jesus has it all covered by the Grace of God. I just Never want to grieve Precious Holy Spirit. He is so Precious to me.
Wow. I’ve spent months of trying here and there to pray in tongues and it never really worked. I was expecting this video to be just like the other ones I’ve seen on this subject, but at the end of the video, David’s explanation changed how I was viewing this gift and I just began to pray in tongues. This truly is a miracle. Praise God! This is an enormous growth in faith
@@demonslayer7537 LOOK at the context in verse 6. It is how you handle the word of God. In order to get the truth you must ASK ask, seek, knock. Don't keep giving out the word of God when you discover they do not accept it. This has NOTHING TO DO WITH SIGN gifts. The holy spirit gives the gifts as HE WILLS. Therefore the Matthew verse and the 1 Corinthian verse can not contradict each other. Follow the context and content. Giving that which is holy to dogs and pearl before swine is talking about the word of God and People who do not accept it.
@@jerrypotter4137 I catch your drift but still, if one is still determined to get the gifts of the spirit it doesn't hurt to still ask for wisdom and knowledge and faith, since I just started taking my walk on the narrow path seriously I ask Him for wisdom, knowledge and a decent level of discernment. I understand that not everyone will have every single gift the Holy Spirit has to offer but still it doesn't hurt to ask.
@@demonslayer7537 YOU are Not ALLOWED to ask for a gift. Are you trying to take over the spirit's job? It's as HE WILLS. So YES it does hurt to ask. If you want the narrow path, which is Jesus himself, then you are expected to rightly divide the word of truth and show yourself approved unto God. Here's what you are missing; the title of the gift is THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE. it is NOT knowledge itself. Knowledge itself will never pass away but Paul tells you the the word of knowledge WILL pass away. Read 1corinth 12:8 The same goes for prophecy. It is the WORD OF PROPHECY. BOTH of those gifts were for delivering God's message which became the bible. The bible is finished. Also it is called the WORD OF WISDOM. So think about it. Those gifts do not exist anymore. You get one gift when you get converted and become born again. The gift is for serving the church. Paul says they are for SERVING ONE ANOTHER. The sign gifts in Mark 16:17-20 are for the apostles ONLY. They confirmed the word of God by showing signs to the unbelievers that they were from God and NOT false teachers. Do not confuse the sign gifts with the church gifts. All sign gifts are gone. And I bet you that you have no idea of what your gift is, because people like the guy who made this video, are lying frauds. He believes that you can lose your salvation. THAT IS HERESY. HE BLASPHEMES GOD. A descent level of discernment comes from KNOWING the word of God. That is the way to protect yourself from people like this. Because I've been teaching for 36 years, I can spot and smell these guys a mile away.

Bless you too brother David! I received the gift of tongues when I was 21 after going out for a run late at night. Weirdly when I got back to my rented duplex I thought I saw a white bird fly upward from behind the tree in the front yard, and then it was completely gone from my site. I had prayed the prayer of repentance and asked Jesus to be Lord of my life about 1 month before. I had started to go to a new church and they had mentioned the gifts.. Anyway, I walked into my living room and just felt compelled to start praying. There was an unusual feeling in my throat & jaw area, and my mind as I recall. I had a strange awareness that if I prayed out loud and allowed it, that a different language could, might, and eventually did get spoken from Me. LoL Such a Glorious time I had that night! I have been able to speak in tongues at will ever since. I'm now in my mid 60's and seem to do it mostly when I'm either overjoyed about something, or overly concerned about something. I guess now you have freed my mind to just enjoy the amazing comfort it brings me on a more daily basis. More like everyday clothes vs Sunday best ones. Honestly I thought it was for special occasions only. 😅😊❤ Thank you for saying Yes to Your calling brother David. You know the sad part is some church groups teach against tongues and claim it's gibberish and not of God ,and by so doing they are deceiving others . Then the scripture is clear on this topic ,but they still reject and deny it or speak against this amazing gift and prayer language.
Amen! This is so true! As I’ve begun to do this again, my spirit continues to feel lighter and the cognitive dissonance I’ve experienced from spiritual warfare seems to be breaking off slowly. I can feel the fear and confusion begin to break apart and I can sense relief slowly coming forth in my spirit again. All the pent up pain and heart ache of suppressed emotions is coming out. Tongues helps us fight against the weapons that form against us. It literally destroys them. I’m just now seeing and experiencing this. Wow.

So just WHO in the name of hell, are you praying to? God did not give you peace. The World did. Paul said that tongues would CEASE. They DID 2000 years ago. Your knowledge and understanding of scripture is horrible. The fact that you break the rules of tongue speaking proves that what you are doing is NOT from God. God will NOT violate his own word. ALL of the sign gifts were for the apostles for confirming the word of God. THAT "word" has been confirmed. It's called THE BIBLE. The word for, WORD, in the Greek, is LOGOS. It means specifically THE GODLY MESSAGE. It is not putting words together to form sentences as I am doing now. That would be the word, RHEMA. Therefore by the time the apostles died, scripture was finished and all the signs ceased; especially tongues which ceased 25 years before John died. Anyone who believes the sign gifts are still here, is saying that God is adding new revelation. THAT IS HERESY. This man in the video is a lying fraud and knows nothing of God's word. He violates it with every breath he takes. Every video he makes is about mysticism. Anyone's personal experiences are no way to validate scripture. God warns you not to use them or emotions. They are not founded on truth. He claims to teach HOW to speak in tongues. That is blasphemy. Tongues do not exist because they CEASED just like Paul said they would. They came from the OLD testament and the purpose for tongues never changed. There is only ONE verse that tells us what tongues were for, and to whom they were for, and why. Paul quotes it and says, "IN THE LAW". That is the Old testament. He quotes Isaiah 28:11. The purpose of tongues, earthly languages, were a condemnation sign against Israel for following after Pagan cultures and worshiping their gods and marrying into their cultures. God put them into captivity by the Assyrians. He did it again later through the Babylonians. Now Paul is warning the church at Corinth, that a third time was coming. IT WAS ROME. It's the WAR of 70 A.D. The Jews were scattered as James 1:1 says, and the purpose of tongues was fulfilled. They CEASED. Paul said that tongues were for a sign. Therefore every gift listed in Mark 16:17-18 are SIGN gifts. They not only confirmed God's spoken message through the apostles, but it proved that the apostles were from God, and not false teachers. Verse 14 says that Jesus rebuked the disciples for THEIR hardness of heart AND UNBELIEF. THEY were the unbelievers. Simple English. "Those that believe" are NOT common believers. Did YOU ever write scripture? Did YOU ever confirm the spoken word of God out of your own mouth? Did YOU ever drink something deadly or get bitten by a deadly snake with no harm whatsoever? So read Acts 1:2. Jesus gave ORDERS to the disciples. Under no circumstances is he giving Orders to people who are not there. Therefore it is NOT to common believers throughout time. Jesus told his disciples that if THEY asked for anything, he would do it for them. In English, it is called, Second person plural. Simple English. It is not to everyone to do what Jesus did. The apostles carried on with delivering God's message about his son. Hebrews 1:1-2. It does not say, the last days. The Greek is, The last of THESE days. It's the days in which God was speaking his word through his son, Jesus. The book of Revelation is the last book and it is the revelation of WHO Jesus is. Therefore anyone who thinks the sign gifts are still around, is saying that God is adding to his word. Where then are the books after God's confirmed message? They don't exist. Revelation 19:10. The Spirit, or purpose, of prophecy is the TESTIMONY OF JESUS. That's the Bible. Jesus said, " When the Spirit comes, he will testify of Me." That's the bible. Prophets don't exist. They are lying, self centered, self righteous frauds. The word of God is finished. We are to live by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God. We can not live by "every word" unless we HAVE every word. That's the Bible. STUDY to show yourself approved unto God.... Rightly dividing the word of truth. The Greek words for, "rightly dividing', are, CUT IT STRAIGHT. Grow in the grace AND knowledge of our Lord.

I came to this video because I had the idea I somehow “lost” my gift to speak in tongues. God gave me this gift when I was about 10 years (I’m now 19)old and I only used it once when I got it, my teenage years i rebelled against God, even went as far as to call myself an atheist for years despite having this encounter. After finding my way back to Christ I had this fear I was being punished for my wrong doings. But after this video I prayed and God didn’t “restore” my gift because it was never gone, but he drew my gift up from where I tried to bury it, when I pray in tongues I feel the calmest feeling to ever exist. I feel as tho God hears me directly, as if he’s right there in front of me. Anyways thank God for allowing me to find this video and allow me to rediscover my gift
Oh my God I was like practicing to praying in tongues and just saying what the Holy Spirit said to me to say and after I was thanking God for it and suddenly I was speaking in tongues i felt God presence like I ve never felt it before. This presence fill me up thank you pastor God really used you 🎉
True Patriot: God's will is that you study the bible and the bible says that tongues do NOT exist anymore because of what they were for. You need to read the two comments I gave to David and then respond to them. The bible tells you that you can not ask for a gift from God. The spirit gives them as HE WILLS. Stop with the "self serving attitude". The SIGN gifts do not exist and yet that is all people want. That's why they are so stupid and self righteous. Mark 16:20. The sign gifts were for CONFIRMING THE WORD OF GOD. God's word HAS BEEN CONFIRMED. IT'S THE BIBLE. THEREFORE THE APOSTLES ARE DEAD AND NO MORE SIGN GIFTS EXIST. Did YOU ever write scripture? Then you don't have a sign gift, DO YOU?
True Patriot: well where is my answer? You can't be a "patriot" and not hold to the truth of God's word. There are two words for 'receive" in Greek. #1. Receive because it is offered to you. #2. Receive it because it was GIVEN to you whether you like it or not. This is the one God uses for a gift. All church gifts are for SERVING ONE ANOTHER. There is no such thing as a gift for personal use, EVER. Sign gifts never benefitted the church. Therefore if you are a true believer, then you already were given a gift at the time of conversion. Obviously God controls who gets them, but you could make the same argument about literary everything that God gives. By your logic we cannot ask God for food, since God is sovereign over who gets to eat or not. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who "ASK" him!" There are many verses which say to ask God for things, and not a single one I know of exempts spiritual gifts as something to ask for. You don't know a man's heart. You don't know its self-serving when someone asks. Many requests that people make might be self-serving, but that doesn't prevent the Bible to tell us to ask. The fact that God controls the dealing out has nothing to do with any prohibition on us asking for something. Should you not pray to God when you're sick, since he may choose not to give you healing, and since your healing is self-serving?
i had been feeling pretty joyless and doubtful for the past couple weeks and after you showed me what it actually meant to pray in tongues i felt childlike joy and i was so excited to do it. it also taught me a lesson of trusting God that i so desperately needed. Thank you for making this video. I have been a Christian for decades and could not pray in tongues. This morning I prayed to the Lord to help me pray in tongues and how much I craved to speak to him in our secret language. Later on, your video showed on my recommended videos. I was so blessed by it and for the first time, I could pray in tongues (even writing this is bringing me to tears). I prayed in tongues for over 2 hours, tears streaming down my face. It sounded beautiful, it felt natural, and it felt like I was speaking my original language. Another video that answered my prayers, thank you, David, for all the sacrifices, overcoming obstacles, and perseverance so that you may be used by God.

At first I just calmly watched and didn't expect anything, I also read the comments. But when the video was about to end, I closed the door and Pastor David was praying, I started to cry a little because the prayer was over, I hadn't spoken my tongue yet, I thought I wouldn't be able to speak anymore. But I turned off the cp and I focused on the Lord, it's funny that I also sing abcdefg- but nothing happens hahahaha I was really crying until I analyzed my intention and desire in my mind and surrendered and trusted the holy spirit, just saying only Jesus then holy spirit will take care of it until little by little I can speak. David I just want to say thank you for helping me for helping on my journey from being a baby christian to becoming a toddler. I was one of the people who spoke utterance then stopped but then you said to keep going so I did and I just kept repeating the same thing over and over again but I feel like the Holy Spirit was trying to teach me a lesson in surrendering. I had been praying...and I was so nieve that I was just singing to a rock n' roll song on the radio as I was driving my car, when for reasons unknown to me, I began to sing in another language !!!! God has many ways to reach through to each person. Don't be discouraged. Just begin to praise and thank God... from your heart, and leave the rest to God. Don't struggle and strive ! Blessed day Saints. Just want to testify about the Goodness of the Lord. I've been desiring to pray in tongues for a few years now. After listening to this sermon Monday at work I received understanding and revelation regarding on speaking the tongues and my heavenly got activated Monday Eve when I got home to pray. I prayed almost 3hours straight.

I received it ❤️ for me it was not in one sitting but praying and continuous pursuit of the gift. One day it happened though and diga led me to the understanding of the gift and how to receive it. Thank you, you are truly a good man of faith❤️❤️❤️
When David said to start praying in tongues, I actually started crying out of fear. I'm not sure where that fear came from, but I think it's my flesh surrendering to the will of the Spirit. I will keep praying in tongues and doing so with faith and place no confidence in my flesh to do so. I will not be embarrassed, but I will trust in God and in the power of the Holy Spirit to help me and fill in the blanks. If anyone else is struggling, I urge you to surrender your flesh to the Spirit. The only way to walk in the Spirit is to surrender to it. The fullness of God can only be experienced in the fullness of faith, so have faith and be healed. Childlike faith is what we're called to have, even when we don't understand the working of God's power. That's why faith is so beautiful, it's dying to self and living through God. Amen.
I received it just tonight after watching this video. I went to my room, closed the door and did as the pastor said. I had several attempts then later when my son came I prayed over him since he's a little bit sick then boom the words came out. I also experienced a soothing massage from the Holy Spirit. I received it!!! God spoke to me through a brother in Christ at a Jesus march and told me that I was running away from speaking in tongues and more and I promise that wouldn’t anymore. And so I’ve spoke in tongues that day and have been trying every since and changing my mind about speaking in faith. The Holy Spirit have been helping me and I am so grateful. I asked for the gift many times but never used it so I see why God said what He said. No more running away from God the gifts I have the authority and all else. I know the Holy Spirit will help me through it all. And He will for you too! We got this brothers and sisters in Jesus and Jesus got us!!❤️✝️🙏🏽🇯🇲
I started speaking in tongues for the first time ever the other night after watching this video on a 3 day fast. Everything pastor david said was literally confirmation for me from the Lord. I felt like i already had the gift in me , but it was my own ego preventing it. I was caring too much about what people might think , doubt , fear , etc. it wasn’t until i fully let go of all that & i claimed it in Jesus name that i already had the gift, i even thanked him for giving it to me before i started speaking in tongues. Me thanking him in advance , gave me even more confidence & faith. I was worshiping in my car , praising , praying , then i out this video on. Then towards the end of the vid , I literally heard the Lord say “ My son , you have my spirit living in you , the gifts are in you…open up your mouth & speak “. HALLELUJAH ‼️ 🙌🏽 as soon as i heard Jesus say that , i opened up my mouth & spoke in tongues. I felt his Joy & peace come over me , i felt so good. Glory to the father ✝️📖🙌🏽❤️ I’ve been praying in tongues everyday since then 🙏🏽🥲 Thank you Jesus ❤️
I first spoke in tongues at the age of 6 and was slain in the Spirit My dad was a puddle of water carrying me out of the church while I was unconscious in the Spirit Speaking in tongues comes from within. Even at a young age of 6 years old, I was able to understand to let go and don't fear and get the pressure off of my tongue. I know I'm about to speak in tongues because the pressure of my tongue gets really strong and it feels like your tongue is actually exercising. It's a awesome experience and to know that you're in God's presence and His spirit in inside you is THE only confirmation you need in all of life. No man can confirm to you any validation of God's Spirit. God will confirm it for you.
It is exactly what the Holy Spirit taught me after I prayed for it. I went to church one day after praying for this gift and just let lose after a deliverance. Then, I see this video and the way you explained it is how the Holy Spirit lead me to do it. What took you 18 minutes to explain, it took an instance for me to just do it after praying for it. I just wanted to watch your video to see if it matched what the holy spirit taught me in that instance and it does.
I received it!!!! I just came back from a church service where the pastor called me up to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and receive the gift of tongues. I kept repeating "Abba" and even proclaimed it loudly, then I quietly began to pray in tongues but then stopped myself after that brief moment. I think I felt self conscious and a little embarrassed being in front of the congregation. After getting home from that service, I watched this video for a deeper understanding of this gift. I received it I enabled it by having childlike faith and started to mutter some syllables and the Holy Spirit flowed through me and felt his presence through physical manifestation he raised my hands and I felt him. I also was so happy during it I was smiling and almost laughing and he still flowed through me it was amazing. May God continue to strengthen me and us all through speaking in tongues ❤
i was trying to receive the gift to pray in tongues for so long , but saddened that i couldn’t pray . rigth now david said “some of you stopped yourself “.i did stop myself, after he said dont stop, i started praying again . I HAVED RECEIVED.

I was 20 years old when the holy spirit give me a spiritual gift" speak in tongues" I never expect that happen, and even pray rather! I just only welcome HIS holy spirit, confess, surrender. Great teaching ! There are only three instances in scripture to where we are told of believers recieving the Holy Spirit and what happened when they recieved, Acts ch.2,10,and ch.19. In each instance when they recieved the Holy Spirit the first thing that happened was that they spoke in tongues. Speaking in tongues isn't something that happens after your saved, its verbal confirmation that you have recieved the Holy Spirit which is being born of the Spirit essential to salvation.
Wow I can relate to all of this. I grew up southern Baptist and the gift of tongues was considered demonic so I fight dogma along with being very self conscious about it. I appreciate the video very much and I thank you brother in Christ. God bless you and yours.

@AP-fb6ry the Holy Spirit is the one that gives and chooses the types of gifts to give each individual. You don’t need to try, all you have to do is ask God and if it His will he will surely give you the gift of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).
I have the gift of tongues but hadn't used it very often because I judged it as mine was infantile, maybe misconstrued, and so on. Thank you for your clarity!

I sent this to my daughter to encourage her teaching my granddaughter how to pray and be patient even if it is something my daughter does not understand. I see a great gift in my granddaughter who is only 3. She is one in picture. She is a very beautiful Sprit and Soul. Thank you so much for this video Brother David. I see Holy Spirit releasing to a lot of people. I have my prayer language. I do want to thank you for asking us to commit to the 15 min challenge. I have increased to 30 min and sometimes a lot longer. Once I feel the shift of Holy Spirit I do not want to leave. He longs to talk to us. Oh my goodness I did not realize until that challenge how much Holy Spirit longs to talk to us. He is even developing other gifts in me. I have looked up the Biblical part and been confirmed by 3 other prophets that were not in the conversation at the time. But before I release a Word I am very very careful to ask Holy Spirit if He wants that Word released. Sometimes He does not. I always obey. The very last thing I want to do is grieve Holy Spirit. That is only thing in life I worry about doing. Nothing else do I worry about because Jesus has it all covered by the Grace of God. I just Never want to grieve Precious Holy Spirit. He is so Precious to me.

Wow. I’ve spent months of trying here and there to pray in tongues and it never really worked. I was expecting this video to be just like the other ones I’ve seen on this subject, but at the end of the video, David’s explanation changed how I was viewing this gift and I just began to pray in tongues. Don't keep giving out the word of God when you discover they do not accept it. This has NOTHING TO DO WITH SIGN gifts. The holy spirit gives the gifts as HE WILLS. Therefore the Matthew verse and the 1 Corinthian verse can not contradict each other. Follow the context and content. Giving that which is holy to dogs and pearl before swine is talking about the word of God and People who do not accept it.

If you want the narrow path, which is Jesus himself, then you are expected to rightly divide the word of truth and show yourself approved unto God. Here's what you are missing; the title of the gift is THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE. it is NOT knowledge itself. Knowledge itself will never pass away but Paul tells you the the word of knowledge WILL pass away. Read 1corinth 12:8 The same goes for prophecy. It is the WORD OF PROPHECY. BOTH of those gifts were for delivering God's message which became the bible. The bible is finished. Also it is called the WORD OF WISDOM. So think about it. Those gifts do not exist anymore. You get one gift when you get converted and become born again. The gift is for serving the church. Paul says they are for SERVING ONE ANOTHER. The sign gifts in Mark 16:17-20 are for the apostles ONLY. They confirmed the word of God by showing signs to the unbelievers that they were from God and NOT false teachers. Do not confuse the sign gifts with the church gifts. All sign gifts are gone. And I bet you that you have no idea of what your gift is, because people like the guy who made this video, are lying frauds. He believes that you can lose your salvation. THAT IS HERESY. HE BLASPHEMES GOD. A descent level of discernment comes from KNOWING the word of God. That is the way to protect yourself from people like this. Bless you too brother David! I received the gift of tongues when I was 21 after going out for a run late at night. Weirdly when I got back to my rented duplex I thought I saw a white bird fly upward from behind the tree in the front yard, and then it was completely gone from my site. I had prayed the prayer of repentance and asked Jesus to be Lord of my life about 1 month before. I had started to go to a new church and they had mentioned the gifts.. Anyway, I walked into my living room and just felt compelled to start praying. There was an unusual feeling in my throat & jaw area, and my mind as I recall. I had a strange awareness that if I prayed out loud and allowed it, that a different language could, might, and eventually did get spoken from Me. LoL Such a Glorious time I had that night! I have been able to speak in tongues at will ever since. I'm now in my mid 60's and seem to do it mostly when I'm either overjoyed about something, or overly concerned about something. I guess now you have freed my mind to just enjoy the amazing comfort it brings me on a more daily basis. More like everyday clothes vs Sunday best ones. Honestly I thought it was for special occasions only. 😅😊❤ Thank you for saying Yes to Your calling brother David. Amen! This is so true! As I’ve begun to do this again, my spirit continues to feel lighter and the cognitive dissonance I’ve experienced from spiritual warfare seems to be breaking off slowly. I can feel the fear and confusion begin to break apart and I can sense relief slowly coming forth in my spirit again. All the pent up pain and heart ache of suppressed emotions is coming out. Tongues helps us fight against the weapons that form against us. It literally destroys them. I’m just now seeing and experiencing this. Wow.

Everybody pay attention: Mark 16:20. ALL of the sign gifts were for the apostles for confirming the word of God. THAT "word" has been confirmed. It's called THE BIBLE. Therefore by the time the apostles died, scripture was finished and all the signs ceased; especially tongues which ceased 25 years before John died. He violates it with every breath he takes. Every video he makes is about mysticism. Anyone's personal experiences are no way to validate scripture. God warns you not to use them or emotions. They are not founded on truth. He claims to teach HOW to speak in tongues. That is blasphemy. Tongues do not exist because they CEASED just like Paul said they would. They came from the OLD testament and the purpose for tongues never changed. There is only ONE verse that tells us what tongues were for, and to whom they were for, and why. Paul quotes it and says, "IN THE LAW". That is the Old testament. He quotes Isaiah 28:11. The purpose of tongues, earthly languages, were a condemnation sign against Israel for following after Pagan cultures and worshiping their gods and marrying into their cultures. God put them into captivity by the Assyrians. He did it again later through the Babylonians. Now Paul is warning the church at Corinth, that a third time was coming. IT WAS ROME. It's the WAR of 70 A.D. The Jews were scattered as James 1:1 says, and the purpose of tongues was fulfilled. They CEASED. Paul said that tongues were for a sign. Therefore every gift listed in Mark 16:17-18 are SIGN gifts. They not only confirmed God's spoken message through the apostles, but it proved that the apostles were from God, and not false teachers. Verse 14 says that Jesus rebuked the disciples for THEIR hardness of heart AND UNBELIEF. THEY were the unbelievers. Simple English. "Those that believe" are NOT common believers. Did YOU ever write scripture? Did YOU ever confirm the spoken word of God out of your own mouth? Did YOU ever drink something deadly or get bitten by a deadly snake with no harm whatsoever? So read Acts 1:2. Jesus gave ORDERS to the disciples. Under no circumstances is he giving Orders to people who are not there. Therefore it is NOT to common believers throughout time. Jesus told his disciples that if THEY asked for anything, he would do it for them. In English, it is called, Second person plural. Simple English. It is not to everyone to do what Jesus did. The apostles carried on with delivering God's message about his son. Hebrews 1:1-2. It does not say, the last days. The Greek is, The last of THESE days. It's the days in which God was speaking his word through his son, Jesus. The book of Revelation is the last book and it is the revelation of WHO Jesus is. Therefore anyone who thinks the sign gifts are still around, is saying that God is adding to his word. Where then are the books after God's confirmed message? They don't exist. Revelation 19:10. The Spirit, or purpose, of prophecy is the TESTIMONY OF JESUS. That's the Bible. Jesus said, " When the Spirit comes, he will testify of Me." That's the bible. Prophets don't exist. They are lying, self centered, self righteous frauds. The word of God is finished. We are to live by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God. We can not live by "every word" unless we HAVE every word. That's the Bible. STUDY to show yourself approved unto God.... Rightly dividing the word of truth. The Greek words for, "rightly dividing', are, CUT IT STRAIGHT. Grow in the grace AND knowledge of our Lord.

I came to this video because I had the idea I somehow “lost” my gift to speak in tongues. God gave me this gift when I was about 10 years (I’m now 19)old and I only used it once when I got it, my teenage years i rebelled against God, even went as far as to call myself an atheist for years despite having this encounter. After finding my way back to Christ I had this fear I was being punished for my wrong doings. But after this video I prayed and God didn’t “restore” my gift because it was never gone, but he drew my gift up from where I tried to bury it, when I pray in tongues I feel the calmest feeling to ever exist. I feel as tho God hears me directly, as if he’s right there in front of me. Anyways thank God for allowing me to find this video and allow me to rediscover my gift
Oh my God I was like practicing to praying in tongues and just saying what the Holy Spirit said to me to say and after I was thanking God for it and suddenly I was speaking in tongues i felt God presence like I ve never felt it before. This presence fill me up thank you pastor God really used you 🎉
What helped me to finally receive the gift of tongues almost a year ago was to yield my will to God.
True Patriot: God's will is that you study the bible and the bible says that tongues do NOT exist anymore because of what they were for. You need to read the two comments I gave to David and then respond to them. The bible tells you that you can not ask for a gift from God. The spirit gives them as HE WILLS. It has NOTHING to do with what you want. You are breaking all the rules that Paul laid down for the church. The entire letter was because they were doing everything wrong. INCLUDING TONGUES. But Paul said tongues would CEASE and they did. Why does Paul quote the old testament in 1corinth 14:21-22? IN THE LAW. Tongues were nothing new in Paul's day. He was EXPLAINING IT. if you can't understand it, then ask a REAL teacher; ME. But the question is, why haven't you read this before and know what it is saying? There are many verses which say to ask God for things, and not a single one I know of exempts spiritual gifts as something to ask for.
You don't know a man's heart. You don't know its self-serving when someone asks. Many requests that people make might be self-serving, but that doesn't prevent the Bible to tell us to ask. The fact that God controls the dealing out has nothing to do with any prohibition on us asking for something. Should you not pray to God when you're sick, since he may choose not to give you healing, and since your healing is self-serving?

Thank you for making this video. I have been a Christian for decades and could not pray in tongues. This morning I prayed to the Lord to help me pray in tongues and how much I craved to speak to him in our secret language. Later on, your video showed on my recommended videos. I was so blessed by it and for the first time, I could pray in tongues (even writing this is bringing me to tears). I prayed in tongues for over 2 hours, tears streaming down my face. It sounded beautiful, it felt natural, and it felt like I was speaking my original language. Another video that answered my prayers, thank you, David, for all the sacrifices, overcoming obstacles, and perseverance so that you may be used by God.

At first I just calmly watched and didn't expect anything, I also read the comments. But when the video was about to end, I closed the door and Pastor David was praying, I started to cry a little because the prayer was over, I hadn't spoken my tongue yet, I thought I wouldn't be able to speak anymore. But I turned off the cp and I focused on the Lord, it's funny that I also sing abcdefg- but nothing happens hahahaha I was really crying until I analyzed my intention and desire in my mind and surrendered and trusted the holy spirit, just saying only Jesus then holy spirit will take care of it until little by little I can speak. Blessed day Saints. Just want to testify about the Goodness of the Lord. I've been desiring to pray in tongues for a few years now. After listening to this sermon Monday at work I received understanding and revelation regarding on speaking the tongues and my heavenly got activated Monday Eve when I got home to pray. I prayed almost 3hours straight.

When David said to start praying in tongues, I actually started crying out of fear. I'm not sure where that fear came from, but I think it's my flesh surrendering to the will of the Spirit. I will keep praying in tongues and doing so with faith and place no confidence in my flesh to do so. I will not be embarrassed, but I will trust in God and in the power of the Holy Spirit to help me and fill in the blanks. If anyone else is struggling, I urge you to surrender your flesh to the Spirit. The only way to walk in the Spirit is to surrender to it. The fullness of God can only be experienced in the fullness of faith, so have faith and be healed. Childlike faith is what we're called to have, even when we don't understand the working of God's power. That's why faith is so beautiful, it's dying to self and living through God. Amen.

I received it!!! God spoke to me through a brother in Christ at a Jesus march and told me that I was running away from speaking in tongues and more and I promise that wouldn’t anymore. And so I’ve spoke in tongues that day and have been trying every since and changing my mind about speaking in faith. The Holy Spirit have been helping me and I am so grateful. I asked for the gift many times but never used it so I see why God said what He said. No more running away from God the gifts I have the authority and all else. I know the Holy Spirit will help me through it all. And He will for you too! We got this brothers and sisters in Jesus and Jesus got us!!❤️✝️🙏🏽🇯🇲
I started speaking in tongues for the first time ever the other night after watching this video on a 3 day fast. Everything pastor david said was literally confirmation for me from the Lord. I felt like i already had the gift in me , but it was my own ego preventing it. I was caring too much about what people might think , doubt , fear , etc. it wasn’t until i fully let go of all that & i claimed it in Jesus name that i already had the gift, i even thanked him for giving it to me before i started speaking in tongues. Me thanking him in advance , gave me even more confidence & faith. I was worshiping in my car , praising , praying , then i out this video on. Then towards the end of the vid , I literally heard the Lord say “ My son , you have my spirit living in you , the gifts are in you…open up your mouth & speak “. HALLELUJAH ‼️ 🙌🏽 as soon as i heard Jesus say that , i opened up my mouth & spoke in tongues. I felt his Joy & peace come over me , i felt so good. Glory to the father ✝️📖🙌🏽❤️ I’ve been praying in tongues everyday since then 🙏🏽🥲 Thank you Jesus ❤️

Speaking in tongues comes from within. Even at a young age of 6 years old, I was able to understand to let go and don't fear and get the pressure off of my tongue. I know I'm about to speak in tongues because the pressure of my tongue gets really strong and it feels like your tongue is actually exercising. It's a awesome experience and to know that you're in God's presence and His spirit in inside you is THE only confirmation you need in all of life.
No man can confirm to you any validation of God's Spirit. God will confirm it for you.

I received it!!!! I just came back from a church service where the pastor called me up to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and receive the gift of tongues. I kept repeating "Abba" and even proclaimed it loudly, then I quietly began to pray in tongues but then stopped myself after that brief moment. I think I felt self conscious and a little embarrassed being in front of the congregation. After getting home from that service, I watched this video for a deeper understanding of this gift. Thank you for this!!! I understand my own ego was in the way and I feel emboldened to pray in tongues freely and allow the Holy Spirit to fill the words as I speak them. God bless you

I received it I enabled it by having childlike faith and started to mutter some syllables and the Holy Spirit flowed through me and felt his presence through physical manifestation he raised my hands and I felt him. I also was so happy during it I was smiling and almost laughing and he still flowed through me it was amazing. May God continue to strengthen me and us all through speaking in tongues ❤

Great teaching ! There are only three instances in scripture to where we are told of believers recieving the Holy Spirit and what happened when they recieved, Acts ch.2,10,and ch.19.
In each instance when they recieved the Holy Spirit the first thing that happened was that they spoke in tongues.
Speaking in tongues isn't something that happens after your saved, its verbal confirmation that you have recieved the Holy Spirit which is being born of the Spirit essential to salvation.

Bro this is crazy I actually did it. I was in the second category thinking the Holy Spirit would take me over and do it but no. Once he explained it it the tongue just came to me

@AP-fb6ry the Holy Spirit is the one that gives and chooses the types of gifts to give each individual. You don’t need to try, all you have to do is ask God and if it His will he will surely give you the gift of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).
