And what's wrong with that ??...A free ferry trip,plus Parma Ham and a glass of Red wine,pull into Lagos,release the shark,then straight out for a bit of White Marlin fishing...If that fails ,motor up to the cliffs off Sagres for a bit of epic reef fishing.

@@TAFishing What's wrong with that is that you would be seriously lost. I think you would be hard pushed to find Parma ham sold in preference to the Presunto as made here in Portugal. A bit further East and you could get Jamón in Spain then across the Med to Italy where you will getyour Parma ham.

Its a good sign to see Tuna coming back, but for how long, I hope we dont get sold down the river on fishing by the government, then perhaps our fishing will return and shore anglers might see a fish.

I'm very late to the party at this place. I know they don't get huge fish (watch this space !) but it is an absolute gem of a spot and its the old clinker boats that i love fishing from. I have plans for Porbeagle and Thresher sharks if we ever get the reins on this awful virus.

Yep great video. I'm in the USA Tennessee we dont get to see those amazing wooden boats love to see the motor in this one. I'm and enthusiasts on wooden boats not many it Tennessee. Reelfoot lake in Tennessee Calhoun's stump jumpers I had the pleasure of renting them years ago in my teens . They were tough had to be stumps in the earthquake made lake hundreds of them. Cypress stumps they last forever in water. The stump jumpers boats were made out of cypress as well. You guys in the UK got some of the neatest boats. Small sea worthy ones your little yellow and white boat is awesome. Your a great fishermen down to earth old chap old salt of sea for sure.

Oh no...... Old classic boat. Love it. Just bought a timber classic last week. 25ft x 9ft Draws 3ft 6in and weighs 6 ton. Have not taken her out yet (Lockdown) but have started her up in the marina. Cant take much more of this, think I might blow up.

Great video nice fish also. I'm probably much like you I much rather ocean fish even if it's just off a pier or off of a jetty then freshwater fish anyday. I guess it's just preference or what you're raised into. Also may I add great videos with great camera work and great audio much appreciated. I don't know too many people with experience that will go off coast solo like you do. Sometimes those are the best times fishing solo not having to chat or crosstalk. Keep up the good work your videos are always full of information.

I could see the Bluefin Tuna corridor alright,right in line with my chum slick...but you can't fish for them so I have no trouble adhering to the rules as I've caught them anyway.

No problem,I enjoy compiling them and getting all the different camera angles.Nothing worse than one shot with camera in just one position.But then I have always done photography for about 50 years.

Not where I live,50 miles inland from the nearest sea. There are loads of crab and lobster films out there,but its not rod and line fishing so not something I think I would be too interested in.
We catch dogfish on this side of the pond. Do yours have an accent??
Hey Graeme great video as always mate, you really have a knack for catching everything.
I was inspired by a few of the TH-cam fishing channels to get some larger hooks for my cheap Tuna/Shark rod & reel, I think I got a bargain with these Chemical Sharpened Hooks 72x Straight Shank 12/0 Nickle Plated Hooks + 50x Circle 20/0 Nickle Plated Hooks 71.85 AUD OR 37.82 GBP.
I only ordered 48x 12/0 Straight Shank & 50x 20/0 Circle but because I was charged double for shipping the guy gave me 24x extra 12/0 Straight Shank Hooks that were worth $5 more than the cost of the extra shipping price I was charged so I got a shit load of hooks. The 12/0 Straight Shank Hooks are roughly 85mm long x 30mm wide Hook opening & the 20/0 Circle Hooks are roughly 80mm long x 33mm Hook opening.
They're not Stainless, just High Carbon Steel that are Nickel Plated but I can soak them in a bit of fish oil when they are being packed away after use. I intend to use them with my Weiz 6'5" 2m Heavy Action 2 Piece Overbearing Fully Rollered 37-60kg / 80-130lb Overhead Big Game Tuna Boat Fishing Rod 1.6 Kg weight 110 AUD & PRO BEROS Aluminum DG50-II CNC Machined 2-Speed Fishing Reel, 38kg Drag, 0.8mm Mono 920m Capacity, 3.1:1/1.3:1, 1978g weight 384.99 AUD so all up the rod & reel cost me 494.99 AUD or 260.59 GBP.
My fastest fish got was with in 5 seconds. I just gave the fishing rob to my nephew and turn around an i got it

Just the man on the beach,in season of course,I believe they are out of the water in the winter..no idea now obviously as Lockdown on. I paid £100 for an average day,but its hourly so you could stay out longer and pay by the hour. And split between 2 or 3 brings the price down. I like to fish either on my own,or with son Mike.

I pay £100 for pretty much a day ,but you can stay out longer and pay hourly..If 3 people go it breaks the cost down.

GB is really blessed with good fishing water around. With the gulf stream you get sharks and other more southern species. Plus you can fish all the northern species too. greets from bad old germany
Ha ha. You would be a hoot to fish with. If ever you find yourself on the other side of the pond near Boston, look me up. Will take you striped bass and Tuna fishing.
Recognise that coastline in Devon.Good size Bluefins caught in that neck of the wood in 2019 by a small boat angler so methinks you might be going there again ''kitted up'' maybe later this year if Boris lets you.
The ones I saw jumping were 3/400lbs . Might be a bit much in the old boat and slow engine though. Plus you are not allowed to target them anyway .
Being that close to shore your cell phone should still work and you can google tide times at your location

Really great fishing video. I'm finding it more and more depressing watching these films with not being able to go out fishing myself due to the lock down. Appreciate the efforts in making these and keeping us all connected to fishing in some way until we can wet a line ourselves.
So pleased I have so many films in my files..I don't imagine other TH-camrs have taken this trouble but I was an Angling writer/photographer for magazines since 1968 and know the importance of holding stock items for bad times and Editorial deadlines etc...Moire films to come.
Really enjoyed that one Graeme, you reminded me of the old time "plate spinners", keeping every rod going and not dropping a fish! Well done mate.

You have certainly got a lot of good footage to share with us during the lockdown. This video was one of the best, not only for the fish but also your sense of humour. Now that boat is just the right size for me, I just want something that would get me half a mile off shore. I could not cope with the amount of rods you use three possibly four maximum would do. I assume your fishing Devon South Coast where you've fished in previous videos. Thank you for posting.

I can only speak for the average day I have as I paid £100 ,but you can take it longer/pay more and of course the more people sharing the cost is cheaper. I have no idea what prices will be this year(2020) .I have my own boat but with £30 fuel,£27 slip fee,and all the hassle of towing its not too bad as on the old wood boats I literally drive down and step aboard.

Ohhhh Graeme. What's your secret? I hauled a collapsible rod out of the bottom of a lake that looked better maintained than the gem you found in the bottom of the boat. Salt water must be the trick. Entertaining as always!

what nonsense it is, the boat don't even has a single rod holder. if a bigger fish such as tuna pull the rod with the reel will fly into sea.
Have you watched the film ? I am not fishing for Tuna.With shark fishing you have the reel on very light drag and the ratchet on.
Tuna will hit a wire trace.
