while everyone comparing slash with other guitarists including buckethead, I think playing music isn't just about the skill, but the important one is CREATION, slash has created numbers of iconic solos in music history.

I agree, and people think it is all about speed, compared Slash to Van Halen. I hate when people say he is overrated. Slash’s originality and creativity makes him such a godly guitar, definitely in the top 10

This is what people struggle to see. It isn’t all about technical abilities and speed, and they compare him to Van Halen. People say Slash is overrated, no. He is one of the best guitar composers who has wrote some of the most original, creative and well known pieces in history and has left a huge impact in rock. Definitely worthy of a place in top ten. Jesus😆😖

I totally agree with you. Slash's solos are conditioned to his style of playing. Also, he has does improv solos before and he can play really fast and technical.

You didn't even mention the guitar solo in "don't damn me". That's the best thing ever. Not just in music but in general. Multiple gradation, perfectly composed, energetic and badass while still melodic. Just perfect.

Slash is my favourite guitarist of all time, he was my inspiration to start playing guitar. Sure his daily live shows can be a bit much with all his soloing but he has written many iconic and truly beautiful solos

Slash, not being the best but at the same time being the best, guitarist shouldn’t focus on how difficult their solos should be but on how you can contribute to the music you’re writing, that is what makes the artist and what takes you to the right path to be a LEGEND.
hes just so vocal with it, never overly complicated and every solo of his has that ability to get stuck in ur head like lyrics, i could sing every single one

Among the great guitarists of our time! Anybody could learn to play guitar and copy stuff, but Slash as many other greats goes beyond playing, he creates the music which influences and entertains others as well as stay memorable throughout the years! Respect!

His best solo to me is Paradise city. The way the song switches up in typical Guns fashion and it speeds up and gets more energetic. It feels like everything is out of control but still crazy fun and the crazy speeds he reaches in that final solo is ridiculous and always gives me goosebumps

Back in the late 80s early 90s only hardcore GnR fans, those in the biz, and musicians really appreciated how talented Slash is. Luckily the mainstream picked up on this and Slash has gotten the credit he's truly deserved. And since then he has aged like a fine wine 🎩🎩🎩

To me, a good rock guitar solo is not about showing off how fast you can play scale exercises. It's about putting that song within a song. Feeling, melody, emotion, and personality are way more important than histrionics and flash.
A great song is not about the number of lyrics that can be crammed into each measure, it's about the feeling the song evokes in the listener. No different with guitar.
Slash is a master at this.

So many people go against slash for sounding horrible or comparing to him. Do you think Slash wants to play these songs over and over again? NO! He’s probably sick of every single song he plays! Also it’s not just about what he’s playing.. it’s how. What he created is a piece of art.. but also it’s his technique and sounds. Not just him playing himself.
