    • @formes2388
      @formes2388 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      No. You presume Incompetence, unless evidence suggests otherwise. However - minor Incompetence, and major incompetence are two different things. It is one thing to be struggling and do a poor job, it is another to blatantly lack the qualifications, and fundamental understanding to do a position and to push your way into it anyways.
      Any position of Critical importance, or of Great Authority, must be held to a high standard; any demonstration of repeat incompetent behaviour must be treated as malicious - as the individual MUST be aware of their capabilities, and either be actively seeking remedy, or - the damage their incompetence will cause is of extreme nature, and as such - the individual MUST be treated whether intentional or not, as if they are a malicious actor.
      The last several decades of people spouting out that all politicians are the same has spread such FUD that this has been allowed to get systemically worse. There was a time when a scandal like this would have had the relevant politician resign from office. The Scandals of the current Liberal Federal government would have sank any other political party years ago. And yet, because we have just accepted that corruption, and incompetent leadership from politicians - it has been allowed to be normalized; and one of the worst offenders is the main stream media.

    • @Furzkampfbomber
      @Furzkampfbomber 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When I look at the german government, malevolence and incompetence have become identical. Because a competent politician is well aware that he or she does not know everything and is willing to listen to advice. Now _my_ government is a bunch of incompetent morons and university dropouts with _no_ education whatsoever, who think they know everything and they know everything better. Also, they are completely immune to advice.
      A german magazine had to sue the government to get access to the papers the scientific service of the government created before the green party shut down our last three nuclear power plants - in the winter and in the middle of an increasing energy crysis. Turns out that they told the government very, very clearly that this is a very, very stupid idea and would harm the german economy as well as the people immensely. Not a single fuck was given by those ideologues, because they have their agenda and because, as always, the children's book author and moron that is called our vize-chancellor and minister of economy knew better.
      They are incompetent and they use their incompetence as a weapon against their own people, so incompetence and malevolence are inseparable when it comes to those people.

The rampant corruption in not only the federal government, but also the provincial governments is absolutely deplorable. These politicians need to be investigated and fired from their positions. I can't use the word bribe but money changes hands or something is built for free that no-one wants or needs and planning gets miraculously passed despite hundreds of objections and some councillors speaking out against certain planning applications. Thanks for covering this and shouting out Edison Motors: those guys are just Phenomenal and their newest self designed Hybrid Heavy Hauler "Topsy" is something to behold in real life! The videos don't do her justice.
    Ever since I first saw their ideas for the 1 ton pickup conversion kit I was sold but I had to have that terrible thought of "someone is going to buy them out and gut them" and I hate that that is where late stage capitalism, and overzealous intellectual property protection is overriding the rights of peoples ownership of a thing, and the right to repair said owned thing.
    Edison's core principle is that you gotta be able to fix this in the middle of the bush, an hour or more drive from even a paved road, let alone a town with a mechanic, if you have a breakdown; it can be life or death if you can or cannot fix your rig and during my 9 years in the Northern Alberta oil & gas fields I was in that spot more than a time or two, and the first time I could do nothing to get up and running again without having a Code Reader for my truck: bullsh!t, 8 am, coming off nightshift, middle of nowhere out past Pink Mountain and its -35 in the middle of febuary... luckily a guy going past did have one and helped me out for a couple joints, great dude wonder what happened to him. Worst about that situation is When you need a tow there are 0 companies in those areas that will tow you off radio controlled roads for less than $2000; pricks know if your on those roads you probably make really good money so they'll fleece ya real good...I had one quote me 4.5 hours of wait and $2175 to come to the camp 2 km off the highway so we strap towed my truck to the highway and I called them again "oh we can be there in 45 mins and it'll be $645" like f**k you, you miserable ba$t@rds...
    Not only is the Right To Repair a foundational part of technological innovation, but companies need to return to the form where things were built with "Easily Fixing What Will Break" in mind.

    This is as stark as government embezzlement gets. Create a program to dole out tax money and make sure some of your friends get a cut. It's sad to see money that is supposed to be going towards the betterment of society be squandered constantly. This sort of thing is not always so obvious and it's happening all the time.

    This is a little confused. MNP, the accounting firm hired by BC government to administer and evaluate a grant program that Edison applied to, denied Edison's grant application. Then they turned around, and emailed Edison from the MNP account "hey, we noticed you're having some trouble applying for grants, we specialize in helping companies write grant applications, and you will be more successful if you go with us for a small 20% fee". They're using the insider, privileged knowledge they gained from administering the program, to drum up business for their company. That is SCUMMY, and probably illegal, the government doesn't (normally) take kindly to this kind of stuff. Except in BC. Because it's the Best Place On Earth(tm).

      Do i really need to point out how Boeing would've gone bankrupt many times over if not for being subsidized by the public? How about Walmart? They are one of the largest welfare queens in the world due to the government providing food stamps, housing assistance, and much more to their employees because they aren't paid a living wage.
