Well 2012-2013 Serena lost to Stephens, Lisicki, Makarova, Razzano, Azarenka, Kerber, Wozniacki. Iga and Sabalenka are better than all of those players so they would have their chances.
@@bqnanaaa4838 After she switched strings (from old school gut to modern poly) in 2012 before the clay season she went on a tear. The modern strings let her hit out with more spin and margin. It's why her serve was SO GOOD at Wimbledon and the Olympics that year.
Man, I miss Li Na. She was the best and most unique Chinese player ever. Witty, great sense of humor, super athletic and beautiful smooth strokes. All the other Chinese players look the same and have almost identical names, I am never able to tell any of them apart.
It just goes to show that in tennis the years you play the best aren't necessarily the years you win the most slams. Her 2013 form is better than 2015, but she had those two blips at the AO and W where she was up in the 3rd but didn't hold on.
It was the differences and similarities of their game, aura, and attributes that made it entertaining… Statistically, it’s wasn’t a rivalry… Simply high entertainment value
It's always funny to me that Serena haters don't see how transparent they are. Searching for videos of someone you don't like just so you can keep talking about them reeks of desperation.
Some of you are just delusional. I also don't know why you and your fellow fanatics always put laughing emoji in your comments. There's nothing funny. 14 year old Capriati was a slam contender in 1990. A teenage Monica dominated so much before she was stabbed. If you feel that Era was so strong, that's your cup of tea. Azarenka, Li Na, Sharapova are all multiple slam winners.
@@mrrogers302Well, it really was a weak era. None of the opponents that Serena faced between 2010-2017 when she won the majority of her Slams were able to win more than 2 Slams, apart from Kerber. Since then, there have been players who have actually done this - Osaka, Barty, Swiatek and Sabalenka. So it’s a stronger and more competitive era now. Serena is a great player and one of the 4-5 best players of all time, but she wouldn’t have won so many Slams in her 30s if she played against the players I mentioned. She had virtually no clay competition in 2013 and 2015 and still barely managed to beat players like Stephens, Safarova and Bacsinszky. She would have lost to Swiatek in RG pretty convincingly. She was also consistently losing to Osaka on hard courts pretty convincingly too. And Barty and Sabalenka would have put up a much better fight on all surfaces compared to players like Sharapova, Kvitova, Li, Wozniacki, etc.
Let’s be real this Prime Serena would dust Iga, Sabalinka, and Gauff in straight sets 🎾 🏆
Is that even a discussion. She will school them properly.
This Prime Serena would not only dust them but she'd dust the 1st Serena Slam - Serena from 2002-2003.

This Top 10 would eat these new girls up.
They are weak, inconsistent with their game. Whine constantly. Just Do It!
I’d do anything to go back living this era again
She played so well that year. Even though she won more slams in 2002 and 2015. 2013 was the year she played her best tennis.
she played better in 2012... no?
@@bqnanaaa4838very close. i go back and forth.
@@bqnanaaa4838 She wasn't that impressive in the 1st half of 2012. She played very well in the 2nd half of the year

Clayrena 2013! ❤️
she should have won all 4 that year! she is a goddes

I enjoyed seeing how much she challenged Serena. She was one of the few players on tour she truly respected.

That semi against Errani at the FO is the most mind blowing match of all. 70% of all points in that match were Serena winners. Insanity.
78-4 that year
Sloane, Azarenka 2x and Lisicki right?

She dominated Screamapova that year too😂
"Screamapova" 😂😂

2013 Serena was unstoppable
Sharapova would have an amazing year if Serena wasn’t around haha
That year She has lost only 2 matches from Vika at WTA1000 finals
I love 💕 you 🥰

They (media) kept insisting on this big "rival" between Serena and Sharapova, and it really wasn't because Serena "took her to school every time."

Their will never be anither serena. The level of tennis now, is not what it use to be. Serena own thoes players. Especially sharapova
Weak top 10 opponents 😂😂😂
