Another neat truck John. I like the painting. The detail on the 5th wheel looks like real use there. I am thinking of using some Acrylic gloss medium mixed with some pigment powders to replicate the shiny grease. I will find out anyway.
@@andyroo3022 Glad you like the old Pete Andy! I sure enjoyed building her! Yeah those sound like a good idea in terms of replicating the grease on the fifth wheel.
Peterbilt and Kenworth painted the engines white. Detroit Deisel was turquoise green, Cummins a tan beige, and Cat yellow International Harvester red snd Ford blue. Grew up around trucks during that era
Im building this, i wasn't sure I had the rear end right. Thanks for the video, I appreciate it!
@@leegreen2163 Sweet! Glad I could help Lee!

Thanks Al! This Pete has definitely been a joy so far!
Nice work ! I'm actually restoring the same old kit that I got from a retired fellow!
Very nice Shane! This Pete was definitely a fun build! I grabbed another one the other day from Hobby Lobby!
Never seen that blue on a model, great choice. Excellent detail for the engine and dash.
Hey Thanks Dillan! The color I used on this Pete 359 is Gloss Lagoon Blue from Rustoleum!
Great build. Love it.
Thank You Steve! Glad you love the old 359!
