He's grabbing a stock Coleman mini bike and turning it into a hotrod with some performance parts and good ol' elbow grease. I have a CT200U with the Stage one 212 Hemi Predator and a torque converter. It’s a blast! Goes about 50 mph with governor in place. Great fun! Get some Kenda Scorpion tires!
That's cool! Yeah if it's mainly on the street, centrifugal clutch and governor delete works fine. If you ever want to climb some very steep nasty trails, or go in sand, etc.. then you'll want the TC with lower gearing on the sprockets. It's amazing how much fun a minibike can be. ;-)
Check out a 60t rear sprocket, and even a 9t front for extra torque down low with or without a torque converter. Since you deleted governor it'll still have good top end. You can get a good steel one for cheap on ebay (it is an e-tailer selling on ebay) for $20 free shipping. I'll put link in next post since it'll have to be approved by Revzilla YT channel probably. Seller is "monsterscooterparts" on ebay, they also have regular website. Historically they sell out quickly but have some in stock ATM. Listing is named "#40/41/420 Chain - 60 Tooth Rear Sprocket for Mini Bikes". It has the correct bolt pattern for this minibike. Gopowersports is only other place that has one and they are like $60 + shipping there. I have one, they are good quality. You'll want this mod.

You'd be money ahead and surprised if you just took the governor out of that stock engine. I've been rockin' my stock engine, minus the governor for years now! Yes, if you run full tilt all the time eventually it will blow but it does take a lot to blow it up.

I love it! Lemmy, you might like to hear about a little thing that's been going on for a few months in college station, tx. We have been racing modified razor mx350's and rsf350's at an empty parking lot weekly. We have modified these toy bikes with bigger electric motors, better controllers, and some hot swappable tool batteries. We set some cones out, and get to racing. It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys and at $300 for a full setup, it's pretty easy for anyone to afford.
