Best line ever: "I've got a thought going around my head" "Well, lend it to Trigger."
British sitcoms don't have writers rooms, the whole show tends to be written by either one person, or a writing duo partnership. So all of this was written by John Sullivan, all of Father Ted was written by Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews, all of Friday Night Dinner was written by Robert Popper, all of The Royle Family was written by Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash. So in the case of individual writers, they come up with absolutely everything all by themselves, there's no spitballing ideas
Lovely shout there Chigster. Have a good day Dave
Thanks for the info bud =]
Chiggins_ - Goodnight Sweetheart and My Family had writing teams, but they were definitely the exceptions. The Upper Hand as well, but that was adapted directly from Who's The Boss? from the USA so technically it probably wouldn't count as having a writing team as such.
An interesting fact is that when they were putting the show together Jim Broadbent, who played Slater, was originally considered to play the part of Del Boy.
He was the first choice to play him, David Jason was like back up choice
@@Joshan101 yes that's why he put originally 🤓
As much as I admire jim broadbent, I honestly couldn't imagine anyone but David Jason playing del boy
Yeh he was first choice but had work on another show and couldn’t commit his time so David Jason got the role. Which was the best move ever. No offence to, Jim. But I don’t think the show would of been the same
@@Joshan101 Considered and first choice are not the same.
Jeremy Beadle was a TV host specialising in prank shows like Game For A Laugh and Beadle's About.
In Britain, Beadle's About was very popular and each week, they would set up a member of the public with a prank like swapping their car for a replica and then crushing it😂🤣😂🤣
Sometimes Beadle himself would turn up in disguise as a Policeman.
I like how you remembered that moment in previous episodes when Raquel mentioned that here husband was a cop,it means you are genuinely committed to this show and also i like that Adventure Time T - shirt
As someone who is a member of his patreon he's watched the entire series and watched the documentaries. He loved the show and was invested in the entire run.
Josh thank you for letting everyone see the full episode of only fools and horses. I had the dvds and dvd player until about 6years ago. Look forward to to more in the future. I’m glad you enjoy them. I apologise for the length of this comment. Although we never will know each other. Good great future. 😊😊
“Slater” was also in hot fuzz and played Prof. Slughorn in Harry Potter
Triggers actor also had a role in the HP films as Bartimus Crouch
I have been rewatching the HP movies and I never realized that was Trigger until the other day.
Who's Rachel? LOOOL
Great episode - loved this one
Next one is funny too and primarily about Uncle Albert
But the last episode of Season 7 before the Christmas Specials is hilarious and a great ending
Jeremy Beadle is the main name attached to hidden camera shows. He started on Just For Laughs & then hosted Beadle's About.
RIP Jeremy. He was a great entertainer.
Remember Beadles About! Used to watch that as a kid too! I love the bit in the one where Dels got the Big Russian camera on his shoulder singing 'Whats out Trotters about!' 🤣
@@DeeDerry Beadles about at the blood donor bank.
Game for a laugh.
@@stewartcohen-jones2949 those were the days
"I've got this thought going round my head"
"Well lend it to trigger." 😂😂😂😂
I've known English people who are genuinly like that 😂😂
What? sarcastic like boyce or stupid like trigger? lol
Jeremy Beadle was a tv host, used to host ‘Beadle’s About’ which was the UK version of Candid Camera.
My fave of all time...I remember watching back in the day..and my last birthday,my son got me the complete dvd set coz he's a legend.
It’s amazing that John sullivion wrote every episode by himself.
legendary man
Jeremy Beadle was a famous prankster.. use to be on tv every week..The slogan was "You better watch out because Beadles about"
Josh mate.........Your singing the Theme tune. You are now an Honorary Brit!
LOL thanks bud =]
Trigger is such a goof I love him
Hiya Slayer, are you American?
"Who's Rachel?" is just an utterly iconic line any fan of British Comedy will get a giggle out of.
Joshs face watching the last scene unfold was gold. This episode is one of my favourites. It's so well crafted.
Wow, it's beeen MONTHS since if got a notification from this channe!, and the link works to watch the full reaction! Good times all round! 😃
Awesome thank you!
Loved that episode. So many little unexpected twists .
“Who’s Rachel?” 😂
🤣 Love that scene.
Oh shut up Albert 😅
You need to watch the OFAH special called "To Hull and back" for context to the Slater situation. 👍
i think he has its just not on youtube due to copyright issues
I’ve watched all these for over 30 years over time, still makes me laugh
One of my favourite episodes from the entire run. Glad you liked it.
"was that the Italian boy?"
I always look forward to your reactions on episodes where there is a big reveal or twist, the whole showdown in the living room is absolutely fantastic. Definitely one of my favourite episodes 😄
Hiya Josh, you'll have to watch Beadles about (if its available on youtube of course), just watch 3 episodes and you'll get the idea about it, one time Beadle made a baked Beans factory explode, there were baked beans everywhere, people used to write in and set their friends up, another one was the council changed the name of this woman's shop, the council put old fashioned lettering up and changed the name of the shop and she didn't like it, until Beadle showed up in a policeman's uniform and then she twigged who it was, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria ,England
Jeremy Beadle used to do a hidden camera prank show called ‘Beadle’s About’. I know you’ve seen them all now but on one episode (Fatal Extraction) Del comes out with a video camera singing “watch out Trotter’s about” to the theme tune of Jeremy Beadle’s show. It’s made more hilarious because of what happened just prior to him coming out with the camera 😂
This one is my absolute favourite, the drama and hostility, so good ha ha
Jeremy Beadle used to host a programme called Beadles about, they would arrange a big prank and film it, at the end Jeremy would reveal himself and people then knew it was a prank, i.e the prank could be that they got an exact replica of your car and changed the number plates so you thought it was yours, then they would do something like crush the car to get a reaction, it was a popular show in the 80s.
Hiya Phillip, can you remember when the Baked Bean factory exploded on Beadles About???
@@Choppy698
No sorry.
Just to let you know, a "Head Master" is an old name for what Americans call a "School Principal"
i hope you have had a fantastic day,why because your a gooden .Keep spreading the happiness, power to you.
Oscar winning actor Jim Broadbent playing Slater.
The greatest sitcom ever
Jim Broadbent was the Chief in The Worlds End if you remember. For me you're the king of reactions my man. Much love. Liverpool x
Hot fuzz
@@makaio9578 thanks Makaio you're correct. Had a brain fart there 😂👍 cheers mate. Have good evening. X
I appreciate that, thanks bud =]
Leave off Del Boy, Trigger couldn’t organise a prayer in a mosque 🤣🤣
I love this one....Due to your vids I've been watching all over again ☺️
Glad you enjoy it!
Jeremy Beadle was the host of a hidden camera prank show
Who’s Rachel?
SHUT UP ALBERT, I wonder if they were all howling with laughter inside

I don't believe I have seen that bud I will have to check it out.
Fantastic comedy that and cheers was my favourite in the 80s 🤩
Every episode was written by John Sullivan you should check out Dear John and my favourite Just Good Friends!
jermmy beadle was a tv presenter
I just love your enthusiasm.
Writers ? Every single episode was written by the creator John Sullivan. 👌🏻
He knows now, he watched the John Sullivan docu on his patreon.
who's Rachel?
classic
Nice one Josh....💯
Thank you.
i love only fools and horses i love triggers the best
Jeremy beedle was a tv hosts people would send funny clips in to the show. Which was called, you’ve been framed.
*Jeremy Beadle* was the nation's practical joker. Kind of like Candid Camera notched up to number 11.
WHO'S RACHEL???
The greatest comedy show ever
This show is great =]
Need to watch to OFAH to Hull and back to understand this episode properly🙏
Well?…which one ? 😂🤣😁😆👏🏻👏🏻👍🇬🇧
Their was no writers room. Every episode was just 1 guy.
Thanks bud.
No offence to anyone in the police or who is related to a police officer, but Jim Broadbent does look like a stereotypical spiteful, bent copper. Slater is hardly Dixon of Dock Green.
Just shows you how good he was at the role.
👍😂😂😂❤❤
Yes a very funny episode miss Shakeshaft..😂😂😂
Yes it was a funny episode Mr Kevin Bingham😂😂😂
John sullivan is dearly missed
Don't worry mate, they'll find him again. Whoever he is.
@@scottandrewbrass1931 that's his brother 😂
