Probably plastic, I might've heard someone in the first look videos.
Its aluminum; i own one.
Its not plastic
Its kinda sad how these modern new notebooks have huge issues and bugs when running older OS like Windows 10. I would love to have a Zenbook S16 but having to run Windows 11 is an absolute nogo. It would immediately get Linux installed with twisted fingers hoping it to have no driver issues. The notebook itself looks very promision and I love 15-16 inch Notebooks with lighweight metal chassis. It makes it comfortable to carry with without having to fear breaking it due to lack of rigidity.
But At this moment, I personally would grab an MacBook Air over this, just for the fact that it has to run Windows 11 for a problem free use. And I don't know how well Linux and Thunderbolt Dockingstations work well with Ryzen AI Notebooks.
rj45 :( and no those usb dongles suck... would be nicer to have charging from both sides other than that it looks perfect for 2024
It's a shame the grey one doesn't seem to be available in the UK. Also, other videos highlighted some serious flex in the keyboard/touchpad deck. Otherwise, I'm ready to order when the grey is available.
I haven’t experienced that if I’m honest. But I do agree the grey is nicer
Really? I am jealous of you guys in the UK that have the cream color in hx370. I would easily trade an American gray hx370 for a British cream-colored hx370!
Hi!
From the processor standpoint, how does it compare to an intel i9 13900H in the asus zenbook pro 14?
I was interested in this specific model.
Who is faster between the two?
I'm mainly interested in multitasking, having lots of tabs open at the same time, using tradingview, possibly connecting an additional monitor... no gaming, just multitasking and trading.
I don't know if this use is more related to single core or multi core, if you could aknowledge me about it I would be grateful 🤣
Thanks and good week!
New AMD Ryzen AI 9 CPUs are easily better than i9 13900H
@@abdullahk0405 only in igpu
WiFi 7 - yes!
It's a Mediatek 7925 so good luck finding Linux Drivers! So Intel for the win on WiFi 7.
The new TUF A14 has the Risen chip too, and also the 4060 GPU :)
OMG I love your cat, super pretty eye colour!
Sylvie says Thank you!
It's good that this surface treatment process has been used for aluminum for decades. And it has nothing to do with ceramics, but it's important because of marketing and they even found a fancy name....I'm losing my mind :))))))
What is the process called normally?
Probably my next laptop
i would have thought that the LEnovo Yoga 9i would be the major competitor to the Zenbook S. How would you compare these two> which is the stronger performer?
hi mate, how much is the battery life? specially compared to macs
His camera is outstanding!
Is there a reason why you’re comparing the HX 370 to the Intel Core Ultra 7 instead of the Ultra 9 ?
How good do you think it is for streaming? (No gaming by the way, just recording meetings and streaming them with OBS)
The price is a bit to high here in Sweden, $2,225 (usd) including VAT of 25%.
Get the hx365 model instead($1800?) Honestly the 34 watt power limit clips the performance of the HX 370 890m GPU so the 365 with 880m is a better deal ...
The 365 is not available in Sweden, there is a 14" vivobook with the 365 thoe.
Could you do a review on Lenovo ThinkPad L14 14" FHD Touchscreen Business Laptop ( AMD Ryzen 7 5825U, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 8-Core (Beats i7-1165G7)), Backlit, 1080p RGB Webcam, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, Win 11 Pro w/ AI Copilot?
I’m a university student looking for a good laptop that will last me into grad school, good price, graphic lightweight and long lasting battery.
Like the laptop, like your review. My question is about the integrated vs discrete graphics:
Can laptops of this size actually handle discrete acceleration (without excessive heat) and if so what is the performance boost *with respect to AI needs?*
Liked. How do the speakers compare with the much vaunted Lenonvo Yoga 9i Pro 16" 2024 model? Those are likely the best windows speakers thus far. Thank you for the review.
Best windows speakers are on g16 zephy
Does it overheat a lot? Especially in the keyboard area, like the Zephyrus g14 and g16 for example?
Anyone who picked up a Snapdragon Elite X probably wish they waited just a little bit longer. I cannot even imagine what the steamdeck 2 is going to look like. This laptop is almost strong enough to replace my desktop.
Why anyone would trust Qualcomm or Microsoft Surface at all is mind boggling.
@@diamondlion47because the Surface Laptops are premium, rock solid, excellent device drivers, robust updated firmware, and now with Snapdragon they have the best battery life + the best performance. (Except for games). But faster than Macs.
@@sergelucalikasi Do you work for their marketing department?
😂😂@@diamondlion47
Luner Lake is actually not the successor of Meteor Lake cuz it features way less TDP. It's more like the former P series or U series processor with a little bit higher TDP (17~30W)
Ugh Intel though... Can't even trust their chips not to rust let alone live up to performance claims. I'd avoid that company until new leadership comes in.
You could include the name of the laptop in the title, seems like a little important detail.
How much ram does the AMD Radeon 890M for this laptop come with? I can't find it listed anywhere.
Cool laptop! Can you do a comparison with asus vivobook s 15 snapdragon please?
Yes!
wondering if i should get this, the vivobook ryzen 9 32gb ram 4060, or the new dual screen asus laptop
what is better - Ryzen 370 or Core Ultra V256? assuming they on the same Asus Zen platform.
Why don't they make that laptop 4mm thicker and make people impress by how cool is the keyboard under load.
Macbook pro 14 is not that thin. That's mean any thinner is just stupidity.
The keyboard is fine under load, I even have my s16 configured to use 41w power which it does use when gaming with my usb4 egpu connected. I do have very calaced hands from lifting and it is on a laptop stand with 3 fans but it performs great for the power draw and thinness.
Hi, what about noise ? I really like this unit but I am don't wanna anything noisy. I am using ubuntu, light work. No compiling or so. Just office work and web browser. Will this unit gonna be silent ?
only the version with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Processor comes with TOUCH. If you want touch dont buy the cheaper model with AMD Ryzen AI 9 365
Didnt AMD plan for it to be their biggest release to date? And we get only this and PX13? Sad to see history repeat itself, making good workstations available at least 3-6 months after, and not immediately.
I do feel AMD have got lost a little between meteor/lunar lake and snapdragon
MLID kept glazing and glazing until ryzen 9 ai hx 370 wtf bbq this cpu line I can't even bring myself to type out properly, were krispy kreme levels of icing about how they have all the design wins and immense stock levels ready to go... guy is a tool and amd keep shooting themselves in the foot with introing new lines on GARBAGE asus 28w gimped junkbooks

When you connect it to the monitor by USB C cable, does it also charge the laptop?
Yes if monitor support that, i have viewfinity s8 which rechargers my laptop
Sounds great so far, now we need a flip edition please with paper like non-reflective screen mini-led 😂 14 inch that support real HDMI 2.1 30fps@8k come on Asus this not a cheap laptop. Also noticed the camera and mic looks and sounds still need improvement. Good luck but waiting for HP versions specially 360 specture. 🎉 Love Asus anyway.
tbh on laptops i'm not the biggest fan of OLEDs, they're way too power hungry i'd much rather have a good IPS
It's 11 hours on high load........
@@Hey1234Hey that's way way off from what tech chap got, his unit got 7h30 on youtube which is light load, and in his regular day he got 10 hours. I'm a dev, I'd get 5 hours tops
@@Hey1234HeyTech Chap shows in the video he got 7hr 30 mins which is even worse than last generation Intel (and that's quite a low benchmark lol).
I think the MiniLED displays are better.
@@AliFarooqui111the miniled? That's just same old IPS with better backlight though.
Will this laptop (the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 With Radeon 890M Model) be able to handle architecture and design 3d modelling and 3d rendering software such as AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, Lumion? Has anyone tried and how were the results?
is the trackpad a haptic touchpad or springboard type?
Nearly bought one of these but it needs an extra USB port, preferably a USB-C on the right, we are not all students running on batteries. I need ports on the left for a USB hub and a USB hard drive and on the right for USB mouse so nowhere left for power!!! Laptop makers have used using USB-C for power to save money by removing a dedicated power port but not increasing the USB ports to compensate for one becoming the power port. It's just like the 16:10 aspect ratio has seen the demise of 17 inch screens for those of us old pros that don't want to squint at the screen. Also no Thunderbolt4 and lastly the black version is not available on Asus UK website. So close but no cigar...
The wallpaper was to good ,can you please share the link
Hi, I'm very interested in getting this laptop. Is the storage capacity expandable? Thanks so much
no Neither the rum or the hard drive are expandable and you have two choices 24gb of ram with one terabyte of ssd and 34GB of run with two terabyte of ssd
Considering the 14” variant. Better than Air 13”?
Hello, I specialize in photography and photo editing. I recently found an ASUS ZenBook S 16 OLED while looking at several models as I needed a 16-inch laptop. I would appreciate it if you could rate this model to fit my needs. I'm mainly working on high resolution images using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. So display quality and performance are very important factors. I was wondering if this laptop could meet my requirements.
I just ordered the Vivobook S16 with the same processor.
Looks better than the new Dell XPS laptops
Linux compatibility is probably lower than the XPS though.
Imagine if it had rtx 4050, would be the best option for everything
I agree it turned out to be a wonderful ultrabook. Question. What is the difference between Asus Zenbook S 16 and Vivo S 16? With the same components. only touchscreen and Seraluminium?)
It looks gorgeous…how I wish Razer can bring one like this because I’m concerned about the Liquid metal thermal design of Asus products.
So should I get 1600 entry level this or the 4070 G14 OLED on sale, that also comes very close on battery life
It might have been nice if MS optimized Windows for x86 as they are doing with ARM. They've let quite a bit slide over the years.
Putting ads and bloat in windows and moving settings around every update so you can't find them is way more important
@@BoraHorzaGobuchul That's a feature not a bug.
