I stopped pair skating at 18. However, I always go on skating several days per year until I stop definitely. I skated once more time 13 years ago. 5 or 6 months ago I have had a very strong desire to do it again. I was really very happy exactly like younger. First, I was like a beginner but I progressed very fast. Unfortunately, I fell on ice and broke two malleolus. 🙊 I'm 67 and this time It will be wiser for me to stop for ever. 😢 Without this accident, I would have been able to skate several years more despite my age. Fortunately, I will continue skiing. Snow is soft, it's less dangerous for bones. I was very happy to remember time I spent on ice younger. I'm lucky. Accident happened two months before I go to visit USA and Canada. 👍
@@biancavalencia7241 Wow! Congratulations 🎊🎉 to you. Yes, competing is my goal. I actually have a private coach as well, and also cross training during this process. My first competition is in October, competing in my level which is Adult basic 2. How about you?
@@dr.natashadaniels7573 ohhh… I didn’t know anyone can compete at their current LTS level! I thought skaters have to complete Adult Basic 1-6 before competing. Good luck at your competition! 🥳 Right now, I’m just enjoying learning how to skate. I don’t have a coach. I’ve been doing yoga and off ice exercises to improve my balance because I still haven’t mastered one foot glides and stroking. I love forward slaloms and half swizzle pumps though!

Beautiful ❤how old were you when you started. I just started back at 40 in June of this year. I just literally made it to adult basic 2 yesterday.
Hi! We’re on the same boat. I’m 41, started LTS Adult 1 in April and I’m currently in Adult Basic 2. Is competing a skating goal for you?
