I did the exact same build on the same white 2014 regular cab tacoma with a GFC, it's an amazing truck for a single person or a couple, short wheelbase and a full sleeping area, it's definitely too bad nothing like this exists in current production in the USA. I picked up mine with 53k miles a couple of years ago.
I’ve got the same single cab white Tacoma, but mine is a 2013 manual. I’ve also got a Four Wheel Camper Eagle model that I mount up for surf trips to Mexico and traveling around the western states. Just looked at OME lift yesterday. I’m going to build out the truck for overlanding/surf/MTB expeditions with a focus on keeping things light and under the GVWR. Thanks for sharing!
Great little truck. I’ve got an 09 with icon UCA’s, 886 springs and Holstein 5100’s up front and 2” All pro off road leafs in the back and toytec shocks. I’ve beat the living crap out of it. This rig will take you a ton of places.
Wonderful transformation and maintenance on a truck that you own brother. Take care and hopefully we see more from this little beast of a single cab work truck.
Heck yeah!!! So annoying this platform of a small truck with a SIX FOOT BED is no longer available in the states. Seems like 98% of vehicles have to have seating for 5 people eventhough most vehicles I see on the road everyday have only one person inside. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful, it looks like this gentleman is in black mountain truck trail idyllwild, CA. I might go to your same shop to get some work done on my v8 4runner.
I saw your build on the GFC gallery and I thought it was so cool. Then I found your video on the build and I seriously wish my wife would like 2 doors rn.
fire build bruh. this is the sort of build I wanna do after I pay my GR86 off. a single cab manual tacoma with a camper shell -- dark green or maybe the TRD orange
So funny. I have the same truck (manual), and did the same thing, and feel the same way. I love my "Toyota Jeep". I don't know where you took the forest shots, but they look a lot like Mammoth.
Lol, if you boys think that's rusty, head up to Atlantic Canada. A 10 year old truck there will have no rockers, need new brake and fuel lines, and require a torch to get any bolts undone. When I moved to BC, I couldn't believe how clean vehicles were.
Basil and the team crushed it. Mainly weight and simplicity.I already have a pretty dialed pop top camper in the Land Cruiser, so this truck fills a different void. Plus being only a 2.7L, keeping it light is key.
I paid $12,000 for the truck. GFC retails for $5800. Suspension kit from Mudify and OEM retails for ~ $5000. Labor for installs was about an 8 hour day so $1600
@@JimSlim7031 Unfortunately, in America you cannot get any single cab smaller truck anymore. Well besides the Santa Cruz and Maverick, but they're both not single cabs. Small trucks have been eliminated from the market due to EPA regulations.
facts I was gonna say this. but then he's right, it probably is the smallest real truck you can buy in the last 5-10 years or so. the mini truck segment is dead in American sadly
It's funny that you consider this a "mini" truck. where I'm from that's just a regular pickup, that's America for ya I guess. nevertheless, cool build brother!
Nice regular cab, we didn't get any up here in Canada, but "insane suspension"? Hardly. Don't get me wrong, what you did was nice but the clickbait title is so lame. piece!
I'm all for supporting epic builds like this but please when removing all those parts before putting in $4000 plus suspension why in the world would you not clean up the frame mounting points with brake clean an SOS pad and a $10 can of satin Rust-Oleum. With the detail in the videography was put in the installation this would be the highest quality type build.

As a Wisconsinite I audibly laughed when they commented on the rust 😅😂

Amazing! This one has almost 200k on the clock so its a bit more worn in... haha

Single cabs are cool. Everything you need and nothing you don't
Your videos are always at the intersection of art and utility. Well done sir.
Much appreciated! Thank you!
Single cabs in general a vibe, but the single cab tacoma is next level good vibes
Perfection!! Single can truck will always have a special place in my heart.
so sick, don't get rid of the steelies!!
never!
I’ve got a white 09 4wd single cab 2.7 manual
270k still runs great.
Outstanding videography! I do love me a good minimal offroader / overlander build. I feel like 9/10 shots in this vid are like perfection.
I appreciate it! Keeping it simple is underrated!
safety squint, chrome sockets on an impact #perfection. I'm also really glad you didnt put some dumb wheel on. the steelies are the best.
Looks rad. Miss my standard cab.
Look very purposeful and yet, somewhat stealthy as well.
Most perfect truck. Chef’s Kiss
Thanks for sharing your excellent work, bare hands hard working men ❤
I would sub alone just for the music choices in the background but the single cab does sweeten the deal
