Yes and I hope they do it clean it up more. Its a tourist destination and a former finance district in the 60's. Relocating the overhead wires, intense cleaning of the esteros and clearing of the unwanted personalities should be of big help
22:15 that's the carriedo fountain and theres only three of that kind in the world (Manila, Philippines, Singapore, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) The old church at your back is the Sta. Cruz Church and not far from it is Escolta
Another walk-and-talk day, brother. You're getting a lot of cardio exercise in the Philippines, huh? That's good, man. Very good! Would you consider going to the islands?
Tater! I haven't seen your videos in a hot minute! Good to see you again! "I apologize, I'm going to encounter a lot of vowels today" - this got me cracking!
You ate at the right spot, Wai Ying. It has always have line since the Chinese New Year in Feb 2022. You are lucky. I dont like duck, it's always tough to eat, and i feel like it's too pricey. Wai Ying musts are HK Milk Tea, Siomai, Hakaw, Beef Wanton Mami. When i was a frequent there in 2010. I felt like all the food in Hong Kong were just normal taste for me.
For a first timer in the Philippines you had made good choices in the foodstuff that you tried ; good thing with some research it helps you along with the choices
You mentioned your love for old historic buildings. You should then go to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan, a resort with 40 original Spanish-Filipino Colonial structures that were transplanted there from different places. And also Corregidor Island (also in Bataan) with it's WWII artilleries, fort ruins, war tunnels, museum, etc.. Would also like to recommend Vigan Heritage Site but it's sadly closed now because of the damages done by recent earthquake. I really hope the government and even NGOs (i think there's actually one dedicated to cultural heritage places) work on restoring it. Coz it's also one of the most popular tourist spots here.
I was trying to secure passage to Corregidor island because I really wanted to go there, but I was unable to find the correct place to take a ferry. They keep changing companies and none of the links online that I find are relevant sadly
@@tatertravels hello...try searching for SUN CRUISES tour for corregidor Island tour. If you're still in Manila bay area, ferry terminal is around the Mall of Asia.
You were going caveman mode with the straw and milk tea there, lol. Haven't had Peking Duck in ages. It has a different taste to chicken i think. But yeah, it's really good. And can't go wrong with Siomai and Siopao, especially there in Binondo coz that's where the authentic Chinese food are. You should have tried the infamous Soup #5 at Cafe Mezannine. It has male cow "family jewels", if you know what i mean, lol. Though Soup #5 is actually a Filipino dish and not Chinese. The loud announcement was about trash pick-up. And yes, you pronounced Pasig correctly. It's also a city here. LOL at you singing Baby Shark :)

You should do Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner there or extend it for another day to get the full experience. Do a list of popular dish to eat like Dumplings, Fresh Lumpia, Tofu, Beef noodles, etc!
A good dipping sauce for your dimplings would be calamansi squeezed on soy sauce (not vinegar, ahem ---I'm sure there was one there). Then you add some chili garlic (yes, that whole mound or spoonful you put on the saucer hahaha) only according to your heat preference. That's what made you cough hihi. Was the earthquake this same day or after?
I think what you meant to say is that the Chinatown in Manila is the oldest Chinatown outside of China😍😍😍 Great video, very interesting. Keep up the good work😀😀😎
They have Cat houses there in Chinatown too. Just ask around. You can get Siomai anywhere. Just go to a Metro LRT/MRT station or at a shopping mall. You can get Siopao at 7-eleven. You can get Chinese food at the SM Mall too. Just go to a North Park or Savory Chicken.
Yep, in Chinatown, you go there with a list otherwise, everything will look the same from the outside. Duck is an expensive item but not much excitement in it really. When eating Siomai or dumplings in the Philippines, always prepare your sauce. Soy sauce, calamansi and chili.

You can walk from Binondo to Quiapo for your camera needs which is way cheaper than the malls. Lastly, ask somebody especially for where to eat, how to eat, where to go , how to get there, etc. Ride the ferry from Binondo to Rockwell Makati and Bgc
