This car is less responsive on stop start city driving. But you will enjoy it on a freeway that feels like driving a 2.5l engine. I tried driving it at kangaroo valley. The handling and stability was enjoyable on steep curve. I was surprised of the power it had doing a steep climb. The engine is not noisy on freeway and mountain during acceleration. All you can hear is a whistling sound of turbo. Nice comfortable car to drive.
Thanks again for another great review . Very impressed with your site . I have a 2008 Corolla hatch for work use and a 2009 IS 250 Lexus and really love the simplicity and ease of ownership with Toyota . Have been looking at the C H R as a replacement for both and this has helped . Thank you . Keep up the great Reviews .
Thanks for such a comprehensive overview. Even in the states where these cars are slightly different, we were able to enjoy your detailed commentary, thanks!
until now.. the look was aggressive and sporty, but the engine was for senior citizens.. barely shy of 12s for 0-60mph.. it was a bad joke.. Now the 2.0l hybrid has enough power to back up the looks.. its 8.2s for 0-60mph, thats perfect for normal people....
Wait for the GR Corolla arrive then have C-HR 1.2 L4 turbo intercooler into a Corolla replacing the dated 2.0 will make Corollas interestingly sporty and make GR C-HR happen.
UK get the best versions... 2020 facelift model now comes with the option of a brand new 'Dynamic Force' 2.0L Hybrid engine - *184bhp* . I've just recently picked up the limited "Orange Edition" model - it certainly looks like 🔥 Especially at night! This car really feels great, and the chassis can more than handle this new increased power, but they've further improved the suspension and wind noise to cushion the increased weight and reduce noise at high speed. The new 2.0L engine sounds far less tinny than the 1.8L. And the bigger Battery & more powerful electric Motors accompanied give much more torque low down in the acceleration! It's a lovely car. Shame about the other markers though 😕

SO gorgeous looking! Love it
Why can't the US get an updated C-HR, it's a great hatchback.

Yep. We are hoping the 2.0L hybrid is released in Australia - sounds like a great package!
Is it available in South Africa?
Good review. Liked the long shot of the rear door handles while you were getting into the back seat. :) No comment on rear headroom though?
CX 30 is the most appealing in the segment so far IMO Great review
Thanks, Bong!

We don't even have the Hybrid and/or the Turbo version in the US
What engine do you get?
@@chasingcars 2.0 Litre 4-Cylinder with a CVT transmission
If the US could get a beefier engine and AWD, I jump on it. It is fun and feels good, just underpowered compared to the competition in the US.

How do i turn on the projection logo? No reflection of the logo shows
Hi can I ask how much km per litre your car is running? Mine is at 15km per litre its so high only done 25000 on the clock
would love a comparison w/this and a 2020 MINI JCW Countryman and the new RAV4 300HP hybrid!! :) have yet to see such a VS type of video.
Wow - such different cars in different segments! Looking forward to driving the new RAV4 PHEV, though.
Sweet looking ride
Good review John, but you need to keep your hands on the steering wheel.
That yellow Testarossa at 9:16 tho!
So cool.
Its very expensive for a compact crossover. It starts at 33K!
In singapore we do get a powered drivers seat for the top of the range model. does anyone have any idea if a power passenger seat can be installed??
great review
can we also have a review on kia seltos please
Thanks! We are working on it.
Sadly in n. America we get only the anemic four pot with no turbo. And no awd! A snail is faster!
Sounds a bit boring - however this tiny turbo isn’t fast!
what are you expecting? To drag race in city traffic? It's adequate enough mate.
@@moeanthony9308 The chassis can handle more power so no reason to be so far below others in the class.
Have they changed the interior colour too? I don't remember it being brown before.
I think that might be a trick of the light - it is still black leather.
@@chasingcars cool.. Was worried they were going the way of the CX30
The terms “Piano Black” and “high quality” should never be used in the same sentence.

C-HR
GOOD, VY…
I love it so mad about it
Possibly Tom 2.0

😢so bad they only 😅bring one model to USA 2.0 natural gas 😩😩😩😩
He is wearing socks lol
Needs guts.
Your styling of wearing long black socks with sneakers and shorts is also not for everyone.
Zzzzzzzzz. -Tom
Ugh no John looks super hot like this, he should always get dressed like that.
I like the look.
