My dad has actually always had a set of snap-on double open end wrenches with an angle like that on one of the sides. They’re very handy for getting into tight spots like that. After looking online I found that snap-on and other manufacturers still make a similar set of wrenches.
There’s all sorts of crazy wrenches out there. Just doesn’t justify spending the money to buy them unless your gonna use them more than once every few years.
Never knew the fuel lines all had to be the same length. Makes perfect sense though. All the fuel pulses would need to be the same for it to run right. Speaking of patina on the tractor I did a "barnyard" restoration on my 66 row crop about 10 years ago that included a hastily applied paint job. It has sense turned and faded some and now looks like it should. You see restored tractors painted and shinny at shows but truth is they were never painted like that from the factory. To each his own I guess...
Not all injection systems are like that. I know shepherd diesels use different length injection lines. Fordson Majors and several other European diesels I’ve seen are different lengths as well.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy I'm a little older than you and we didn't have any type of shop. No wood shop, no auto shop, nothing! That's what I mean by that. I didn't have the opportunity to take either.
Been on break for a bit Farm Boy! Just got caught up on your videos. Looks like you got yourself one sweet ride. Good for you. The T is gonna be ready just in time looks like. How's the wheat doin? 50's here today, central Il. Gonna be here fast. Keep on farmin!!
Looks like the Waukesha engine build is going back together great ! I would have dropped a bullet proof 4-53 GM engine in the 1950 Oliver tractor but we are Detroit people . LOL 😁 Keep up the good work !
@@Oliver66FarmBoy That's good to know ! I see what your talking about at 3 min and 22 seconds in to this Oliver 1950 video . th-cam.com/video/y5sjsENeZuU/w-d-xo.html I noticed the wider frame around the blower area . We have a spare GM 3-53 diesel and thought it would make a nice engine for an 1800 Oliver . Looks like we will have to go back to the " Drawing Board " on that project .😀 Imagine the Oliver Detroit frame tubs would be hard to find ?
How many of these diesels have you rebuilt? Do you use any removable thread locker on anything? I have never rebuilt an engine myself and why I have so many questions. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Painting lines sucks so bad. So much paint waste so many curves and places to paint easy to miss little spots. A person with ocd for stuff like that like me will find those spots. Recently did a pump swap on a 70 4020 and had to paint every single line. Drove me absolutely nuts trying to get them right. 😂
Another great video 😀😀thank you, I always learn a lot and you do a great job explaining how to do things 👍👍😀
I can't wait to see this old tractor up and working once again. I know you have to be really looking forward to it even more.
Yep
Thanks for the great videos 👏👏👍🇺🇸
Thanks for watching
Really enjoy watching these videos. Always learn more from you. Really excited to see the T running the new planter this spring
Thanks.
Every tool you pick up means your closer to the finish. Looking good Ethan. Take care. Fred
Thanks
Enjoying the rebuild series!
Thanks

Looking good buddy be safe out there your buddy from Nebraska
Thanks.
Coming back together great. This is good. Looking forward for the start up!!
Thanks.
Looks great can't wait to hear it run👍👍👍👍
Nice. Getting closer.
Thanks.
I appreciate your explanation about not painting vs patina....which I appreciate, too. Not criticizing at all!
Thanks
I gotta say the Ts gonna look sharp on that white planter if I do say so myself looking forward to spring
I think so to.

I'd be paranoid that I forgot something important the whole time. Pretty cool seeing this happen they'll come a day when you won't sadly.
It’s happened before.
Coming along good I also like the patina look.
Thanks.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy you bet
Lucky you even had auto shop in High School!
That’s all we had.

It’s a little frost bit but it’s fairly green for both having any preplant fertilizer.
I'm antsy to see it crack off!

Would need a Detroit tub. A 4-53 is to wide to fit in a Waukesha tub.

Don’t use thread locker on anything unless specified in the manual.
S wrenches will also work
Hi Ethan, Always great to see such great detail!
What all was done to injection pump when you sent it in, was it set up for a little more power?
A complete overhaul and recalibration.
Looking really good. I really like your engine stand. Did you or your dad make it?
Yea
How do you pull the fan pulley off the water pump?
I have to call Monday and see if I can find a input shaft for my 1650 the one that I had sent to me is bad
Bummer.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy I know it looked like brand new too
Mabe a half- moon wrench.
Possibly.
Are you going to paint the motor when you get down with it
Never mind I was going to ask you in that last video I sent the comet before the video starded
nice to see a young fella using a speed handel, wrench!
Thanks.
