- This Medal of Honor Day, we remember the service and sacrifice of all recipients of the Medal of Honor.
To date, over 3,500 American service members have been awarded our nation's highest decoration for distinguishing themselves conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty. We honor their service.
On March 25, 2023, Medal of Honor Recipients gathered at Arlington National Cemetery for an annual reflection ceremony which included a wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Arlington was an acquisition by the Federal Government.
In the same manner, it broke all the Treaties with the First Nations, and took their lands, too.
