  • Decided to do a video showing my thoughts on how I would tackle these discs using the JFJ Easy Pro Plus. These include discs needing just buffing and polishing, but also discs that are really bad and required full course and soft sanding to get the desired results. The links to all the products I used in the video are down below. These are not sponsored links not do I receive any kickbacks for you using them, just what I find works the best for me.

    Jfj is king of repair machines

    For the games that have pitting I would rub some carnauba wax on it and then run it through the machine typically it will fill in the pit before I upgraded to my 3M sauce for the jfj. I saved alot of heavy hitters using the wax the only caveat is that it would make the pads hard after it dried up but you can leave the pads soaking in water and press out most of the old compound and wax out of it and it should make the pads softer again.

    Just because a game actually boots up, doesn't mean it will be playable all the way through. I generally rip every disc I resurface (if possible) to ensure the entire disc can be read. This is the only way to ensure the entire disc is readable. You can generally rip CD/DVD games using a PC but that is not always the case. OG XBOX games require a modded XBOX, Wii/WiiU games required a modded Wii/WiiU as console as well. Same goes for XBOX 360 games. I haven't tried resurfacing any PS4/XBOX One games nor have I ever tried ripping them so I don't know exactly how they would behave.

      Yea I mention this when I test the games at the end of the video. That there could always be a "bad data spot" on the disc and whenever you hit a certain part of the game or try to access a certain mode, it will just freeze up on that specific spot each and every time. Walmart has a 90 day refund period, so I usually just do quick tests on games that were in really bad shape, and if they pass that and at some point the customer has an issue they can refund it without issue.
      Unless they have visual pitting like with NFL Street, those do not get sold because I don't trust the pitted area to work correctly if it is ever needed for data.

      I’ll look to see if i have any blu-rays that are in bad shape. Usually the newer games come in pretty good condition. But i will keep an eye out 👍

    Thank you so much for a great video! Was fun to watch. I love my JFJ and i finally got a PS1 Black Disc with a mirror finnish. I used a Rupes fine polishing pad, did look a lot like the Bauer one, they dont sell Bauer in my country. I use Maguiars Ultimate Coundpond and Polish. Do you use the sandpaper from JFJ, or do you use something else?

      Happy you enjoyed it. Yea i just use the sandpaper that comes with the jfj. Not even jfj can mess up sandpaper 😂

    also have you got a tube in the machine for water if so that is a great idea

      Yea i am trying to get it dialed in right first. Right now the drip feed is too fast, so i have to get a slower drip end and try that out. I also have to find a way to get it to drip into a soft brush or something that will apply it to the pad without the pad slinging it off while its running lol. But if/when i ever get it right, a video is definitely going up with how to do it.

      Oh the other issue is that it doesn’t seem to save more time than just spraying the discs lol 😂. So there’s that too

    Hello thank you very much for your video! I have all the materials you use in your video, but I'm having a hard time finding the bauer polishing sponges, would you recommend any other brand? Thanks

      The only other brand I’ve used is Milwaukee but they are not as good. They get the job done but they don’t give the same results as the Bauer pads and don’t last as long.

    What is the water reservoir you have next to the JFJ? And the cable hanging in the lid of the JFJ?

      @GamingRenewedLLC  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Lol 😂 so i basically built a automatic water feeding system that drips water into the jfj directly into the pads while it runs. However, it is still being tweaked. I need to get a slower drip end and also find a way to stop it from immediately slinging the drips all over the place lol.
      If i get it where i want it, then I’ll do a video and show how to set it up. Right now i dont see much of an advantage from just spraying the disc with water pre cycle. But maybe i might if its working right 🤷🏽‍♂️
      Edit: Just to clarify, it was not running during the video in case you (or anyone else) was wondering.
