  • ❤️ Officially in love with Mt. Rainier National Park 🏔
Been looking forward to seeing this place for a long time and WOW it did not disappoint! This active volcano is the tallest mountain in Washington (Cascade Mans) and also the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S.A., spawning five major rivers!
📝 We put together a 2-day guide for anyone interested in visiting Mt. Rainier National Park. Unfortunately we visited just after the “busy season” so there were some things we couldn’t see but we throughly enjoyed exploring what we could of this magical place ✨ Let us know what we missed or should see next time!
    Day 1
    ✅ Paradise Visitors Center
    ✅ Skyline Trail (5.5 miles)
✅ Golden Gate Trail (1.5 miles)
    ✅ Lots of wildlife! 🦌
    Day 2
    ✅ Reflection Lakes
✅ Snow & Bench Lakes Trail (2.5 miles)
    ✅ Narada Falls (169 ft)
    ✅ Christine Falls
    ✅ Nasqually River Bed

Some of the best footage I’ve seen as I’ve been planning our Mt. Rainier trip. Thank you!

As someone who lives about 90 minutes from the northwest entrance and who has probably been to the park over fifty times, this is a fantastic video for those who are planning a trip to Mount Rainier. Congrats to pronouncing Wenatchee correctly :-) Excellent advice about being prepared for a hike in the park as well. Beautiful footage, too. What I found really refreshing is you were both really honest about what you knew and didn't know, which enhanced the sense of joy you had exploring the park. I hope you'll make time to come back and see Sunrise, Mowich Lake, and Grove of the Patriarchs.

Yes your pronunciation of Wenatchee is correct, my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter live in the city of Wenatchee. Actually the base of Rainier is so wide that you’re on the mountain before you realize it. Visitors often point to the summit saying “there’s Mt. Rainier” when in fact they’re already on the mountain. The base is 100 sq. miles, while the park itself covers about 380 sq. miles. It’s too bad you didn’t stop at Longmire on your way up to Paradise, the National Park Inn and museum are worth the visit.

Beautiful video! Thank you! I need to hike here next time I go to Rainier. Speaking of top 5 favorite trails, 2 trails in my top 5 are Ptarmigan Ridge at Mt. Baker, and Rock Creek Little Lakes Valley in the California Sierras south of Mammoth Lakes. Happy hiking!
