If you don't do weight training then why you need whey. Whey protein helps to recover breakdown muscles and muscle breakdown happens during weight training. Don't waste money on way. Invest money for fat burner like lipo 6 and then do cardio etc. It will more effective for your goal❤

They also contain a complex carbohydrate called raffinose which human digestive system is unable to break down due to lack of appropriate enzymes. These can ferment in the gut and cause gas and more bloating. Trying to achieve a high-protein diet through these foods will require consuming them in large quantities, and that may cause digestive issues for some people. Maybe try reducing your lentil and beans intake for a few weeks and see what happens. Drinking large quantities of milk can also cause digestive issues for some people. So if you are drinking a lot of milk then try cutting that down and seeing the effect. You can consume more milk products like dahi and paneer which are easier to digest, to maintain your protein requirement instead of drinking milk. Also milk and milk products are good for bulking since they have a good protein content and are also calorie-dense. You can also eat other calorie-dense foods with good protein content, like nuts. Peanuts and peanut butter are good choices because they have a good amount of protein and are high in calories due to unsaturated fat content. Peanut butter can also be made inexpensively at home.

Whey protein, soy protein concentrate/isolate, seitan, nutritional yeast are the only somewhat lean vegetarian protein sources which I know. Major vegetarian sources of protein are lentils and pulses, milk products, nuts, etc all of which contain a good quantity of carbs or fats. Defatted soy flour products like soya chunks have quite a bit of carbs but also have high protein. For example 100g of dal has around 20g of protein and 350 calories, while 100g of soy chunks has the same 350 calories but comes with 50g of protein. If you can afford it, whey protein or plant-based protein supplements can be a lower-calorie source of protein. Usually they have 25g of protein and 120 calories or so for 30g scoop. Whey protein isolate powder has slightly higher protein content than whey protein powder, but it is more expensive. Some other vegetarian protein sources are there like seitan (75g protein in 100g product, 360 calories) but they are not easily available in India
