    Thanks for giving Norwegian ways of doing stuff like this! I watch so many American videos, and those are not always that easy to "translate" into how things are done in Norway since their is some differences. Tusen takk! :D

      Not only that we here in the states basically *never* take this much dedication to waterproofing and sealing a framed bathroom, though I would be curious to know if everything he did (waterproofing) was code or exceeded code.

    • @Helveteshit
      @Helveteshit ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@geoffreychadwick9229 I reckon it exceeded code. I doubt a run of the mill worker would do it up to the roof. They would probably just do the shower fully, then the rest of the bathroom to X metre etc. To save costs and reduce amount of work.
      Then again, I do not know the exact codes in Norway for these stuff. But I know in Sweden, I've seen them using Linoleum matt scraps and waterproofed that way. By sealing it like a floor. Then clinkers onto that. Among other tricks to cut down costs.

    Good to see a proper Scandinavian style bathroom build, where one makes it a "wet-room" to stop water damage, almost only see the American bathroom style builds where there is basically no real protection except a fiberglass pan for the shower/bath.

    The best part of doing a video of this waterproofing is that insurance companies got proof you did everything according to what is needed for the insurance to cover water damage if it ever happens.
    Some people might be lucky enough to have a certified company come in and double check your work and put their name on your work, but that is super rare since they have not done the work and if stuff goes wrong they have to pay out of pocket to repair it since they insured it was done correctly.
