Honestly, it seems a bit easier than life with a baby at home. I believe that having exposure to the outside tends to calm a baby down much more, so you guys are doing a great job!
Babies aren’t super easy in a home either so for him to have these experiences of fun and beauty and laughter will be huge later on even if he doesn’t remember the exact moments. It’s the internal joy right now. Loved this video!

Ah I am currently pregnant with my first and will be a single mom. I've been looking into Van life b/c I love to adventure and want to give that to my little human. This video was so informative and helpful! Thank you so much!
Your coffee maker might just need to be burped, if it is a Keurig according to the manufacturer and the help desk take the water reservoir out turn the machine upside down after you plug it obviously over the sink because there will be water coming out and give it a couple of good shakes It will make it popping sound but that's normal and then it should work just fine after that, put back together.
I can feel the exhaustion throught the screen. Kids are a constant hard work and the hard work isn't the problem so much as the consistency of it so be careful people and try and make things as easy as possible for yourselves 😊 ❤

I only just found your channel (it appeared in my feed for the first time today). I just want to say as an over 55 female…the “keyboard warriors” seemed to be out in full force in your comment section. Please don’t let the negative comments get to you. It is unfortunate that in our society we are so divided, that we cannot stop to appreciate and celebrate our differences in terms of life choices. If I could of been self-employed and traveled throughout my children’s lives I absolutely would have. I have watched other families travel together with children ages newborn through the teen years. And, while it I am sure there are negatives to choosing this life path…I feel the positives far outweigh them (which I am sure there are many of these “keyboard warriors” who disagree). Hang in there…we all have good/bad days no matter where we live. And, for those who are consistently criticizing your parenting decisions, your roles in terms of who does what chores that are needed within your van (there isn’t room for both of you clean at the same time and for all they know Kevin does all the outside chores and you the inside stuff), or your health decisions (breast feeding and drinking coffee…they never bothered to ask if it was decaf or even took the time to Google it to learn that breastfeeding mothers can in fact drink coffee in moderation); just ignore/block them and continue to make the best decisions based on the information you have for your family’s needs, goals, and wants!! Just one last thing…I am sure these same “keyboard warriors” will “educate” me on the rules of the English language as soon as I post this and that is OK if it helps them feel better…lol. I subscribed and will now catch up on your back videos to learn more about your beautiful family!!
Man what a life! You guys are making some core memories, as for not being able to do the couple stuff, just keep talking about it together. At night when Wyatt has fallen asleep, take that time to make plans for the future for couple stuff! You guys are great parents. Wyatt is happy, heathly and thriving. I hope Dads foot has healed nicely, oof just wear the booties for us please, lol! Be safe out there, can't wait for the next video!
The two of you seem to share the “chores” really well. We travel in an Airstream Interstate Nineteen with a good-sized dog. We totally relate to how one person & baby (or dog) need to stay in one end of the van while the other adult works/completes a chore in the opposite end. Also the storage thing, organization is everything. Less is more! FYI: I went to highschool with Kevin’s dad, lol. We’ve run into each other a few times as we live near OC. We enjoy all your adventures and watching Wyatt grow. Safe travels. See you down the road. 🚐

thanks for this Video and for sharing how vanlife is with a baby. My boyfriend and I started vanlife recently and before that I could really imagine having a baby in the van and after living in a van i absolutely do not think I would be able to do that! So big respects to you for managing so well. One thing that jumped out to me if I may share, is how you speak in a very strong "baby tone and baby language" to your baby. I imagine this is very natural and easy to fall into and ofc it gets the baby smiling a lot, however I have learned that for the childs development it is actually not the most supportive. I don't mean to tell you what to do or that I know it better, but it's just really something that stood out to me, and I would personally recommend especially as your child grows older to speak to your child more normally, as it helps immensely in the development of the child... thanks for reading!
Did this trip with baby, 6 year old and a puppy 28 years ago! There was almost zero American food in Baja at the time. Great trip but it was a super challenging, bananas and avocados saved the day!
I'm still at the coffee part but want to comment before I forget - this happened to me with the same model keurig - I had to run vinegar through it 3x and it cleaned it out. At first, it seemed like i was pouring water & it was stuck - not making any sound, etc. It just needs a good cleaning - I'm sorry if you figured this out already!

Hey Kristi! Welcome to the channel and thank you for being here and commenting!!!! We're stoked you found us and let us know if you have any questions. We respond faster over on Instagram!
God bless you! I could never live in a van with a baby. That's what's nice about people, we are all different and that's the way it should be. I am a Mom and I think you are doing a great job. Thank you for the video.
I’m so proud of you guys. You both are very attentive parents. It’s so sad that people would say things in the comments to make you think otherwise. Good for you getting out & traveling. Keep it up. Thanks for sharing your journey with us & most importantly for being amazing parents ❤❤
The routine of a permanent home vs a travelling home is worth it for the time you get to spend with Wyatt cuz they grow up sooo fast!! Enjoy your new routine and all the memories you are creating. ps sucks that you feel you have to explain yourself so much to everyone cuz people love to pick apart people's lives online.
He seems a very active baby (just like my child from literal birth and she's 4 yrs old now) so I totally get the hardships but what an adventurous life he's living
Just want to say, you are amazing parents. I want to applaud you for your hard work making your adventures happen, and sharing them with an audience. You do you, don’t listen to all the naysayers. Half of them are jealous and wish they had the chance to do something like that. I found your channel tonight and am in awe of your travels with a young one. I’m a mom of 3 boys and a grandma of 5 grandsons. When our boys were 1&1/2 (twins) and a 3 yr old. We had a small camper that we pulled with our Dodge van. We went all over California, Oregon and Washington and had a blast. Yes, it’s a lot of fun and great memories were made. It wasn’t always easy but it was well worth it. ❤ your family is adorable 😊
Love this thank you so much for the comment! We hope to continue our travel and adventures with our little family as it grows! California, Oregon, and Washington are so beautiful! Can't wait to take Wyatt there.
Even in the normal set-up; meaning living in a house we encounter the same predicaments. So living in a van is just somewhat becoming acceptable. We just have to things one at a time...
Great video. A few questions : Why not a pack n play? And a noise machine is a god send for our grandchildren while sleeping?! Just asking.. Taking our grandson on our next road trip and anything to help with the trip...
Kevin, this has absolutely nothing to do with your video, but has anyone ever told you that you look like George Clooney when he was on ER? (ER is one of my favorite shows so naturally this felt important to share). My sympathies about the coffee struggle-I relate.
Just saw you for the first time ..Your van is awesome..I watch alot of van travelers but haven’t seen one with a baby yet. So I’m going to follow because you guys look like you’re doing great! He’s a cutie! 🥰
March 27 2024: Just came across your channel. When you have a routine with coffee or tea and it doesn’t happen. Oh no not the dead whale. How efficient with your morning and a little! Wyatt is a beautiful child. Oh how cute his little chair and table for him. So portable. Kudo’s to both of you for living a van life with your little one. Wyatt you are adorable with your hat on the beach. Safe journeys.
Another great video guys, love watching the man grow. I was ready to pick up a coffee for Taylor and deliver in the beginning, decaf right? Lol. He's soon going to running, yes get those cuddles when you can. You guys are taking great measures to be sure Wyatt is always comfortable and taken care of, great parents.
Thank you Garry, we really appreciate it!!! I saw your recent video of you on the pond, damn the wind was howling and it looked bitter cold! Hope all is well with you!
Hey Kevin, modify that crib railing to use just outside the side door (maybe with shade) to allow the "little man" to move a bit more. Love the family and content.
we're collecting our first van tomorrow, i have no worries about my 3 year old, but i also have a very active 1 year old, so we'll see how that goes! i'm thinking of getting an awning just as an extra safe space for her to play because it will be enclosed.
You are a very blessed family, adjusting to having a baby is always life changing but it seems more difficult in a van. It does not really get much easier, we just become more relaxed as they grow. Cherish this time whilst he’s little before you know it he will be 18 off to college, or 30 and married.
I just recently subscribed to your channel. I actually was searching for bathroom repairs & fell apon your BR reno..Way back.Love that your out there on another adventure Plus 1.Your lil man is such a happy lil soul..Parenting on the rd is Def. a challenge for sure..I'm so very impressed with how you've got it all dialed in..Hello From VI BC..Canada..Happy trails 😎👍🤗✌️
Thanks Kat! Welcome to the channel and thank you for the comment, we appreciate it! We hope to explore your neck of the woods one day! Good luck with the bathroom reno/repair!
I hope to find a relationship like this were I can have a baby and take him or her on our adventures and not have to settle down if we don’t want to, but just give them a more rich and fulfilling life
I think you’re doing amazing! As I could’ve only dreamed of my parents taking me on experiences. So it’s really great that you get to be together all the time and see the world 🌎 I couldn’t think of anything better it’s my dream! You have a beautiful family maybe one day I’ll see you on the road ! ✌️
You two are rocking the “living mobile” with a baby. Just a heads up, don’t be afraid of noise so he’ll learn to sleep through normal life noises. My husband’s mother had the place silent & when we first married any noise woke him up. It was so annoying! It’s still like that except his hearing isn’t great (loud rock music! )so I can do stuff now, 44 years later! Having four kids helped too! Both our parents brought us camping as infants & our first time we only had 2 weeks ones & a big trip was when #3 was 10 months & we were tent camping! Camping with wee ones you cannot be a control freak & must be more relaxed with cleanliness or you’ll have a breakdown! Just think of it boosting their immune system! Looks like you’re enjoying Wyatt and that is what is most important, giving him lots of love!💕
She has been maneuvering around, cleaning up after everyone, and doing everything for the entire video. It is too small of a space to move around in all the time. Hard pass.
@25:22 Can the mattress drop down so the crib can be taller? I see it’s in the middle vs lower.. unless theirs a structure at the bottom to prevent it being lowered..
Sorry to hear that it’s a tough day. I tend to be grumpy without coffee as well, you need a backup French press for moments like this? I think Amy and I would have our challenges in such close quarters. Wyatt you have the life. Road trips are the best. I would eat homemade guac all day long. Our little one is a labradoodle so we have to stop every few hours to pee and get water because she doesn’t eat or drink when we are in motion. I give the human parents so much credit. lol good job mom and dad.
Thanks Dan! it certainly can be a challenge but we make it work, I think taking turns taking the little man out, letting him get his energy out certainly helps...but then the one in the van tends to grab the camera and comes out to capture the memories instead of relaxing or getting something done haha
@@MathersOnTheMap totally! I get a similar experience. i am always excited to do a room tour and Amy my wife will typically want to just take a minute. i need to be more mindful. 🧘 😅🤣
Next time take a little blanket with and Cover his head a little when it’s so windy 😅Because he was struggling to breath a little because of the wind💖 love your vids and channel
I LOVE WYATT!!! MOM NEEDS TO SLEEEEP..I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND HATING THE CONSTANT, CONSTANT CLEANING..BC ITS ALL I DO AND ITS MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY EXHAUSTING!!!! Can mom take a nap???
Kids are adaptable. They fit in with your life. I worked, travelled, fly eg 27hrs with my first child to work, he had health issues, so the suitcase was full of his medication, foods etc.. it still never stopped me travelling with him. It is a mind set.. it can be as easy or hard as the parents want to make it. Ps. Food gets everywhere with kids in a house to and have to clean up to. Everything can get sticky with kids! Even in a house you throw routines out of the window.. especially if you have more than one kid! Even in normal life kids sleep in pram, bed, sofa, car, body cloth etc.. We had baby rucksack carrier and still went for day hikes eg in the Alps or when on holiday.. you don't do the long distances due to stopping more, but you can still go off all day. We did big stretches in the car... you just have to drive evenings/nights... i used to pj my kid after dinner a 6pm..then drove 800km..with few stops for toilet, walk, nappy change, feed etc. Even alone.. eg every 2 weeks for a long weekend to visit his dad working away. .. everything is possible if you are chilled and don't stress.
Instead of having your baby on the floor, where are you have to keep bending down why not put his seat on top of the table where he’s in proper reach for you guys directly at you and not up at you😊
The biggest positive to your entire video is that you all spend every moment together which is a rarity for most families. Being able to watch him grow and learn, not missing any of those special moments, is so special. What a blessing! 🙏❤️🙏

Enjoy your new routine and all the memories you are creating. ps sucks that you feel you have to explain yourself so much to everyone cuz people love to pick apart people's lives online.
It's so a blessing to spend every minute with him, we're so lucky/fortunate.
Yea, a bit of a bummer but comes with the job these days!
He seems a very active baby (just like my child from literal birth and she's 4 yrs old now) so I totally get the hardships but what an adventurous life he's living
literal birth???
I wonder if they get a bigger van or etc when baby gets older
You're doing a fantastic job with your little man. Enjoy every minute like you are as it goes so quickly ❤
Thank you Mary!!!
Handsome baby boy also beautiful couple grateful vlog
He is such a cutie! Just found you guys tonight! Live it! ❤
Thank you!!! Welcome to the channel!!!
Even in the normal set-up; meaning living in a house we encounter the same predicaments. So living in a van is just somewhat becoming acceptable. We just have to things one at a time...
Btw..this is my first video of yours Ive seen..and I love it! I have no kids..only tons of pets..this is so cute!!❤❤❤❤
I give you young people a lot of credit, can't be easy. Enjoy your videos. New sub.
Thanks Gina! Welcome to the channel!
Welcome to the channel! Thank you for being here and the nice comment! ☺️
@@MathersOnTheMap Thanks glad you enjoyed it was definitely colder than the beach in Baha lol.
Haha that’s fair!
@@MathersOnTheMap in todays episode my tent got flooded and the floor was a sheet of ice , I think I should find somewhere warmer 😅
Hey Kevin, modify that crib railing to use just outside the side door (maybe with shade) to allow the "little man" to move a bit more. Love the family and content.
Wonderful ❤ you guys are awesome! God bless and watch over your travels. I think it is great 😊.
Thank you so much! We appreciate it!!!
Hows your ac unit holding up? Now with the insulation and some furniture that filled some space in, should work really well now.
we're collecting our first van tomorrow, i have no worries about my 3 year old, but i also have a very active 1 year old, so we'll see how that goes! i'm thinking of getting an awning just as an extra safe space for her to play because it will be enclosed.
Congrats on your first van!!! Ya'll will have a blast!
woah what awning is that? not aware of an enclosed awning!
You two are doing a great job!
Thanks so much!
Y'all are doing great
You are a very blessed family, adjusting to having a baby is always life changing but it seems more difficult in a van. It does not really get much easier, we just become more relaxed as they grow. Cherish this time whilst he’s little before you know it he will be 18 off to college, or 30 and married.
haha fair enough! Thank you we will!!!
First time watching your family and you two seem like amazing parents! ❤ Have fun on your journey ✌🏽❤️😁
Thank you Jessica!!! appreciate it! Welcome to the channel!
You guys are living life!! If you ever come through Phoenix you're welcome at my home....I even have a washer and dryer! Lol. Timmy C Arizona
Thank you Timmy! haha we may take you up on that one day!
@@MathersOnTheMap Great!
I hope to find a relationship like this were I can have a baby and take him or her on our adventures and not have to settle down if we don’t want to, but just give them a more rich and fulfilling life
If we can do it so can you!
I would love to go to a van festival or events where they have many vanlifers!
Nice van and adorable baby!❤
Thank you Linda!
Suggestion, you might want to install a tulip on top of the van even just small one for extra storage.
Why not just boost itnup higher with something under the legs? You can still secure it all around. And there plenty of rail down below still...
Loved the video! You guys are the poster parents for van life! Little Man has a wonderful adventure in life! Kudos and Subscribed
Thank you!!! Welcome to the channel 🙌🏻
You’re blessed he has not done it yet. My son came out of his pen at eight mos.
Just came across your page, you guys are super cute. Subscribed! 😘
Thanks guys! Welcome to the channel!!!!
Thank you!!! 😊 we appreciate it!!
Thank you Elizabeth!!! He definitely hears noises it's pretty hard to be silent in such a small space haha!
Nope but we increased the height of the railing
Priceless memories that will last a lifetime. Would you guys ever do a motor home as he gets bigger
I think the van is perfect for a family of 3 but we might get a bigger rig if we have another baby
He’s soo cute … and you are amazing parents … way to go with the breastfeeding! You are awesome Taylor !
Aww thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
Ohhh, I spotted the Welsh flag on the beach when you were walking Wyatt ❤
Next time take a little blanket with and Cover his head a little when it’s so windy 😅Because he was struggling to breath a little because of the wind💖 love your vids and channel
I LOVE WYATT!!! MOM NEEDS TO SLEEEEP..I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND HATING THE CONSTANT, CONSTANT CLEANING..BC ITS ALL I DO AND ITS MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY EXHAUSTING!!!! Can mom take a nap???
Where did you get that little baby camping chair? So cute! I have a niece or nephew arriving soon and this would be perfect!
Amazon!!! It's a great gift idea! Here's our affiliate link 😊 amzn.to/3VwWFvF
Love this and completely agree!! Thanks for the comment Rebecca!! 🙌🏻
Beautiful family and nice video ❤baby is barely in the ground for him to explore 😢
Thank you!!!
We are wanting to do a baja road trip with our 8 month old this fall! What chair is Wyatt eating in? I think we should add it to our list!
It's a great little chair! Here it is Megan! amzn.to/3VwWFvF
It sounds amazing, but how is he going to learn to walk, being confined , I get it’s not constant, but trying to imagine?
They could open the van door and invent walking outside... crazy, huh?
I keep seeing the love child of George Clooney and Mathew Lillard.
If this is a one cup mini kuerig machine you need to make sure you do not use distilled water, its super sensitive to minerals in the water. 😊
Seems like a lot of Dad holding/occupying baby, while Mom does most of the cleaning/prepping food.
Instead of having your baby on the floor, where are you have to keep bending down why not put his seat on top of the table where he’s in proper reach for you guys directly at you and not up at you😊
