Probably the best Skip Stewart performance I've ever seen on youtube (and I try to watch them all). The beginning sequence is especially awesome - The high alpha knife edge at his take off would have to be well below stall speed and he keeps it coming for quite a while. His confident command of knife edge flying allows him to perform close to the ground which is one of the things that makes Skip's displays so spectacular and stand out from the rest. He also makes good use of inverted flight and isn't afraid to experience the negative Gs looping back up from ground level. A varied repertoire of manouvres means he is not relying heavily on axle and snap rolls to fill his routine which has been a tradition in aerobatic displays till now. He very much deserves the showmanship awards in my opinion. Having said all, the camera work is amazing and is a pleasure to watch!
Ive been in a Pitt Special once for a while with a portughese pilot comander but you are almost like God thanks for sharing your performance and passion with me all the best from Carlos Portugal
....The muscles in this daring handsome young Pilot's face along with the neck of a bull are attributable to the physics of those G's. ....the musings of an old not often so bold high time pilot.
Skip thinks like the earliest known philosophers. If there is nothing in the air, than I should be able to move about and do anything I want in the air at will. He then proceeds to do that in a plane.
he actually did point the nose straight up when he did those straight up climbs, but as you were saying about flying it like a helicopter, Dont think I have ever seen a plane actually take off like a helicopter before, know about those Short takeoff and landing planes but thats pretty much as close as your going to get to a plane taking off like a helicopter, UNLESS you are talking about the Harrier Jump Jet, which CAN takeoff straight up and then come back down like a helicopter....
If you're referring to the maneuver called a Hover, the plane would have to produce no less static thrust than the weight of the plane. From what I read, this type of plane weights around 1,700 pounds with a 250-300 hp engine. So I would say no, it can't Hover.
Stew's a lefty, at least his plane is. Tho the infrequent rights are not bad, just typically much safer. Left? Right? Either way, he has a better job than me.

E mesmo isso sim é show aéreo
bravo, sublime, prestation extraordinaire, super pilote ses tonneaux déclenchés et son vol tranche sont une pure merveille
Always perfect .... skip stewart 👍👍👍
Bravo Skip Stewart, you are great
Amazing
It’s really awesome❤
Guy is awesome
I was a lucky guy thanks for you performance from Carlos Portugal
Skip Stewart/ Bob Hoover/ Svetlana Kapuchina
Guy is a beast...
Watching those maneuvers so close to the ground makes me nervous!!
He was really laying down some mosquito fog.
onemoremisfit Ha ha, He was definitely keeping those mosquitos away.
Uncle Kermit is a great pilot also, he says Skip is the Paramount Pilot today.
Good show Skip ur a Bad Ass Pilot that's 4sure !! ❤❤😊😊
Big thumbs up to all pilots who can do these acrobatics and pylon racing.
i think I first saw this fellow at Tunica.

That opening knife edge prop hang....WTF
What a takeoff!
that is a fast plane as well
That engine is so powerful he could probably point the nose straight up and fly it like a helicopter.

These aircrafts are sick... You can Pull more G's than in every Fighter Jet ,awesome 🤪
So epic
The closest we got in South Africa to this is Nigel Hopkins
Wow he is Crazy xD

Enough with the smoke!!..Great pilot..the smoke kills your talent and flight

that seems pretty brazen to chop the throttle at the beginning of the opening knife edge, had me wincing...... but , no prob.
