A million videos out there on the dji mini 3 pro & RC controller, but not one to help me FIND my screen recordings. I'm fairly handy on a computer so I inserted my micro SD card and started looking for myself. Holy crap!! Searching the file paths is the equivalent of trying to use an overhead photo of NYC to locate a dime laying on the street. I initially disregarded this video because it concerned the RC Pro, but then I figured "same company - maybe same thought processes". Through blind luck I had already stumbled upon my files, but decided to see if my guess was right. I watched the video and sure enough, it was right on. Even found out where the pics are stored. Great video!! Keep up the good work!
Impressive channel!! Your videos are very polished and the information presented is very easy to follow! I’ve never been an Android guy and the RC Pro has been confusing. Thank you for sorting this out. Keep up the great work - I’ve subscribed and am looking forward to more videos!
Your videos are well-produced and very helpful. I have the Air 2S and the RC (not Pro) controller. I cannot find the hi-res versions of my generated mastershot videos. I can find the low-res versions in the cache, but not the quality ones.
Agreed. DJI doesn’t offer an option. I believe it’s possible. I found the files once but it would would require some gymnastics to get the indexing right
Thanks for the video. In my case. I couldn't find any cashe files on the SD card until I formatted it in the RC Pro controller. Then files were able to be found.
The ultra high def versions will only be on the drone, unless you download them to the RC Pro (but why take up memory on it). For social media, check out our video on that (we suggest using the cache files) Posting to Social Media on the DJI RC Pro th-cam.com/video/-Iid55nUn_M/w-d-xo.html For your archive, pull it off the drone. Hope it helps.
I’m surprised you didn’t include how to locate your flight logs in this video and how to send them to DJI in the event they request to see it/them to analyze if you are having issues. They just requested mine due to my Fly App constantly crashing while the drone was in the air. If you already have a video that talks about this please share the link.
You must be psychic! I’m currently working on a video on how to use (and find) all of the logs… there are 4 total. It's probably will be too late for you… But, thank you for the confirmation. Not sure which DJI support was asking you for... But, on the RC Pro, try in: Internal Storage/Android/data/dji.go.v5/Files/FlightRecord
@@middleloopvideo LoL! Wow!!! That’s awesome! I’ll be on the lookout when you have them done. I just turned the switch on to auto sync the records so hopefully they will be able to get them with ease.
I have a new question. So I flew today without a microSD card so I relied on the internal storage. I found the video files but not the photos. Now I have my Airdata account connected to my DJI account to store my flight logs. When I pull up my airdata logs I can see the photos I took. How can airdata access those photos but the RC Pro doesn’t? I actually flew twice today with no microSD card and the first flight, the photos and videos were on the RC Pro because I was able to hit the play button to preview my shots but I ran out of internal storage and had to format it to make space. Speaking of which after I formatted the internal drive, I noticed it didn’t erase everything. I was seeing files from 2022 still there in the internal storage. Not sure what that’s all about.
A lot to digest there. No microSD in the controller or drone? I’m wondering if you are seeing actual photos or just extremely low resolution thumbnails which also get created for browsing but are different. Not sure about whole formatting thing. I feel like I’m missing some important pieces to the puzzle. 😟
@@middleloopvideo the RC had a microSD card but not the drone. I was able to get the video I shot but not the photos. I ran out of space on the internal storage. Is the internal storage different than the microSD card you insert into the RC Pro? If so that might be what I’m confused about.
@@cre8tivity06 yes. The RC Pro does have some internal storage which is different than the MicroSD card (external storage). Videos will automatically cache to the RC Pro (HD version not 4k). Photos and high resolution (4k or higher) don’t automatically go to the RC Pro. You’ll only find these on the drone (internal memory). Hello! Thanks for your wonderful tutorial! Can I ask you something? When I take a Quickshot or Mastershot and I want to see the preview on my RC Pro, it says "cache file not found unable to preview video". I inserted the sd card in my RC just yesterday but I don't know how to use it. What means "Cache file not found"?
I assume it was still in when you went to review it? The message means it couldn’t locate the cache file where it expected it to be. I have a couple theories. 1. You recorded a lot and the cache file was over written. Are you able review any and just some are missing? There is a setting as to how much memory to set aside for cache files. Did you change the setting to use the SD card? We have a video on Expanding the memory of the RC Pro using an SD card. 2. Did you format the SD card. Some people have had trouble with SD cards unless formatted on the device. We have a video on for formatting the card which talks about it.
@@middleloopvideo thanks for your answer. I formatted my SD card today and I hope to solve the problem. I selected SD card for the memory... I can't understand 😕
Hello Ireland! Are you trying to copy files from the RC Pro? If so, to where?
