An alternative method to removing the shelf, if you want to replace the speakers: if you are replacing the speaker grills, break the plastic grills away from the screws; use a 3/4 inch to one inch hole saw, set in a right angle drill, and drill through the fiber/plastic shelf to the metal shelf: then, you can use a deep socket to take out the two-headed screws retaining the speakers.
thanks for the great info bro...do u know how to fix a jammed rear seatbelt for this vios/yaris? apreciate if u can post it as my rear seatbelt is jammed probably due to passnger over pulling it

Sounds like the retractor went into reverse lock should be the same procedure for front seat belts have you tried forcing it to pull up or pulling hard about half inch to inch it should release it worse case scenario the retractor is damaged and need to be rebuilt or get another one from a salvage yard
