That's one area where the novelization was much better at explaining things. Palpatine actually selectively records the encounter in a way that implies the Jedi are either persecuting him for religious beliefs or are actually there to try and kill him from the start, leaving out any incitement on his part to make himself look like the villain.
I love when stories highlight that the Empire has all but risen at this point. Things would have been bad if Sidious was arrested or killed in the Chancellor's office because being a Sith isn't exactly a crime.
Actually, in the original timeline, being a Sith was a crime. Darth Bane: Path of Destruction states that the senate had declared the Sith an illegal organization after the Jedi Civil War in ~4000 BBY, and that law was still around in 1000 BBY, as that's when the novel takes place. We have no sources stating that law was removed between 1000 BBY and 19 BBY, so it can be assumed to still be on the books.

Also, I do understand Palps was unarmed, but only after Mace Kicked him and Sidious dropped his saber as he fell to the floor. He did not give up willingly and attempted to fry Mace he said "You are Under Arrest, my lord." While it is not the Jedi way, killing Go For Papa Palpatine at that moment would not be in Cold Blood IMO considering what transpired in his office after the Jedi attempted to Arrest him.

Now granted there were many factors that contributed to Anakin turning to the Dark Side and becoming a Sith Lord, but I've always personally believed that one of BIGGEST reason was simply because Master Mace Windu NEVER trusted Anakin. Not only that, but going SOLELY by what we saw on-screen in the Prequel Trilogy my opinion has always been that it seemed like Mace Windu actually WANTED Anakin to fail as a Jedi. And I've personally always thought that was COMPLETELY the wrong approach for Mace to take towards Anakin, because like Anakin Mace had a natural affinity for the Dark Side. TRUE, Mace Windu had the training and practice and experience to harness the Dark Side WITHOUT letting it corrupt him and ALSO remain true to the Jedi Order, but I've always felt that Mace, in his ARROGANCE, didn't even CONSIDER the fact that with proper training Anakin could do the same thing. So I like your 'what-if' scenario here, where Mace Windu actually LISTENED to Anakin, and instead of essentially MURDERING an unarmed and defeated Supreme Chancellor Palpatine (AKA Darth Sidious) actually adhered to the Jedi Code and Ideology and instead took Palpatine into custody. The great mistake of the jedi masters was trying to arrest Palpatine without any proof of guilt. If just they informed the senate of the death of General Grievous and wait for the response of Palpatine as a chancillor and return the powers gained during the war, they will be able to act on it. So Palpatine was right when he talked with Anaking at the opera; "all who gain power are afraid to lose it, even the jedi".

He needs to know more knowledge, and become much more stronger and powerful. Eventually he finds out Anakin is in love with Padme, so he allows anakin to be with her.
Only complaint with the story is that restraints would not work if you cut his hands off because the natural taper of your forearms means handcuffs would fall off without hands

Here is what militaries and governments due in that situation, it's used normally for officers and nco"s who die in combat, Ahsoka would be "posthumously" awarded the rank of jedi knight, whether she accepts it and comes back woukd be mist lukely up to her, its done also with retirement sometimes so unless their actually changing the rules for making master's the rule remains whole
Ahsoka would receive an award with rank and two tiny lightsaber just big enough for paper weights, just kidding she would mist likely be given her lightsaber back or told to keep them if their still in her possession

I haven’t noticed that your stories often address lot line of Yoda, realizing that Jedi order need to allow. Attachments. However, I don’t think that would happen in this situation. Because not enough negative stuff to make Yoda realize things were wrong they still found the Sith Lord and the war ended.

Honestly, I think Anakin should have died when the building collapsed. It would have been made a far better ending. Especially since it would have been his desire to protect the people he cared most about that gave him the power to do so. That could have been a great way to introduce the idea of how powerful attachments could make a jedi.
I like some of these twists and they are often more logical than what happened in the real material.

Honestly, I think Anakin should have died when the building collapsed. It would have been made a far better ending. Especially since it would have been his desire to protect the people he cared most about that gave him the power to do so. That could have been a great way to introduce the idea of how powerful attachments could make a jedi.
