Now i really fallen for the three of you guys thank you so soooo much for reacting to this please don't drop this i promise every episode give a lot more meaning and understanding towards people with autism and how special they are how they can do anything what ordinary people do. 💜🥰
im so glad you guys gave this show a chance...since you guys enjoyed this I'm even more curious now to see you guys react to Twenty Five, Twenty One and Our Beloved Summer!!! both on Netflix as well. I'd argue these two shows are even better than AttorneyWoo.
Fun fact: That actor that plays her love interest, he's the latest heartthrob in Korea, so much so that fans are actually volunteering to collectively do his 1 year of required military service on his behalf, just because they don't want him off screen, lol. Also, the actress is just playing the role. She's so good that the creator of the show put this show on hold for a whole year so she would be free to do this show.
Park Eun Bin (Attorney Woo) is a phenomenal actress. She has been acting since she was a child. She actually turned down this role and filmed the drama The King's Affection (also on Netflix). And the director and writer of this felt so strongly that she was right for this part that they waited a full year for her to finish the other drama to convince her to play Woo Young Woo.
OMG! 3 American Guy watching a non violence K drama 😅😅 with a open mind set!!! No prejudices no criticism. Wow! Thank you guys for being accepting Asians productions. Koreans media and entertainment products is on another level.
I know Im so excited. All the reactions on the internet are for the violent shows (Squid game, all of us are dead, my name, sweet home, extracurruicular) adn not the "classic" k-dramas. I"m excited for more classic 16 episode wholesome dramas to get some attention. SO SO EXCITED!
Fun fact for the actress, Eun-Bin, the producer wanted her and her only to portray this character as they believed she only could pull it off. She firstly refused because she didnt felt like she would be able to represent autism spectrum disorder well without it being cliché or totally inaccurate. But the director and producer still push for her till she finally took the challenge and studied the matter very closely. She's done a wonderful work here
As an autistic person her effort is appreciated but this rep was not good rep because she followed the dsmp which is more or less the diagnosis of men and she’s a woman. Not to mention she is playing the same stereotyped autistic person as every other autistic character in film ( robotic and incredibly smart.) personally as an autistic person the best rep I’ve seen in a kdrama was it’s okay to not be okay. All that aside to though the kdrama was pretty decent .
It's nice to watch with you guys and not being terrified of zombies, monsters or love sausages. It's such a heartwarming show. I agree, the writing is excellent. Cant' wait for the next episode.
I don't know or speak Korean myself, but I've seen in other comments that when Suyeon asks Youngwoo "Are you stupid?", it is in a way a friend would ask a friend, or even a maternal figure would ask their child. It was affectionate and full of worry, not necessarily entirely rude. Looking forward to more reactions of this incredible Kdrama!!
Yeah, it's not very harsh in Asian, or at least, here in China (guessing it's the same in Korea and Japan, not sure about other parts of Asia). The 'are you stupid?' is more like, 'I can't believe you're so dummmmb!' kind of thing, rather than insulting. I'm not sure i can explain it properly.
@@jelly4074 > Asians do have show their affection by anger Hm, I guess if my friend points out my mistakes that makes me aware of them and thus capable of correcting them, enabling me to do better in life going forward. A kind of tough love?
The fish-like thing is bungeoppang, a street food in Korea. It is a food made by putting red beans in a flour bread mold that looks like a fish. The meaning of bungeo is carp. The meaning of ppang is bread. Put them together. Bungeoppang
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! MY JAW DROPPED WHEN I SAW THIS HOLY SHIT! Can't believe you guys are reacting to this!! It's in my top 3 fave Kdrama!!!! The emotions I've felt seeing this show made my heart feel so many things. It's so beautiful, can't wait thank you!!!!!!!💜💜💜💜
New to this channel... And never seen any of your other reactions but I decided to watch because it was so refreshing to see those outside of Asian culture appreciating the beauty of Korean dramas... I came in with high hopes... But, of course, dude with the yellow shirt had to immediately make a Jackie Chan reference... Which he thought was just SO FUNNY. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
@saralu he's not being disrespectful. obviously since like you said you're new to the channel you don't know that they constantly quote things from the rush hour movies no matter what they are watching, kdrama or not. they quote gestures or sayings from anything they've seen but mostly rush hour since that's one of their fave movies. it's all in good fun and a normal thing to do. i do it everyday as well with my sisters. if we have a memory from a movie or show we'll quote it and laugh about it. other youtube reactors do it too. most ppl do it everyday. it's meant not to be rude or insensitive to ethnicity etc.
@@saralu533 You're new here. The Rush Hour references are not meant in a malicious way. They regularly quote rush hour movies among other things when reacting to content, even the non-KDrama/Kpop content. Check out their other reactions please :)
@@Mercedes.375 I get what you're saying and as I continued to watch, I did notice that the two other gentleman made references to other movies and other non-Asian actors. I also found the other gentleman to be extremely respectful and knowing of what the actual content of the show was and willing to learn. Just as I was thinking the Jackie Chan thing was just a fluke and yellow shirt dude may not be that ignorant, he chimed in again when the other two men said they want to visit Korea. His response was, "Moo shu." It is 100% known that this is set in Korea. They're speaking Korean. It's literally a KDRAMA. The other men know it's Korean. They're making references to Korea all the time. But the yellow shirt dude thinks he is going to eat Moo shu if he goes to Korea. Yet again, this is another Jackie Chan reference from when he spoke about Moo Shu in Rush Hour, or perhaps it's this guy's favorite thing to order everytime he orders Chinese food. Whatever the case, if you're going to take the time to react to a Korean television show, it's best not to lump the characters and culture in with Chinese references. It's offensive. It's ignorant. And for those that will say that he didn't know the difference or he doesn't know Korean dishes or he was just joking, then maybe he should refrain from saying anything until he learns a bit more about the culture.
@@saralu533 yea i definitely understand your point of view! but they are honestly some really nice guys and aren't trying to be ignorant or offensive. most people in the world are intentionally and I think that's worse. But bringing light to things that are offensive is definitley good so that people are aware moving forward!
So happy you guys are branching out and enjoying this drama! I love action and thriller as much as anyone else, but this one is funny, heartfelt and brings awareness to some societal issues and prejudices. Can't wait to see more!
The hardest thing for Autism people is physical contact or any interaction especially how to feedback with your emotions tho they knew what's going on but they don't know how to respond back to it. Fun fact the producer of this Drama has been focused on Eun Bin (Yong woo) for so long that he/she decided not to getting any actress at all it has to be one and only
she is such an amazing actress! I've watched her in another drama and it was hard to recognize her at first and it doesn't feel cringy like when you see other actors playing someone who is developed mentally delayed or have special needs.
@@susu_m at first she felt worried about her acting skills it's not about the perfection it's all about the image Eun Bin has told her fear to the media that she felt anxious about acting as an Autism person because it could made an controversy about portraying the autism
Actually that’s not necessarily true. We’re all a little different in how we present. Some of us over empathize. We’re mostly a study in extremes. If you’re interested in learning more from us about our own lived experience there are more and more autistic authors and artists finding ways to express what it’s like to be us.
@@UserName-vb4lg very true, every individual with autism is different and many traits aren't the same to everyone. but one thing in common is that their brain works in a special way! my boyfriend has ASD yet his love language is physical touch hehe
As some one who follows your channel AND loves this drama... You really need to understand that this type of Kdrama isn't nearly the same as the Kdramas you've seen so far. It goes by the 'typical' Kdrama formula - romantic, bright, slo-mo swooning scenes, not too plot based, more case based, and it carries a light and happy tone to it. BUT the cases are extremely interesting, there definitely is a bigger plot as you keep watching, the characters are amazing and it is well done on representing autism and I LOVED the romance. Are u sure this is your cup of tea? Are you SURE? Because I hope I get to see you guys enjoy this, and I am a little worried ya'll are going to get disappointed that this isn't anything like you've seen with Kdramas yet.
I don't think they'll be disappointed if they liked ep. 1 so much. For each ep. we get more and more attached to the characters and fascinated by the great variety of cases. The humour is also very in tune with theirs.
The way you guys were unintentionally smiling through the whole reaction... ❤️ This kdrama is definitely one in a million and deserves all the love it is getting.
Okay so if you like this show you have to watch “it’s okay to not be okay” that’s a great show as well and also bring awareness to autism and people with cognitive disabilities. Also an awesome story with some mystery
As someone with a physical disability and has a sibling with a mental disability, I hated how they showcased mental health in that show. It was far from realistic, over dramatised and exaggerated to a point of embarrassment all for the sake of creating added sensationalism. Props to "Our Blues" for actually casting someone with a disability and showing a more realistic take on it. I highly recommend "Our Blues" and of course "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" as well. "It's Okay to not be okay" is just overrated and pretty bad with a predictable, rushed storyline so it's better to skip that drama.
There aren't many K-Drama reaction channels on TH-cam, mostly anime and stuff. Love your guy's reactions. Especially with your enthusiasm and attention to detail! (recognizing returning actors/actresses). Keep on going!
At the last scene, the CEO called Woo Young Woo's father as "Sun-Beh". It means Woo Young Woo's father and the CEO studied at the same school(Dept. Law, Seoul National Univ.) Woo Young Woo' father was senior to the CEO and the CEO was junior to Woo Young Woo's father. In this relationship, the CEO calls Woo Young Woo's father as "Sun-Beh" That's why there were so many books about Law in Woo Young Woo's house and she read and memorized them all. Ps) the meal that Woo Young Woo eats every time is KIM BOP, not sushi.
The actress who woo young woo actually went and spoke to a specialist in autism so she didn't disrespect those who have it and deal with the struggles of over stimulation daily.. I watched this entire series in two days it was that good another one to check out is the untamed with Wang yibo and Xiao zhan
20:30 the main lead did tons and tons of research so she could play someone with autism accurately and respectfully. finding that out made me respect her acting and her so much more it's so refreshing to see. also loved this reaction, this is the first video of yours that im watching and you guys are so fun!
so glad you're checking out some of the more typical style k dramas. Others have mentioned "It's okay to not be okay" which honestly is in my top 5 best k-dramas and it does a similarly great job introducing awareness about mental illness, autism, and much more. It's also a wild story and then also SO creative and beautiful visually. BUT I also feel like ya'll would LOVE Itaewon Class and Crash Landing on You. These are also top-tier and just...aamazingggg. I love that you're diving into slightly different genres in your consumption of Korean entertainment and I love ya'lls openness, great commentary and the encyclopedic Rush Hour references...you never fail me!
Woo Young Woo has a fixation on sea mamals and whales particularly. She does listen to whale sounds to calm herself and you see whales and other sea mamals cause she has a very vivid imagination.
!! SORRY THIS IS SO LONG BUT I PROMISE IT’S INTERESTING FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW A LITTLE MORE ABOUT AUTISM!! as a sibling of a person of autism, i saw so many similarities between young-woo and my older brother. both of them are adults but young-woo is more high functioning than him! (this means that she’s capable of doing a lot things by herself). as you maybe saw in the subtitles, young-woo called it ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and i wanna bring light to the word SPECTRUM! it’s brought up in episode 2 but autism is somewhat organized in a scale from low functioning to high functioning. an example of a low functioning autistic person would be someone who needs constant care because they’re at constant danger of harming themselves or others like running away or hitting etc or maybe they’re unable to speak in complete sentences; it can vary. high functioning autistic people can also vary but they’re normally able to communicate well, can be by themselves for days without anything dangerous happening, and so on. my brother is high functioning bc he’s able to make his own food, use the stove, communicate his wants, and even participate in some sports like bowling. i hope you guys enjoy this show because i’m truly in love with the story and the representation it brings to autistic women because there’s also a lack of rep for the women since they’re actually known to be diagnosed later than men. my brother was diagnosed at 3 and young-woo at 5, and this can be considered lucky bc some women have said they weren’t diagnosed until their teens. naturally, i have my criticisms but this show is so enjoyable and was truly what we needed this year! imma leave some facts and habits from autistic people that might help bring some understanding of young-woo during the show! - during their younger years, it’s common for parents to think their child is deaf rather than autistic because they don’t respond to their name or just any form of call. this is because they can hear you but they can’t comprehend that you’re speaking to them. think of it as them assuming it’s background music or noise when you’re outside, you ignore it and continue on. - every autistic person usually has something they like to collect, talk about, and study. for young-woo, it’s sea animals specifically whales. for my brother, it’s any form of older technology like video cassettes and nintendo 64 games etc. it’s common for them to talk endlessly about that subject and sort of “info-dump” when they see the opportunity haha! i’ve set boundaries with my brother bc it can become a lot but i do enjoy it every now and then. my brother has memorized dates on different cds and enjoys being asked at what year certain songs came out from his collection ☺️ - people with autism have been known to struggle with expressing emotions. a common thing that i’ve seen in many autistic people (NOT ALL) is when asked to smile for a photo, their face stays blank. it’s usually bc it’s where their face feels most comfortable. so sometimes they need help to express certain emotions during certain social situations. - please try your best to not assume all autistic people are introverted or shy! many love being around people and interacting but even then it’s harder for most. lots of autistic people enjoy hanging out, being with friends, etc. - loud noises are difficult for autistic people and it can be range from finding it annoying to it leading to full on panic or anxiety attacks. for example, it’s common to fear planes, balloons, dogs barking, fireworks, etc. my brother is specifically very sensitive and he has full on anxiety whenever holidays like New Years and 4th of July arrive bc they shoot many fireworks. i have developed a huge intolerance to fireworks shooting in highly populated neighborhoods bc it’s so inconsiderate and it hurts to see him like that. he tells me he FEELS the fireworks when he’s touching the ground to give some perspective.
Thank you for all that you have shared here and being an awesome sibling and advocate for your brother. ❤❤❤ I have a non-verbal teenager on the spectrum and was waiting to have this show to be aired in full before I started watching cos I know it will hit hard. But after seeing a couple of my fav reaction channels starting on it, y wait, I'll just join the ride. I love the genuine reactions of these guys - they are impeccably funny and very perceptive.
Thanks for sharing and educating people! As an autistic AFAB person this show is so refreshing and heartwarming to me, as it's rare to see representation of autistic women and girls, and autistics actually allowed to be their own people - not plot devices in someone else's story. I'd also like to add that the show falls a little into the Autistic Savant trope and it's important to keep in mind that while some autistic people are highly intelligent and talented, autism is diverse and us autistics are all different people with different capabilities and interests, not everyone is going to be a secret super genius or in this case an Extraordinary Attorney lol.
I'm so glad your reacting to this. I love watching this dramas w/ reactors feel more enjoyable. I'm watching this w/ another reaction channel and still on ep 10.. So I'm just enjoying your reaction now, and Im happy for more.
Idk but There's this kind of satisfaction when you are watching other people's reactions while they are watching the drama you already watched. Hahah.. I like watching syntell, achara, kahla and tsuki's reaction vid watching EAW 😆. I love their reaction same as mine when I watch Atty woo ❤.
I appreciate this so much! I know that editing a 16-episode kdrama that lasts more than an hour is not easy. You guys are the best! Thank you. 😊 (If you guys want to check the Money Heist Korea as well, with 6 episodes 😊)
Important fact: Whenever she says her name, the 5 words she says are palindromes when written in Korean alphabet, just like her name. Literally translated, she's not actually saying "noon, kayak, racecar" etc. They're just using English examples of palindromes, like Spanish caps might say "ojo" or French may say "mon nom." That said, you guys just keep staying in my heart and watch history, don't you? lolol 🥰🥰🥰
Great choice. Kingdom, My Name, All of us are dead, etc. are *my* kind of k-genre but Attny Woo has overtaken them on my list. It's THAT good. A classic K-drama rom com for sure, but every episode makes you think about different real life issues - ableism, our subtle prejudices, there not being clear right and wrong in many cases. Please keep this up.
I’ve been watching K-Drama for 3.5 years & Love It. Watching it w/you guys for the first time. What a Great Group of Awesomeness! I’m so pleased to have found this. Your group is very Entertaining. 🌺Mahalo for this new Journey w/ the 3 of you. Looking forward to more🥳
I just finished episode 14 and seen this while searching for short clips. I laugh so hard..can’t wait til ya’ll do more episode…I just love this series.
OMG, I LOVE you! I wrote a comment to you recently wishing for this series, and when this video showed up in my feed, I seriously made a little squeal of happiness! Enjoy!
This drama is Amazing. I love this actress Park Eunbin. Before this drama she did a Princess that has to substitute his brother (Kings affection), a wonderful drama too.
Good choice !! This one is my favorite these days. You're not gonna regret it . This show has everything. Something funny, emotional, romantic ...😍 I hope you like it. 🙏
You finally meet Woo Young-Woo. This is a good drama that will be in the top three this year. If you look at it, you'll feel like Woo Young-woo's dad. Please upload the next episode👍
OMG I LITERALLY SCREAM AND HUG MY DOG HAPPILY AFTER I SEE THE THUMBNAIL AND TITLE OF THIS VIDEO LOL, I'M SO HAPPY THAT YOU ARE WATCHING THIS DRAMA, THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST!!!
The actress that plays Woo Young Woo, also plays the lead in a drama called The Kings Affection. By the title, you might think its about a woman that is the kings woman, but it isn't about that at all. Its a really good drama with a lot of action and conspiracy.
The writer and director wanted Park Eun-bin to play Attorney Woo so badly that they waited a whole year for her to be available as she was shooting another drama when she was originally offered a job. I think they made the right decision. She's doing an amazing job!
I've been watching K-Dramas for over 10 years, and since I'm autistic myself, the ones with autistic characters always pull me in and end up being my favorites. Woo Young Woo, Good Doctor, It's Okay to Not Be Okay... There are many. Also, Because This is My First Life. (The male lead in that one has a lot of autistic characteristics, although they don't say that he is in it.) Queue autistic footnotes that no one asked for: Headphones- In public, I will have sounds playing from my headphones if I'm in a scenario where I'm in public and stationary, but if I have to have more awareness of my surroundings, sounds and/or music will be off so that I can ensure my safety while the headphones continue muffling out white noises. My youngest brother is autistic as well, and does the same thing. Face Chart - The expression charts are for helping determine what emotion is connected to each facial expression, since we are prone to misreading people's facial expressions and even body language. Not being able to talk: When I was younger, similar to Young Woo, I had selective mutism. I preferred not to speak unless it was about a subject that I enjoyed. As an adult, much like her having a hard time saying she was present to the judge, when put on the spot it can cause a lot of anxiety that causes me to become unable to speak, even if I really know that I need to in that moment. Especially in a setting where there is a lot of people, since social anxiety is a big factor. It's hard to explain that feeling, but it's kind of like... Due to the combination of anxiety, being the focus of attention and overstimulation of combined sounds and white noises (since headphones would be unprofessional in some settings), my brain short circuits and I can't speak until I recollect myself. Touching people- It is extremely uncomfortable to make bodily contact with people that I don't know well. Even having a stranger's coat graze me in passing is off-putting. I can touch very close family members, but not without some degree of it feeling strange. I try to ignore it though, since I care for them enough to receive a hug from them. Other people, even distant relatives, I tend to recoil from. Lastly, not all individuals with autism spectrum disorder are the same in these mannerisms, since autism, as the name suggests, is a disorder with a wide spectrum. Females also tend to present autistic characteristics different than males, so are often diagnosed at an older age or overlooked in screenings since they are typically much better at "masking", which is where we mimic the behavior that we see that others find socially acceptable in order to better fit in to societies standard of "normal" behavior. Basically, we're living a life where we are actors in front of the world, and can only be ourselves at home or in a safe space. Involuntary mimicry in itself is also very present, so her repeating the judge's words was a good example of that. I feel like the actress they picked did a phenomenal job at depicting autism, and I'm glad that this drama was able to bring a lot more understanding to neurotypical individuals who may have previously had preconceived notions about the disorder, especially in Korea where things like neurodivergency and disability aren't talked about much in the mainstream media, so are often widely misunderstood.
So excited for this!! I can also highly recommend "Beyond Evil" a Thriller/Murder Mystery Korean Drama. Beyond Evil and Extraordinary Attorney Woo have to be my favorite korean shows ever. Most kdramas can't measure up to the writing!
Interesting note about the translation on her introduction. She’s actually saying: 기러기 (goose), 토마토 (tomato), 스위스 (Swiss), 인도인 (Indian), 별똥별 (shooting star) which are palindromes in Korean but of course they don’t translate as palindromes in English, so the English subtitles replaced the words with English ones (kayak, deed, rotator, noon, racecar).
I just finished the series and I am in love with this show, I kept watching clips on TH-cam and I guess that's why your reaction came up on my feed, loved rewatching this with you, I think I said "damn!" just as much as you guys! Very cool, all of you. 💙
I love her. This was my first ever K show I ever watched. It appeared on Netflix. I watched the entire series. She deserves a K Emmy. I immediately found another series she played in, “The Kings Affection”. I watched it to the end and fell in love with her even more. Park is amazing.
OMG NO YALL DIDNT!! i actually am really excited that you guys are reacting to this!! i didn’t expect it but I’m glad it’s happening !as I’ve said b4 , love u guys commentary & reactions :))!! can’t wait!
3 out of my 4 children are autistic so this show really hit home for me I'm a huge k drama fan lol all asian dramas really there always really well made and put together but k dramas are my favorite
thank yall so much for watching this, i wasnt expecting it. im austistic and its such a meaningful and relatable show to me!! hope yall have fun and so gladnim a subscriber
Guys, I loved your genuine reaction to this wonderful K-drama. Subscribed and liked!! The scenes where they show whales flying around is a 10M- dollar CG work btw.
This one is really cute, realistic to an extent with the whole “being judge for being born a certain way”. But I’m sure you guys will love it and the mc
thank you for emphasizing "gimbap". Since Korea is still a small country, gimbap becomes Japanese food, kimchi becomes Chinese food, hanbok becomes Chinese clothes. Do you everyone know "Idol" by BTS and "How you like that" by BLACKPINK? In this music video, they dance in Hanbok. If you're curious, search for the music video. It would have been over a billion views. And BTS even hosted a kimchi-making broadcast on a TV show. Have you ever seen a situation where music and world stars are mobilized to protect history? I can't believe it, so I'm laughing. 😂 The situation is very serious now. I think it is because it is the weakest in Northeast Asia. It seems that being strong is the only way to live.
People generally don't know the differences between gimbap and sushi because they look the same. Kimchi is called "pao cai" in Chinese, which means "fermented vegetables", which has been mistakenly assumed as China appropriating kimchi when that's not the case.
Omg I love this drama so much! So glad y’all are watching and reacting to it. I’m new to your channel but I hit that subscribe button right away. Can’t wait for more!
Oh my goodness!!!! I've been gone for a minute and you all are doing this series!!!! I can't believe it!!! This was couple weeks back, but when I heard all the hype about this show and saw that it was was #5 on Netflix and #1 in Non-English section, I knew it was going to do numbers!!! But I did not know that any male youtubers will pick up the show because it's part romance. But I should have known better!!! As you said great writing & acting will get you!!! So proud you gentlemen that you picked up the show!!! Now that I know that you will react to good shows, maybe in the future, you can react to another show that received great reviews earlier this year. It's not from Netflix but from Apple TV+. The Korean series is called, "Pachinko" from the novel by Min Jin Lee. When it came out in March if this year, they were getting great reviews and said this series would do for Apple TV+, what Squid Game did for Netflix. Anyways, I am so proud of you all for stepping out to the unknown, in the K-drama game!!! Keep the reactions coming!!!! 😘👍✌️ P.S. It's ok to get choked up with tears, Toby ~ Cuz we all know that this will not be the first time or the last time~😉✌️
Finally, you guys are reacting to a K-drama more typical to many K-drama lovers and you guys liked it better than others. Not that those were bad, but this kind of Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo drama moves your heart as well as entertaining. Hopefully, you guys choose more of these and mix it up. It's a great decision to start this now without waiting for Sweet Home to end. Two Thumbs Up!!! It's a little too early to talk about the next drama, but consider something you can learn about Korean history such as Mr. Sunshine. This has rom-com, action and history lessons. Btw, Lee Joon Ho looks familiar probably because he resembles the brother of the archery girl I think.
The Premiere for this Episode was a Masterpiece. A well deserved, beautifully written 10/10

I love Eunbin so much! She 's a phenomenal, actress!
It's nice to watch with you guys and not being terrified of zombies, monsters or love sausages. It's such a heartwarming show. I agree, the writing is excellent. Cant' wait for the next episode.
Love sausages?
Love sausages???
Lmao love sausages the boys right?
@@pjmnglow yup, The Boys!! I love that show too!
@@marianacarina2580 from The Boys on Amazon Prime. The guys reacted to that too. Check it out.
@@daisychong3488 I totally understand what you mean!
Ah. More like a, "get your stuff together." type situation?
Asians do have show their affection by anger, rather than straight forward words like “i love you”. 😵💫 It could be confusing in other languages

We love a man who can show his emotions freely
The fish-like thing is bungeoppang, a street food in Korea. It is a food made by putting red beans in a flour bread mold that looks like a fish. The meaning of bungeo is carp. The meaning of ppang is bread. Put them together. Bungeoppang

Guys you are one of the best K-drama reactors I've seen. Absolutely top notch. And I love how invested you are from ep. 1 on.
Thank you Marius

@@빈젠조 still wasn’t good autistic rep
Actually that’s not necessarily true. We’re all a little different in how we present. Some of us over empathize. We’re mostly a study in extremes. If you’re interested in learning more from us about our own lived experience there are more and more autistic authors and artists finding ways to express what it’s like to be us.
@@UserName-vb4lg very true, every individual with autism is different and many traits aren't the same to everyone. but one thing in common is that their brain works in a special way! my boyfriend has ASD yet his love language is physical touch hehe

I love autists in fact my brother is autistic but it makes me sad that your a homosexual
My jaw dropped when I saw this thumbnail. Such a fan of you guys, great content!
Her acting in this series is amazing. I love her so much I decided to go and check out her other shows too
The way you guys were unintentionally smiling through the whole reaction... ❤️ This kdrama is definitely one in a million and deserves all the love it is getting.
Okay so if you like this show you have to watch “it’s okay to not be okay” that’s a great show as well and also bring awareness to autism and people with cognitive disabilities. Also an awesome story with some mystery
Yes...strongly agree with you!!! 🌷
sorry that show sucked. can't agree
@@mariebaumbach7345 well to each their own. I enjoyed that show a lot.
Yes!!!!
Oh we will! Just waiting on the rest of the gang to return back to record more episodes!

In this relationship, the CEO calls Woo Young Woo's father as "Sun-Beh"

I watched this entire series in two days it was that good another one to check out is the untamed with Wang yibo and Xiao zhan
the boy with blue tshirt ,i love the way he comment about this kdrama

20:30 the main lead did tons and tons of research so she could play someone with autism accurately and respectfully. finding that out made me respect her acting and her so much more it's so refreshing to see.

so glad you're checking out some of the more typical style k dramas. Woo Young Woo has a fixation on sea mamals and whales particularly. She does listen to whale sounds to calm herself and you see whales and other sea mamals cause she has a very vivid imagination.
juvenile justice’s is a very underrated k-drama
Also Lawless Layer, The K2, Vagabond or Vincenzo
- every autistic person usually has something they like to collect, talk about, and study. for young-woo, it’s sea animals specifically whales. for my brother, it’s any form of older technology like video cassettes and nintendo 64 games etc. it’s common for them to talk endlessly about that subject and sort of “info-dump” when they see the opportunity haha! i’ve set boundaries with my brother bc it can become a lot but i do enjoy it every now and then. my brother has memorized dates on different cds and enjoys being asked at what year certain songs came out from his collection ☺️
- people with autism have been known to struggle with expressing emotions. a common thing that i’ve seen in many autistic people (NOT ALL) is when asked to smile for a photo, their face stays blank. it’s usually bc it’s where their face feels most comfortable. so sometimes they need help to express certain emotions during certain social situations.

Important fact: Whenever she says her name, the 5 words she says are palindromes when written in Korean alphabet, just like her name. Literally translated, she's not actually saying "noon, kayak, racecar" etc. They're just using English examples of palindromes, like Spanish caps might say "ojo" or French may say "mon nom."
That said, you guys just keep staying in my heart and watch history, don't you? lolol

I just watched the first episode; since you guys began to watch it, I said "why not?" 😏😏 I really liked it ! This seems promising and touching !
What I like the most about this kdrama is that all of the cases were real cases!!
(The male lead in that one has a lot of autistic characteristics, although they don't say that he is in it.)
Queue autistic footnotes that no one asked for:
Headphones-
In public, I will have sounds playing from my headphones if I'm in a scenario where I'm in public and stationary, but if I have to have more awareness of my surroundings, sounds and/or music will be off so that I can ensure my safety while the headphones continue muffling out white noises. My youngest brother is autistic as well, and does the same thing.
Face Chart -
The expression charts are for helping determine what emotion is connected to each facial expression, since we are prone to misreading people's facial expressions and even body language.
Not being able to talk:
When I was younger, similar to Young Woo, I had selective mutism.
Touching people-
It is extremely uncomfortable to make bodily contact with people that I don't know well.

It's a famous reaction restaurant, so I'm going to take a look. Thank you for watching the Korean drama and for your reaction.
Interesting note about the translation on her introduction. She’s actually saying: 기러기 (goose), 토마토 (tomato), 스위스 (Swiss), 인도인 (Indian), 별똥별 (shooting star) which are palindromes in Korean but of course they don’t translate as palindromes in English, so the English subtitles replaced the words with English ones (kayak, deed, rotator, noon, racecar).

thank you for emphasizing "gimbap".
The situation is very serious now.
I think it is because it is the weakest in Northeast Asia.
It seems that being strong is the only way to live.
Blatant cultural theft by China and Japan!~ Ask to historians Sushi(Gimbap) was originated from Korea.
People generally don't know the differences between gimbap and sushi because they look the same.
Kimchi is called "pao cai" in Chinese, which means "fermented vegetables", which has been mistakenly assumed as China appropriating kimchi when that's not the case.
Tough looking brothers are watching this emotional drama. Isn't it really cute?

I can't believe it!!! This was couple weeks back, but when I heard all the hype about this show and saw that it was was #5 on Netflix and #1 in Non-English section,
I knew it was going to do numbers!!!
P.S. It's ok to get choked up with tears, Toby ~ Cuz we all know that this will not be the first time or the last time~😉✌️
AWWW glad to hear yall like this show :") and its nice to see men be emotional 😭
this is how good atty woo is.. everybody is reacting to it now! keep up guys! youll enjoy
I am happy that I can see finally you guys' reaction for woo young woo. You guys alway show best reaction I am really looking forward to seeing
Can't wait for your reaction for ep.2! Hurry up~~~
Rj and jeff are on vacation so it will be a lil while
