Installing Permanent Holiday Lights!? || Govee Outdoor Lights || H&B Travels

- Something a little different here on our channel! Most of you know how much we LOVE celebrating the holidays and decorating! We (meaning Blake) ventured to @GOVEE and purchased a set of 100' permanent outdoor lights for our house! This is a great way to eliminate the need to NEVER get on the latter again to put up lights! These stay up all year around and it has THOUSANDS of different combinations that are easily accessible from your phone! They even dance to the music, have timers to come on and shut off whenever you set them to!

Very cool you could install yourself . I found an installer that will do 200 feet for $1000. I saw online the Govee should be placed closer to the wall about a lights length away- you have then as far away from the house as possible , curious how they look ..

@@hbtravels2020 How crazy can you go with these? I'm thinking of the Halloween light show that was synced to Gangnam Style. Personally I'd go 100% obnoxious and drive the neighbors nuts with a pink & white display synced to the Barbie song. But then again I think I was dropped on my head as a child. 🙂

So your house is all basically connected with corners, lets say its not, how do I with this kit do something for my upper level of house that isnt on the same strand but make it sync?
Hey! Thanks for watching. I believe Govee has a “connection” box to where it syncs via Bluetooth to get them to all run together!
If you have two separate power/controllers you can group both sets together in the app
If I buy two 100-foot, do you know if I can sync the two in the app?
Yes, I do believe so! You just can’t connect more than 150 feet together
Use the link in the description! That’s the exact set I got. Fast shipping and no problems with them. Holding up great in this heat!
You can group them in the app but the 2 sets would have to be powered separately. You can only go 150 feet per set. So you can use some of the sections in the other kit but can't max past 150 feet. In the app you group so that they sync.
What if I dont have wi-fi, will it still work on my android phone that has internet service?
I assume you wanted a more diffused look by placing them so far away from the house?

Hey man thanks for watching. I actually ran the power cord down the side of the house in the corner piece of the siding. I then ran the extension cord to the outlet right next to it! I’ll make another video showing my Halloween set up, be sure to give us a follow! Cheers

Does it come with a connector for that or? I see alot of pictures and videos of the lights being so separated but still connected and it has me mind boggled as I am going to be buying a kit soon.
Like your upper level compared to bottom looks like its not connected if that makes sense.

Too far from the wall
way too far away from the house. should be about 3in from walls.
I like the way they turned out, I tried the 3-4” suggestion but I couldn’t get it to stick, the way my roof was. All good though! Still really happy with them! Thanks for watching

I just ordered Black Friday sale, but I prefer this look and not the triangle light look. I’ll be installing farther from my house
