Just came across the channel and good to see I have lots to catch up in! Totally obsessed with the Mega Drive and already very jealous of your collection 😍😍
Back in the 90s Virgin Megastore sold some official imports. They were just Genesis titles that had no U.K. release but with a sticker on them saying Official Sega Import. Valis 3 was one of the games. Great video
Nice Nice nice, I have been chasing down the Arcade sticks for a while now. Lost Bids on 4 in the last few months. Now I'm in the US but seeing that Complete in box Arcade stick brings back memories.
@@RetroGamerBoy well I know sms has gone stupid and cost me towards the end of my full set and MD is the same so definitely not pushing for a full set 😂
Wow a power stick 2 I never knew that existed and the Vallis collection looks amazing. As for your latest pickups buster douglas is one of my faves and all I need for the entire boxing set is George foreman for real boxing. Keep going you nearly there Mike 😀
Wow, going hardcore still...i love the way the megadrive wall looks, especially the way you have so many boxart fronts on show...so much colour. Nice game pickups, that stick is a beauty. 😉
The Australian Master system version of mortal kombat 2 has similar weird editing on the back of the box too. Instead of the euro languages they pasted over a cheat hotline but it really looks like they stuck a bit of paper over the box. I also agree that the boxed games I got as a teenager I managed to keep in good condition, they were expensive so why wouldn't I.
That’s odd. Mortal Kombat 2 was a PAL exclusive game. If they did a dodgy job it would have been from Brazil. Never had a Master System, but did a Mega Drive. My Dad who lived in Australia sent me a Mega Drive to Hungary. I would get the occasional mega drive game on our Austrian visits. The Australian releases were always so cheap looking with those trash blue and white photocopy of the manuals and sometimes bootleg looking versions of the cover print. While the euro games always had a better polish. It was something to do with the Australian distributed Sega Ozisoft. They would repackage these games. I think Sega eventually took over as when the blue spine mega drive games came out, the manuals were color and overall had better printing. Those older Aussie Sega games are rough.
Ozisoft I guess needed to work on very thin margins so I guess just using the US or Euro artwork with the licencing and legal text changed on the back or a sticker was cheaper than creating their own branding.
It outputs a grey silhouette picture. It does it even for Mega CD and Mega drive games. There is audio and if I don't use the 32X there are no issues. I've changed consoles, PSU, cables, had it recapped and cleaned, but still nothing.
@@RetroGamerBoy Sorry to hear about that Mike. My PAL Mega 32X has a common problem and that is that one layer of the graphics (the 32X side) wobbles and shakes when I hook it up to my model 1 Mega Drive yet it's perfectly fine and still if I connect it up to one of my model 2 Mega Drives. I say it's (somewhat common) because I watched a video once on another youtuber who had the exact same issue as meso there must be more cases of people having that particular problem.
I'll see you at the Gaming Market, I'll have a stall set up...not Sega Mega Drive stuff sadly, but Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS mostly however their are some cool SEGA titles I have you might be interested in! The Power Stick II is the one! It's a shame the never bothered to remake this for the Mega Drive Mini or licence a USB type replica of this with Retrobit etc. Oh well.
Hi there, just after a little help with your vast knowledge. I recently bought a mega drive bundle and all were in near mint condition. As part of it I received power monger for the genesis (but still works on the mega drive). It has its manual and even the EA 92-93 booklet it came with. I love seeing what games and items you pick up for your megadrive collection mike. I struggle to collect, but I'm super proud of my little collection. Megadrive is my favourite console of all time 💙.
Those are not the oringal boxes right? All these games still look so new, you probably put the sleave in a new box. Am I correct? Thinking of doing that myself but not using the oringal boxes is also a thing..
***HELP*** Were Sega Mega Drive games heat sealed in Australia? I have a heat (Tube) sealed Batman game and I cant find any information on it. I got it as a present in my younger day but never had a Mega drive to play it on, so its been in the cupboard ever since. Can anyone help?! TIA
Sega games were never officially sealed. Once they got to distributors and stores a few were sealed in a range of different. Vacuum and heat sealed Sega games were the most commonly used forms. But these are easily faked and so only really sell to people who do not realise that Sega MD games were never officially sealed. Blister pack are the other kind, and these are more popular as whilst they are not official Sega, they are authentic and hard to replicate.
Also...this would make you mental, but I'm more of a player/ collector. I don't give a shit about boxes. I just buy stuff I want to play. No particular desire to complete any collection. So... lots of loose carts and dmg'd jewel cases.
Godspeed to that finish line man!! SEGA should be notified immediately when you hit your goal.
🤣 I'll make sure they know.

It's such a great arcade stick and brilliant for so many games.
Great Pick ups! got myself a 3 button boxed controller recently.
Very nice 👍, I'm after a six button myself.
@@randomretroplays3123 that's next on the list! They are hard to find though. Good luck.
Nice, I've just bought another MD MK2 pad.
That’s some solid pick up’s dude and nice to hear your going to get some more Master System games
It's slowly progressing, I'm going to hit a wall very soon as the prices start to rise.
@@RetroGamerBoy well I know sms has gone stupid and cost me towards the end of my full set and MD is the same so definitely not pushing for a full set 😂
Nice addition to your collection Mike! Wow, you managed to find the power stick II, that is absolutely awesome! 😍
Yes, and in good condition as well which is a bonus.
It keeps getting better Mike. The more I see your Mega Drive collection, the more I want to do so myself. 8^)
Anthony..
Anthony you must have a huge Neo Geo collection now?

Yup, it's slowly coming together, I think all the games from now on are usually £100+ so I'm going to have to work for those deals.
Yeah I feel ya pain! There are still around 45 I still need to get and it's gotta be 30 of those are £100+ eeeek! Ah well happy hunting!

Woo man am jealous of that joystick. Nice score. Always likes to see your collection. Gives me ideas what to go play for the week. . Thanks Mike .
No worries, I'm hoping to pick up some great titles next month.
Nice one Mike some great pickups there. Very exciting with the finish line so close. Enjoy it buddy
It's starting to get very expensive now.😬
Again a very nice video. Will there be a Q&A in the future? I'm sure there are many who have questions about you and your collection🙂
I can do one. I'm not sure if anyone is interested in what I have to say.😅
I enjoy and love seeing your pick ups your nearly there to the finish line Mike
Close but also so far away.
Thanks for keep supporting my fav console I love your videos
Thanks for supporting the channel 👍
What app do you use Mike to track the games you need in your collection and alerts you when places have games in stock?
I use Retro Game Collector.
"I may pick up some Master System games as well..." [ominous music]
That Master System collection needs more love.
Wishing you all the best to the finish 👍
I'm hoping to get more games at the London gaming market today.
@@RetroGamerBoy Cool :)

Yup, I've seen this on the Genesis. I thought it was just the manual, I've not seen the sleeve as well.
Nice pickups....❤
Thanks, there was an ok selection this month.
The question is: When you were having troube with Dick Vitale's hoops, did call the hotline on the back of the box?
Multiple times. Weirdly Sega Head picked up every time.
@@RetroGamerBoy this checks out. I believe you.
😂 I love the thumbnail!
😂 thanks
Well done on picking up the arcade stick! I picked one up a year ago and it’s now my default controller. Was bugs bunny any good?
It's a great controller. Bugs Bunny is ok, a solid 7/10. Nice graphics, nice audio, very average platform play.

We all collect and play what we can. What was the last game you added.
@@RetroGamerBoy I got RISKY WOODS, love that game. Also I just ordered 9 more , 6 cartridge only and 3 boxed 👍.
Mike that is Awesome but I gotta know when you have collected everything Mega Drive what is next Sega Saturn or Sega Dreamcast?
32x & Mega CD first lol
Mega CD and 32X
Is Dragon Ball Z a PAL release? Thought it was Portuguese only from memory?
Portugal is a PAL territory.

i'd like a power stick 2, but only if its a japanese version due to microswitches
