The moment you hear the 1st note you know it's Slash. This is the biggest success of any guitarist. Modern guitar players are very skillful but sometimes the soul is missing.
@raymondkidwell7135 Slash is my all time favorite guitarist but no one plays it better then bb king. Those are facts, put some more respect on the amazing bb
@@chanang453Richard hybrid picking is awesome. He is more skilled and versatile but wouldn't say better per se. Especially in a band like classic GNR sound

Man, there's just something about his stage presence that i can't quite put into words. His outfit, with the tophat and everything, and his playing make him feel like such a legend (which he obviously is). Pretty frickin' epic, if you ask me!
I think his best playing ever that cannot be touched or recreated was him in the 80s live while effed up on heroin. You can hear the accent of the drugged out Slash. Look into it, I'm not promoting drug use, but it is something I havent ever seen before in any other player. You wont hear this ever again. Everyone I show is just surprised
@@mf5202 I'm not sure I'd go..... quite... that far. If SRV had stepped through a time portal and joined in on these chord changes, I think the phrasing would probably have reached a somewhat higher level here.
I remember when Gary Moore put out Still Got The Blues, it was a revelation. Going from Hard Rock-and he was a top tier Rock Guitarist-to straight-up blues was killer. The same with Gary Hoey, his Blues/Blues Rock albums are excellent. If Slash put out a blues album, I would buy it! Great stuff.
the way I've been searching for this video for so long. Just found it a year later. couldn't be more happy. Crazy how this is only an improvisation, slash is a god.
I actually meant that you can’t compare Slash to Gary Moore. In my opinion Gary Moore is the best blues guitarist that ever walked the planet. Been a massive influence on my playing for the last 40 years.
The sound, the legend, one of the real guitar god left in the world from this century. Incredible. You know it’s Slash from the first note and sound. He’s loves playing whatever with whoever he feels like. Kids , listen and observe, Guitar God, not many left now.
I am a Rock lover... but that touch of blues, just rocks the soul out of me... and @Slash is just superb at this.... I have no words to express the metaphysical reactions this sound causes in me.... great trio... but @Slash.... leads....👏🤘🎸🎶❤
Slash may not be the best blues or hard rock guitarist but nobody has his gritty dirty tone that I love. And damn if he isn't one of the best soloists of all time
Yes if you only know one guitar player. This is probably the best ive ever heard Slash play but there’s thousands of guitar players that are much better but then again it’s just a matter of taste.
Slash é fera em qualquer estilo seja blues, country, lambada , bossa nova , baião e até forró o homem se destaca. É um dos melhores guitarrista que já vi. Parabéns Slash.
I have to admit that I was quite reluctant having Richard Fortus in the band back when they announced the reunion. Being the huge GN'R fan that I am, I was hoping for a comeback from both Izzy and Steven but Richard has proven to be an excellent rhythm player (not mentioning his lead skills on guitar) who fits Slash's style of playing. This part of the gig right here is a delight for guitar players and anyone who truly appreciate (live) music and that is why GN'R will always be relevant and sell out stadiums.
You can play rock, you can play metal .......but everything is incomplete without the soulful touch of blues.
110% agree !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You need that soul!!
This is what separates a guitarist from a MUSICIAN.🤘😎🎸
Agree

It’s very bb king sounding though. Slash plays bb king better than bb

So true man, Slash, Page, JJ Cale, BB King, Harrison, Ray Vaughan to name a view..❤
There is something about blues music. It goes deep into one's soul. Miss Stevie Ray's magical sound.
*Mr. Stevie Ray
@@63FenderStratocasterI think the person meant that he ‘misses’ SRV’s music, not calling him a ‘Miss’!
Don’t you mean all the people whose suffering created the blues….? Why do you thinks called the blues?
This man was born to play the electric guitar his sound is amazing i can listen to 50 guitar players on cds and i can still pick slash out of them all
Same here brother 🤘🤘
Same🤟🏼 his tone is legendary 🖤
Completelty an d totally agree dude
I've played "Obsession Confession" for a lot of people, and nobody ever figures out it's him playing until tell them.
Not only his tone but his emotions through licks are just amazing🥵
Also very impressed by Richard Fortus’s rhythm playing
for me Richard Fortus is a better player than Slash but hes always relegated to 2nd place behind Slash
@@chanang453 well, slash does write the songs, has the stage presence and people actually come for him. Performing is very different from the studio.
Richard and Slash are a great pair! We all miss Izzy, but Richard I always knew when watching that last lineup would be GREAT with Slash!
@@chanang453Richard hybrid picking is awesome. He is more skilled and versatile but wouldn't say better per se. Especially in a band like classic GNR sound
Incredible. I m going to learn HiS playing in this song
Richard Fortus, Slash and Duff.. what a dream team.
Literally, the Soul of a man poured out on a guitar. Why blues is at the center of every great guitarist.
Because the Blues is responsible for basically all American genres of music. Peace

How do you ompare him ro Gary Moore tho? Gary Moore was amazing but so is slash
@@shawnperri8825 "Gary Moore was amazing but so is Slash"
That's how.
Slash, Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher, Gilmour, Prince all have great feel, Slash is my fave as he's like a culmination of all of them
Slash is not even close to being in the same league as Gary Moore.
@@mnhay27 , true, he's even better.
I've been saying this for years "Everybody needs a Slash blues jam record"
He's making one 😉
The snake pit albums are very bluesy
Unfortunately his new one sounds nothing like this

Slash is amazing here.. gotta give props to fortus with that rhythm playing too man. Adds so much to the feel of slash’s lead
Jesus. I didn’t know Slash could play like that. My god that is absolutely fucking phenomenal.
Check out his 2010 album titled 'Slash'. Every track has a different guest artist, in that artist's style, and Slash just nails every style.
Also check out Rocket Queen live in I believe Australia with the Conspirators and Myles Kennedy. Holy SHIT is that some amazing playing right there!
Am a Berklee guy. Slash is absolutely the real deal. His phrasing is at par with anyone.

Exactly. It has to have feeling..and Slash is one of those greats that can deliver that. Awesome and amazing.
Awesome Rhythm guitar ❤️. Slash amazing too

No comparison other than the use of a Les Paul and a Marshall amp
Every note at the right place, at the right time. Every one. Great.

That rhythm guitar section was literally just as captivating as Slash’s incredible solo
I appreciate Slash more and more every time I hear him play! That was incredible…
From clean to full distortion just on the guitar volume control… incredible
He had his guitar's technician on backstage, I suppose...
Les paul can made it, also orange capasitor added inside, the clean & distortion controlled with those knobs
Slash laid it down!! That was one hell of a solo. All over the neck. The emotion in the bends!! Amazing!! Well done Slash!!
I need this as a guitar backing track.
Sounds like Echoes - Pink Floyd
